Lovely casual dining experience. Sarah was knowledgeable,…read moreinformative and enthusiastic. Brian produces innovative, tasty plates in a timely manner. Nice ambiance. We were even given complimentary digestives. Highly recommend you try it.

Booooring. Good service, typical boutique / tourist destination restaurant pricing (not cheap),…read moremostly small plate servings...but overall a disappointment. We ordered: blue crab hashbrowns (the only standout; would definitely order again, except that I won't likely return), salt roasted beets, brussel sprout caesar, scallops, and duck breast; then we both had creme brûlée and espresso. We tried the three white wines, one was a forgettable Chardonnay and the other two...were equally forgettable, notwithstanding being less common grapes. Only the duck was a main-size serving, and we only chose it because when we ordered there was only one order of scallops remaining (for a 5:30 seating!). I want to say "just as well" because the scallops and sauce were bland so we got to try something else...however the duck was not merely uninteresting but the red pepper sauce didn't complement and contributed nothing. The scallops were priced like a main but only four little guys on the plate, the one upside if we had both chosen them we'd have had room for another order of those crab hashbrowns. The beets were also dull, no idea why the word salt is in the name because it was absent from the dish. No tang to anything except the brussel Caesar. I've seen the brussel sprout restaurant renaissance of the last 10-15 years, this dish is pretty common now. This one was on a par with many others I've had but no improvement, and some might be put off: fully half the outer leaves are charred to the point of becoming a mouthful of ash. Not crispy, just dry ash. I guess that's different...and maybe this is the root of the problem. This restaurant makes a point of changing their menu constantly; not just seasonally, but weekly, even daily. So maybe they're just trying out stuff that pops into the chef's head. With the exception of the crab, every dish seemed to need something to make it interesting or appealing. The espresso was good, but the creme brûlée was another ill conceived concoction, with some kind of raspberry trifle thing on the bottom and the creme was a strange thick porridge-like texture and not quite the typical flavour. Last complaint: their self-description says Elevated Comfort. No. Mundane bistro look and ok seating, but that steep and poorly lit descent to the basement washrooms is the opposite of comfort. Hey, maybe we just picked the wrong items from their evolving experiment of a menu. The people are all nice, the service was good, and none of the food was bad...just meh.

I have been to the Creamery plenty of times in the last 7 years I have come to visit my friend who…read morelives in town. When we were here, she told me that this place is now under new management and is now called O'Leary's Creamery Pub & Grill. I think it's absolutely fantastic, but I also did enjoy the old Creamery too when I first came to visit. The menu has been updated and now has a bit more upscale items, but still has that pub food you know and love. Perusing the menu, which has a lot of options, we both split some spinach dip, and it came with deep fried pita triangles, and tortilla chips. The chip to dip ratio was a bit more, but the dip was so good. For our actual meal, I had decided on the chicken wrap with the 40creek BBQ sauce, I upscaled it with cheese (adding cheese or bacon on this is I believe an extra $1.34, crispy chicken and upped my side to sweet potato fries instead of regular fries and it was great choice. My friend got the Nacho salad, which came with pita chips strings, corn, romaine lettuce and a bbq ranch dressing, which she only used half. Our meals came out promptly, the fries were hot, my wrap was delicious and flavourful, and her salad was delicious as well. The restaurant was not that busy today at all, and we thought from the outside it wasn't open, but luckily it was! We had the choice of wherever to be seated, which we chose closest to the bar area. The ambience was quiet today, figuring it was the first day back to work for everyone. It was nice to sit and talk and actually hear your friend on the other side talking. The washrooms were clean, and very warm, the whole place was kept up nicely, our waitress was super friendly and gave us good suggestions and recommendations. I love the creamery! I visit her as often as I can and I'm the usually the one driving to town to visit, which I don't mind, I love the small Stonetown of St. Mary's and the places it offers!

I was there yesterday and got the special, Fish and Chips,…read moreWell what i got was (i'm not sure what the coating was) perch and fries. The coating was horrible....the tarter sauce was not tarter but again horrible. The fries were definitely not fresh. What i thought i ordered was BATTERED Fish n Chips.....not the special perch dinner????? It was take out ...therefore i didn't notice the fish before i got home....i live 15 minutes away. Also...i did not feel well for the rest of the day after eating it. SOOOO disappointed.
