The food was amazing. Pork belly slider was bomb. It usually comes as a serving of three sliders, the server was sweet enough to mention it so we had the possibility to add another. My friend and I chose SKT as the midway point to meet for brunch this weekend. We both ordered the eggs Benedict for brunch. My friend got the garden Benedict, coffee, and a Caesar and I got the SKT Benedict. Overall, the eggs Benedict was a little disappointing because the eggs were almost fully cooked - almost a hard boiled egg. Barely any yolk ooze. However, I enjoyed the side garden salad. My friend mentioned the Caesar was good because it was spicy just the way she likes it. Service was great throughout our visit. The server checked up on us several times to make sure everything was good. read more

I was in the area for business and went to "Sociable Kitchen and Tavern" with my colleague. Although we were here for an early lunch in the middle of the week, it was packed with people and after having my lunch, I found out why it was so popular: the quality of the food was amazing. I ordered a Brisket Platter, but it wasn't ready just yet. So I changed my order to "Brisket Burger" and my colleague ordered "Blue Burger". Both burgers were made out of fresh ingredients and tasted great. The wait staff were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our time here. read more

Excellent spot with a wide variety of menu items! I'm not a beer drinker but have tried several of the cocktails and they're delicious and not watered down or full of ice like many other spots. Love their spicy margarita most of all! I've been here at least a dozen times and my most ordered items are the sweet potato wedges with this incredible five spice aioli, and the Cobb salad. We visited yesterday and had the fish and chips and chicken wings. The fish ( Haddock ) was huge, hot and delicious, the breading on it was nice and light and not greasy like some restaurants serve it. I will definitely have it again. We had the Buffalo style wings and they were very tasty as well. I like the fact that carrots and celery were included as a lot of places are now charging for it. We were greeted at the door by a very friendly young lady and our server was awesome as well. This restaurant has a lot of tv's so every seat has a good view of the sporting events on. This is one of my favourite spots in Brantford. Their fish tacos are locally famous. They also do an incredible cheddar cheese soup. One of the cool things they have on site is a photo booth. It's a large restaurant with hard top seating on one side and the other side has large booths. There's also a huge bar. All the staff are very friendly and kind. Food comes out quickly and is hot and fresh. Also, I love the huge parking lot. There's so much parking. read more

We stumbled upon this satisfying joint after playing disc golf in the area. We have eaten here twice in the last 2 months, even though we live an hour away. The menu is extensive, which is sometimes a restaurant downfall, but everything we and our friends have tried have been delicious and interesting. The chicken and waffles are outrageous. Salads are complex and tasty. The fish and chips are solid. Great craft beer menu, but check your prices. There is the odd high ticket surprise. The cocktails are the hit for me. I've tried a few and all have been amazing. Solid place with a great atmosphere. We'll go here every time we get to Paris or Brantford. read more

Went here for a late snack on a Friday night. We arrived around 10:00pm and there were still quite a few customers here. We asked for a booth and they happily obliged. The place is really nice inside, very modern looking with lots of cool metal used throughout and heavily cushioned horseshoe shaped booths. The server treated us with a smile and we told her this was out first time at the place. She was super helpful, letting us know some of most popular dishes and how they were prepared--very impressed! We ordered the nachos with chicken and it arrived in about 20 minutes. There was a lot of nachos on the plate, but the chicken didn't seem that fresh, and was a grey colour. They do put hot sauce on the nachos, and even with us telling them to put half of the amount on, some bites were still far too spicy hot. The server gave us samples of six different kinds of beer, I had a citrus one that was nice and refreshing. I think this place is perfect for hanging out with friends and sampling different beers. I'll have to try some entrees the next time I'm in here to see if they are a lot better than their nachos. read more

Went here for a date night with my fiance. I absolutely loved it. Friendly service and I like the idea of online menus. Although the table was extremely sticky. I don't know if that was from sanitizer but it felt like it wasn't cleaned properly. The food was delicious great flavour and the steak was tender. I thought this place was great, I'd definitely return anytime. They have a great beer selection, the service was friendly and prompt with our large group, the decor was stylish but the menu is what sold me. A certain collection of foods exist where there are so many amazingly put together meals that it's nearly impossible to choose what to order, and I found that here at Sociable. Their menu was packed full of choices. I ordered the Taco Trio (one fish, one chicken, one brisket). All were yummy and the staff accommodated my dairy allergy, but if I could go back & change things I would have just ordered 3 fish tacos, those were the bomb!!! I couldn't even eat the fries because the tacos were so big. Two women in our party ordered the Mac and Cheese and both complained of it being rather tasteless. I didn't snag a taste but I just thought I would mention that. They have an awesome photo booth here, so bring a $5 bill for some old school nostalgic fun! read more

