Fantastic atmosphere with great staff. The food is always enjoyable. Not a bad thing on the menu. Always consistent.

August 12/2025: Grad dinner for Garrett…read more At first, I thought this LOOKED like a great sports bar. Lots of seating, tons of TV's & what appeared to be a decent menu. Then it shifted to screaming "CHEAP"! We sat at the bar as the hostess said the seating was full but it looked FAR from full. It also didn't fill up during the time we were there either. Then I looked closer & many things fell apart. The service was slow, the food was both mediocre and had super small portion size. The draft beer size LOOKED big but in reality it was more like a 12oz pint with a really big mug. It was Taco Tuesday. The Tacos were $3.49/taco, beef or chicken. They were a decent size but virtually tasteless & the meat on both was completely dried out completely. I ordered the house signature wings, xtra saucy ($18.99) for a Pound. They should have been embarrassed by what they turned out! They were exactly opposite to what the menu said. They were TINY & almost devoid of sauce! I'm unclear as to what the obstacle is for saucy wings!? All in all...this is definitely NOT a do over or a recommend.

Review of The Canadian Brewhouse - Kitchener Location…read more Overall Rating: 1 out of 5 stars (Poor/Inedible) Our recent experience at the Kitchener location was extremely disappointing, marked by logistical issues, slow service, and significant quality problems with the food. First Impressions & Seating Upon arrival, the entrance area was poorly managed. With a party of five, there was literally no space to stand while waiting, which created an immediate bottleneck and awkward experience for both our group and others entering/exiting. Service & Drinks Once seated, we ordered drinks promptly. While the Diet Pepsi, Lemonade, and water were fine, the Club Soda was noticeably flat. Our food order took an excessive 45 minutes to arrive, and only after our server proactively checked on the kitchen's status. Food Quality - Major Issues The most critical issue was the quality of the food across multiple dishes. It was unacceptable. Items ordered: Spicy Hickory Burger: WAY overcooked/burnt. The taste of char dominated the flavour. The accompanying fries were the only saving grace. Canadian Burgers with cheese and bacon: The burger itself was burnt, and the bacon was burnt crispy. The sweet potato fries were soggy. Creamy Chicken Alfredo with mushrooms: Minimal chicken (only 1 sliver initially). When a replacement chicken breast was provided, it was burnt. Creamy Chicken Alfredo (no mushrooms): The pasta itself was mediocre ("meh"), but the portion of chicken was generous, receiving the fewest complaints from our party. Chorizo Mac and Cheese (new menu item): Inedible. The flavour was utterly appalling--metallic and burnt, tasting like "dirt sautéed in a dirty pan." I had to spit it out. The pasta also featured pieces of unmelted cheese, indicating poor preparation. We also signed up for the app (before we got our food) to get the free appetizer which was a cheesy garlic bread. We got it with marinara for take home. After you peel off the burned bacon and cheese layer, you're left with a decent pizza dough to dip in decent marinara. Conclusion The pervasive issue of burnt food (affecting three out of five entrées) and the truly inedible quality of the new Chorizo Mac and Cheese indicates a severe breakdown in the kitchen. Combined with the cramped waiting area and slow service, we cannot recommend this location and hope management addresses these fundamental quality control issues immediately. On the bright side, our waitress was nice. We will never eat here again.

The Canadian Brewhouse - Great food and excellent service, my first time to a Canadian Brewhouse - try the Donair, true Canadian cuisine! Will definitely be back.

Although the beer deal $5 pints seem to be tied to a burger deal ? Maybe it's the staff understanding of the menu The Reno in side is excellent ! Clean modern bright , My wife enjoyed the naked wings ( yes with all the sauces and rubs she wants plain ) I ordered , with a very capable waitress , friendly and honest young lady , I ordered the classic burger and did the French onion soup as side All arrived via a server . The wings were good w dip and celery sticks My burger was good , thick juicy patty and Hot ! All dishes were piping hot food . My soup ? Well it needs work It looked fine with melted cheese in the crockpot bowl but the broth was suspect ? It was pale white or clear with lots of onion bits but bland , onion soup I usually find is a deep brown beef broth I think and maybe enhanced with a splash of red wine or boozed . And again it was HOT , burnt by mouth inside , dumb me eh . We tried the desert menu Carrot Cake . We can judge a good restaurant by the kitchens interpretation of a classic carrot cake . This was $10 It arrived as a thin wedge of a piece about 2 inches thick , dressed with Carmel and chocolate syrups This is not carrot cake but billed as classic and more on the menu . It was tasty but not as menu would like you to think Frankly the whole menu is likely Ai generated with surpurplus descriptions We will clearly return in a month after the many managers calm down and let the waitress do their thing as we saw and heard lots of directions given Another little thing is the waitress' have iPads attached to them , kinda clumsy thing in a tight tabled area But it's their pos program that can be viewed by managers I think

I am in Woodstock for work, and a colleague suggested I give this place a try. What an awesome…read moreplace! There is an outside patio, and a large open interior space - definitely a bit of a biergarden feel to it. You go to the bar to order your food and drinks, and tell the server where you are sitting. They then bring the food out to you. Let's talk about the food! More specifically, let's talk about the poutine! I'm not Canadian, but I have had poutine before - and theirs might be the best I have ever had. The gravy was amazing, you could tell they add beer when they are making it. I also tried their regular cheeseburger - cooked perfectly, juicy, and delicious. If I hadn't had the poutine, I'd give it high marks for the burger alone. Don't sleep on this place, it's great. Now, I don't consume alcohol, so I can't comment on the quality of their beer - but my work colleague said it was very good. I did try their vanilla soda - and it was really good. High marks all around!

April 23/2023: This was a 100% low to mediocre meal…read more The place was busy but not jammed. it seemed to be a low end family restaurant. It was a "seat yourself", order your food & pick up your own drinks brewpub. The server themselves seemed to be doing little except deliver your food & clear the tables. My food was the TexMex Nacho Wrap ($17.00) w waffle fries. It SHOULD have been piping hot cause it took 45 minutes for us to get our food!! Instead, it was lukewarm with not much taste to it to boot! This was disappointing as the menu (attached) LOOKED very nice but the food disappointed. Our server(s) were less then polite & it kinda turned me off from the get go. As a seasoned restaurant goer...go somewhere else...this wasn't good. To the restaurant owner(s)...do a better job for crying out loud!
