Levee House Bistro - Dessert

Levee House Bistro

A must if you would like great food from a great chef. Chef Tom and his wife are dedicated to…read moremaking sure you enjoy your experience at the Levee House. The service is always friendly and the food is always delicious. It is located on the Ohio river and has a wonderful view with very little street traffic. We highly recommend checking this place out and making it a go to when in town.

Spent a fall day checking out Marietta, and stumbled upon the Levee House Bistro…read more Right on the waterfront, on a quiet street, the views are terrific. It was a bit chilly for outside the day we went, but had we come here in warmer weather outside would have been a must. The restaurant was well appointed, I guess it could be called "casual fancy". We did not feel out of place in jeans and flannel shirts at lunch. For dinner I would suggest business casual. The dining room was a bit stuffy temp-wise, but the weather outside was having a hard time making up its mind!!!!! Our server was great. Very knowledgeable on the menu and all things local. Prompt and on point The food though, that is the highlight, as it should be. My wife ordered the Lobster Roll with house made Broccoli Salad. This was a ridiculously inexpensive $17! Not only that, but when her plate arrived there were TWO lobster rolls. I would have expected to pay double-and-a-half for what she had on her plate anywhere else. She loved the lobster rolls a lot. I am no fan of mayo so I had to forego the Lobster Rolls as they only offer New England Style. I do wish there was a Connecticut Style option! I had the Chicken parm Sandwich with fries, and it was very good. I do wish they served fresh cut fries. Just a preference for me especially in a chef lead dining establishment....last thing I want to see is frozen fries Overall, we were both very happy with our lunch here and would definitely return.

This is our go to Saturday ride to Amish Country. I can't believe this is my second week in a row…read more You get there and you add your name to the list and step back, or go outside and wait. It's packed but do not get impatient, they have this down to a science and you are usually called within 20-30 minutes or less. It depends on the line. The food is tasty, very delicious. The pies... yum o'lala. Clean, everyone is kind. Oh and the Amish families eat there, so you know it has to be good. Our guest ate from the Buffett, we eat from the menu.

I would argue that this is very good down-home cooking! There was a lot of people who came at once…read morebut they have plenty of seating so there wasn't really a wait. There's a buffet or menu items to choose from. We got the buffet. Full salad bar with fresh ingredients, local cheese. Cold salads like macaroni and broccoli. The croutons were good, crunchy but not break your teeth and they had a variety of breads they used. Fresh bacon pieces. The hot foods bar had: -fried chicken (VERY good, highly recommend) -cabbage casserole (little too cheesy for me) -corn (very very sweet, interesting) -noodles (YUM!!!) -dressing (what they call stuffing, it was good) -bbq ribs (fall of the bone but I thought the sauce could be better, have more flavor) -green beans (basic, would be better with seasoning/butter) -mashed potatoes and gravy (yum!) We had good service and overall the buffet was a better deal than ordering something off the menu, especially if you wanted to try a couple different things. It was a good way to get a wide variety of items. Lemonade was very fresh
