I got my wedding dresses hemmed here with a quick turn around of only 2 weeks. She charged me $120 to hem it (it was $60 but then she had to go back again and take off additional) and charged me $40 to add a bustle. I was initially shocked at the price and questioned her on it. She stated that if I would have gone to David's Bridal (where the dress was from) it would have been more expensive and at least 4 weeks or longer. After leaving I called David's to verify this and she was right. Based off of my dress, they wanted to charge $150-200 just to hem it. I am satisfied with her work and will be back. Just make sure you get a quote prior to dropping off your items (as other reviews have said). read more

Took in a suit to make minor alterations (pants hemmed and move the jacket buttons). Got it back with a rip in the sleeve and the garment bag (who cares about the bag, but seriously, the other was a bit of a problem). When I pointed it out to them, first they denied they had anything to do with it. I assured them I didn't purchase a ripped out suit. At this point they took it to the back of the shop and repaired it, saying that that their worker wasn't paying attention when it happened. As for the button, not sure it was moved or not. I paid the full boat (for nothing, best I can see) and left. Certainly will not be coming back. Glad other customers had a better experience. I will avoid the place at all costs. read more

I took a dress in to have the shoulders taken up. I should have asked ahead of time about the price. It was $60 for the little amount of work they performed. It wouldn't have taken them much time at all. I was definitely over charged. I do not know what other locations charge. I will never use Tran Taylor again. read more

Worst service ever! I left my dress to get altered and told me it would be ready on a certain date. Fast forward 2 weeks and I show up on that day and she tells me to try it on. Nothing was done! She tells me come back in a week and a half but i decide to stop in and 2 days earlier and see how my dress is coming along. She tells me, "I don't know. If you don't have your ticket I can't find it. Go home, find your ticket and call me." I left without my dress which I shouldn't have. I decided to go back and tell her I couldn't find my receipt and another worker says, "it's the yellow dress.", so they bring it out and it still hadn't been touched. I tell her to give me the dress and I would go elsewhere and her reply was, "you worry to much." The lady told me that if she wrote down to pick up at a later date then she would work on it the night before! My dress was left there for weeks and they did nothing to it! When I took it out to try it on at another alteration place I see three stains on my dress! This place is so rude and a waste of time! read more

Extremely rude and expensive. Wanted $70 to take in a dress that I paid $40 for. $30 for a pair of pants that needed to be taken in.

I highly suggest that you do not get your alterations done here. I brought in a work uniform dress that needed a few minor repairs. It had some stitching coming out under one of the arms, I needed the buttons reinforced, also 2 small holes stitched up. The owner was super rude, and told me it would be $70 (WHAT!), and couldn't be done for a week and a half (their sign outside says 24 hours.) The dress isn't worth $70 dollars, and right away I new I was being ripped off. However I didn't have the time to go elsewhere, and figured for $70 they would do a great job. Today I went to pick up my dress, and when I get to the car and look it over, NOTHING WAS DONE! Only the arm stitching, and it was very bad work! I went back inside and asked why these small repairs were not done in a span of two weeks, and what exactly on the dress costs $70? She just snatched the dress and said "Oh they forgot, I'll have for you tomorrow." Obviously that is unacceptable, and when I pressed further, she told me it was not the same dress that was on the ticket. She told me " I must have done another dress for you." I said "I am no liar Ma'am, that is the only dress I have ever brought here, and I have a receipt." She said "yes you are, this is not the same dress." It wasn't until I threatened to call the police that she gave me a refund. She said "I give your money back, I work in this business 20 year, I don't need to deal with people like you." I gotta admit I was a little hesitant to use Trans Tailor based on some reviews I had read, but the experience was surprisingly good. They are a little over priced, but they do a good job which makes it worth it. I made sure to try on everything before I walked out (just in case) and it all looked great. They did forget to do some of the fixes, but they were really quick to admit to their mistake, fixed it free of charge and had it ready the next day. read more

Tran has always done a very good job on my alterations. These have included hemming trousers, shortening sleeves on outerwear, and even altering sport coats that had become too large for me. One week is their standard, but when I've been in a time bind, they have helped me out with one-day service with no extra charge. In comparing notes with my friends, I conclude that Tran's pricing is quite competitive with other good-quality tailors in this area. This is definitely a business where you get what you pay for. I recently had my bridesmaid dress altered as it was too large in some places, and too tight when I would sit. Ms. Tran did a fantastic job!!! It fits me perfectly. I brought heels to the 2nd appointment and she hemmed my dress to not be caught on my shoes (still keeping the dress floor length). I don't know the pricing, but I love the results. read more