This is another venture by Charcoal group. A lot of the menu was similar to Beertown. They have a photo booth ($5 for 2 strips) which I loved! Big and spacious. Went on a Sunday night and the place wasn't busy. We had 3 different servers in the course of 2 hours - Linda weird. I'd go back, there aren't many good options in Brantford, so this is a good one. read more

On our way to Niagara falls from Michigan we stopped in for lunch here with our two kids. Was the perfect place for us to grab a chill bite to eat without judgement and really good food. None of us were disappointed. Great local beer selection, delicious food options above bar food standard: we ordered a fried chicken burger, steak kids platter, fish and chips kid platter, and a delicious lettuce chicken wrap platter. They also had a little photo booth that kept the kids entertained. Our server Justin was super attentive, but in a non intrusive way. Just the right balance. The problem is that is the only place in the world that the bartender won't talk other than getting me a beer or food, but the whit guy who sat down adjacent to to me she has all kinds of time for non-natives. I have travelled the world and Brantford On is the only place in the world I can be invisible. Have been back since my last visit summer of 2022. 5 visits to put my finger on the issue. The food was great. Almost exact menu as beer town. Same Wideman group so that makes sense. Atmosphere is very similar. Nice and busy so it is a happening place. Service was very slow and the servers were very difficult to find (at least ours). Manager came by to check things out but we did not say anything. Our beer was empty for far too long. For a wetting hole the hole was far too dry (slow service). The food is decent and the in house made condiments were both tasty and a nice touch. The burgers were very good and the fries make you want to come back. Nachos were decent and the Mac and cheese was exactly the same as at beertown. Overall experience a solid three. If the service was better a four would have been easy. I would definitely suggest trying if you are in town or passing through. I would come back and just cross my fingers for better service. Went with a group of four. We had quick service. A large selection of craft beers. I ordered the cheddar ale soup followed by the taco trio. The soup was very rich but delicious. It left me very full - would be delicious on a cold winter evening. The taco trio was quite good - though I took home the fried fish because I was full enough to no longer have space. Hostess was friendly but I sat at the bar and was immediately addressed even though the place was very busy. All of the staff acted as though they appreciated me being here. Great selection of beers on drought and bottles along with spirits. I had the nachos with beef brisket. This is enough food for three people. I ate about half. Much better than average nachos. Great job people. Definitely would recommend this place. Cool interior decor with both indoor and outdoor seating. I will be back when I am back in town. read more

Our family went to Sociable Tavern on King George Road in Brantford,Ontario. It's quit a busy place, we were told we would have to wait 1/2 hour we only had to wait 10 minutes. Then our waitress Sandra came took our orders. She was great by the way!!! So our family was chatting and the manager came and says that there was a dilemma because our waitress forgot to send our order and that they were making the order right now and it should only be a few more minutes!!! The manager apologized and says our order was on the house. We told the manager that there really was no need to do this but he insisted. That is amazing customer service. They sure take care of their customers. The food was really good! My daughter and I orders an appetizer called Korean pork tacos it was so good!!! We loved it. This is our main order. My husband had the proper fish and chips, my daughter had the ultimate mac & cheese with chicken, my son had the flat iron steak and frites and I had the bacon cheddar burger. Everything was delicious. The only negative comment I have is that the poutine I had with my burger was not hot enough. We then ordered some dessert. We had the apple crisp and cheesecake. I think it was called the marble brownie cheesecake. It was delicious. I don't normally like cheesecake but this was excellent!! ****I forgot to mention everything is made from scratch. Buns, condiment etc. You have to try it out. You will be happy you did!!!**** I definitely recommend Sociable Tavern. If you are looking for a quiet place though this is not the place to go to. I cannot express how disappointed we are after our latest visit. What was once our go to spot has now become a place we will avoid. We were upset to see that some of our favourite items were no longer available as they were replaced with several over priced options. While expressing our opinion our waitress flat out turned around and walked away from us. Nothing negative was said, just a simple mention of how much we loved the curry. After ordering we proceeded to observe the staff openly complaining and looking absolutely miserable. Our server disappeared and only returned to collect our bill. No effort was made to refill drinks or ask about the quality of the food. Our meals were delivered to the wrong table twice and when they did arrive they were subpar and cold. Changing their menu to focus on 18 hour smoked brisket, in my opinion, was a mistake because the quality just isn't there. Their taco trio was very disappointing, the chicken was chewy and the flavour of the brisket was off putting. We also ordered the Wasabi nachos and could not finish either meal. Never could we have imagined having an experience like this here and sadly we will not be returning. read more
