When the associate brought out the items, two of them were incorrect. After the associate verified the mistake, I was asked to wait while he retrieved the correct products. The customer service issues I experienced include: Incorrect items were provided despite the order confirmation indicating they were in stock. I waited while the associate attempted to retrieve the correct items, during which multiple other customers were able to retrieve their orders without delay. After being told the items were not in stock, I asked to cancel the order and was directed to Customer Service at the front of the store to process a refund, instead of resolving it at the pickup counter. Manager escalation did not result in any solution or goodwill gesture for the inconvenience; I was told nothing could be done. No alternative solutions were offered, such as shipping the items to me, which would have prevented additional trips. This experience reflects a breakdown in order accuracy and basic customer service. I hope this feedback is used to improve the pickup process and customer support. The purpose of choosing this location was the online indication that the items were in stock and ready for pickup.

Before I knew it we finished both designed and I had the materials list and design drawing printed out and ready to submit to the city. I love how Manards has everything I need for any project. I was attempting to purchase the 4 step Lawn treatments on sale for $94.99, for Ace Hardware members. However, the cashier was ringing it as the full price of $119.99 and charging tax on the $119.99 instead of the sale price. I inquired to him about the charge of the tax, his reply was that this store has their own tax of $7.00 to everyone. I requested the manager, who corrected the cashier on the tax. I explained the problem was the price being charged instead of the sales price. The cashier, in lane #1, got very upset and said this is dumb either you pay or not. I'm not going to be overcharged because you say so. He was very irritated and argued with the manager as well. This time he said I was acting dumb. The manager did not give his name or the cashier name. I was terribly upset and informed the cashier that he should never argue with the customer and call them dumb, when you were in the wrong not me. During the incident, other customers were observing the interactions, and refused to go in his lane after I ended my transaction. If I visit this Ace Hardware Store again and this particular cashier is the only one checking out, I will not make a purchase there.
