Fish and chips! Would you like a bigger portion??

Needed a sports team friendly place that could accommodate a big party of hungry teens. Moose Winooskis did NOT disappoint! Our server was prepared for us and immediately told us names of 2 other servers for our party. She already had a plan to split the bill by Jersey numbers too! They did not automatically charge a service fee which is reflective that they are confident in their great service! Food? Many options for your typical palates, such as burgers and sandwiches...but they also offer salad bowls, nice vegetarian options and real meals (like schnitzel and meatloaf!) We were so pleased with this choice! Will come again!

    Medium wings.

I have good memories of this restaurant since my University days (that's mid 90's people and yes, I'm old). At the time, this restaurant's patio (especially in the summer) used to be the place to be. Drinks, food and meeting with friends to have a good time. I loved how the patio was laid out. We used to always get the typical bar food like burgers, pizza, nachos and wings. My favorite was/is the wings! Fast forward to 2018 and the back patio is no longer there along with the Mini Golf place. They did a huge renovation a while ago and the place inside is divided into a sit down restaurant and a bar sections. The bar is littered with lots of TV screens to catch and watch the latest games. Even, in the restaurant section, there are a few TV screens in the back so you'll never miss any of the sports action. The patio is now located in the front/side front of the restaurant. As another reviewer stated, this place does look even more like an old Ski/Hunting lodge after the renovation as you enter from the front. My parents and sister still live in the KW area and we often come to this place to eat out. It's a popular choice for the whole family. This place still brings people in as depending of the time of the day, you could wait awhile to get a table. I usually sit on the restaurant section when I'm with my family and sit in the bar section while with friends. The menu has evolved and they have a lot of different options but I always stick to my original choice, the wings. I have yet to find a better place in the GTA that makes their wings as good or as big as Moose and that includes Morty's in the KW area. I usually either gets them plain with sauce at the side or get the Medium version. Some of their selection like the Sea Salt and Black Pepper are too salty so my suggestion will be to just order them plain and ask for the sauce at the side. The Nachos are pretty good too but sometimes, it can be a bit of a hit and miss. We usually add the ground beef and avocado. Just a heads up, as they don't give you much avocado and they charge you extra. The burgers and pizza are good and you won't be disappointed. So why the 3 stars only? It comes down to price. Their food prices are not cheap. It will be an expensive outing no matter what you order. Having said that, the service are usually very good and portions are big. Also make sure to come when somebody is celebrating a birthday, so the birthday person can wear a moose hat and spin a wheel to get a pie in the face. Part of the experience... Also this place is loud especially in the bar section. It might be a little bit of a sensory overload with all of the screens, games and noise. Just a warning. Recommended to visit at least once for the experience. #6 of 2018

Wow! What a great meal. Completely shocked to come onto Yelp and see this restaurant only rated 3 stars. 5 stars by far!! Our server was Michelle T. who was incredibly nice and welcoming. We will most definitely be coming back here and highly recommend to all looking for pub style food. Lunch was absolutely delicious! I had caesar salad and then the spinach and artichoke dip. The salad wasn't heavy with dressing and the dip had nachos and baked pitas. There was enough dip that I packed the rest up to go. My partner had the steak sandwich and thought it was great! It came with vegetables, fries, AND onion rings!

It's a sports bar like other sports bars. It's no Real Sports bar but they sure have enough screens. Around 50 in the bar area alone! Asked what was on tap and I got an answer, "there are 22 on tap...do you have a particular one?" Well how about "if I knew what I want, I would not have asked what's on tap?" Is what I said in my mind! I usually like local beers and micro brews and in the end, chose an Amsterdam Brewery one of some sort. Looked at the menu and with such a bad feeling from lunch - see Fork and Cork Grill review - I decided to forgo food at the Moose. May make Moose Droppings on the long drive back home! Ew! My host chose this site for my last meeting in the KWC area because it was close to the hotel he was staying. In the end, we all just drank a couple of beers and left. He walked to the hotel, I walked to my car. I think I was glowing from being exposed to so many TV's. All in all, nothing special. Won't go out of my way to go there again, but if I need a place to have a drink over a meeting, it would fit the bill.

On first arrival it was jammed. People waiting outside. It was a Friday night and my family arrived around 8:30pm. The hostess was very friendly and so was the waitress. After only a 15 min wait we were able to be seated. They have car seat holders. It was so loud I could barely hear my husband across the table or the waitress but it didn't really bother me because she was so attentive and memorized our order. The food was delicious. Ribs were what they claimed they are known for and I would have to agree. The wings were delicious too. We had tequila lime and honey garlic. Overall a great experience.

Horrible staff- bad tasting food. Disappointment tbh. Whatever you do don't order the guacamole it is stored in a bag in the freezer!

August 12/2025: Grad dinner for Garrett…read more At first, I thought this LOOKED like a great sports bar. Lots of seating, tons of TV's & what appeared to be a decent menu. Then it shifted to screaming "CHEAP"! We sat at the bar as the hostess said the seating was full but it looked FAR from full. It also didn't fill up during the time we were there either. Then I looked closer & many things fell apart. The service was slow, the food was both mediocre and had super small portion size. The draft beer size LOOKED big but in reality it was more like a 12oz pint with a really big mug. It was Taco Tuesday. The Tacos were $3.49/taco, beef or chicken. They were a decent size but virtually tasteless & the meat on both was completely dried out completely. I ordered the house signature wings, xtra saucy ($18.99) for a Pound. They should have been embarrassed by what they turned out! They were exactly opposite to what the menu said. They were TINY & almost devoid of sauce! I'm unclear as to what the obstacle is for saucy wings!? All in all...this is definitely NOT a do over or a recommend.

Review of The Canadian Brewhouse - Kitchener Location…read more Overall Rating: 1 out of 5 stars (Poor/Inedible) Our recent experience at the Kitchener location was extremely disappointing, marked by logistical issues, slow service, and significant quality problems with the food. First Impressions & Seating Upon arrival, the entrance area was poorly managed. With a party of five, there was literally no space to stand while waiting, which created an immediate bottleneck and awkward experience for both our group and others entering/exiting. Service & Drinks Once seated, we ordered drinks promptly. While the Diet Pepsi, Lemonade, and water were fine, the Club Soda was noticeably flat. Our food order took an excessive 45 minutes to arrive, and only after our server proactively checked on the kitchen's status. Food Quality - Major Issues The most critical issue was the quality of the food across multiple dishes. It was unacceptable. Items ordered: Spicy Hickory Burger: WAY overcooked/burnt. The taste of char dominated the flavour. The accompanying fries were the only saving grace. Canadian Burgers with cheese and bacon: The burger itself was burnt, and the bacon was burnt crispy. The sweet potato fries were soggy. Creamy Chicken Alfredo with mushrooms: Minimal chicken (only 1 sliver initially). When a replacement chicken breast was provided, it was burnt. Creamy Chicken Alfredo (no mushrooms): The pasta itself was mediocre ("meh"), but the portion of chicken was generous, receiving the fewest complaints from our party. Chorizo Mac and Cheese (new menu item): Inedible. The flavour was utterly appalling--metallic and burnt, tasting like "dirt sautéed in a dirty pan." I had to spit it out. The pasta also featured pieces of unmelted cheese, indicating poor preparation. We also signed up for the app (before we got our food) to get the free appetizer which was a cheesy garlic bread. We got it with marinara for take home. After you peel off the burned bacon and cheese layer, you're left with a decent pizza dough to dip in decent marinara. Conclusion The pervasive issue of burnt food (affecting three out of five entrées) and the truly inedible quality of the new Chorizo Mac and Cheese indicates a severe breakdown in the kitchen. Combined with the cramped waiting area and slow service, we cannot recommend this location and hope management addresses these fundamental quality control issues immediately. On the bright side, our waitress was nice. We will never eat here again.
