One of my favorite DC Trader Joe's locations. Always has what I need and the lines move quickly. FREE garage parking. Friendly service. __ I eat. @f.hux I thrift. @DCthriftish

The Monteli Pizza Crust Trader Joes used to carry has been discontinued. Put your John Hancock on this petition so we can get it back! https://chng.it/L2kQH2ctLS

Stopped in to grab a few groceries. The first thing I noticed is the store layout isn't as organized as what I'm used to (ie 14th Street, Clarendon). The food options were the same to say the very least. I thankfully didn't encounter a long line on a Friday evening. There is street parking, but we parked far and had to walk. Definitely wasn't my favorite Trader Joe's, but a Trader Joe's is a Trader Joe's.

Always the great food selection and service at all Trader Joe's. Love how they incorporate local vibe into their artwork. Especially happy as I was able to add the VA bag to my collection. Have been in the area several times this year and haven't been able to find. Even had friends looking for me! Bonus was getting NC bag as well!

I love Trader Joe's! This is not my favorite Trader Joe's location solely due to its smaller size, but it still has everything that I usually look to stock up on. It's always been so busy and buzzing with people shopping every time I've stopped by. As with all Trader Joe's, my favorite things to get here are the veggies and fruits which are always fresh and affordable! The frozen meals and pizza are great for busy days when I'm too tired to cook my meals. I also love love love stocking up on wine, cheeses, prosciutto, crackers, and other snacks for hosting friends over. I heart TJ's!

I feel like some things I buy from TJs go bad ridiculously quickly (yogurt) but that's an easy sacrifice.

But this place is an absolute gem in Georgetown for cheesesteaks and chicken cheesesteaks! Their Oreo cookies are one of a kind, great! I will always come back to this spot when in Georgetown!

It's great if you live in the area after you order here because then you can go to your house and…read moreread War & Peace or go run a marathon or watch a Nationals game--because that is how long it will take to get your sandwiches! There were two people in front of us when we ordered a chicken madness, a grilled cheese, and some fries, and yet, it took FOREVER to come out. We were pretty pissed when we finally sat down to eat. Speaking of sitting down, there's nowhere to sit! We literally perched on the steps of a fire escape between a dumpster and a rat trap--excellent dining conditions. At this point, we were going to hate the food no matter what, but we can't even report that we grudgingly liked it because it was so awful. The chicken madness had tiny pieces that were flying out of the bun, and they couldn't even bother putting the knife through the bottom slice to cut it fully in half. The meat-pepper mixture had zero salt and there was NO pickle included (though promised) to have some acidity to cut through the grease of it all. Our daughter put away her grilled cheese because she was beyond hangry, but the fries were limp and sad. UGH--why would anybody willingly order food from here?? Oh, let's talk about the cookies. Do you like the taste of stale butter and feeling like you just bit into the greasiest cookie imaginable? That's what it's like to sample the M&M and oreo cookie. Maybe this place is amazing at 2:00 am in the morning after a night at the bars. But in the light of day on a Sunday afternoon? Two stars, and that's rounding up. Do not go here unless you want to reenact a scene from Waiting for Godot but make it Guy Fieri-themed.

Therefore, for that moment I felt like I was in heaven when I stopped in and saw the wine selections, my heart was happy, I felt like I was back home in Seattle, WA, and for those of you who have never been to Washington State, one thing you need to know is this, you can buy beer, wine and liquor very late at any grocery store, 7-11, gas stations and/mom & pop stores in and outiside of the city and that's why I was so happy to see Trader Joe's in DC had the option to shop for both groceries libations (wine). The staff members are always happy to help you find items, and customer service is always great, in my opinion. I love me some Trader Joe's, even if I'm not able to purchase wine at my local Trader Joe's, or not is still my favorite place to shop for my groceries since I eat the same thing I already know how much I'm going to spend on griceries. and I will take the drive. However, now I will make the drive to DC to do both when I can. After all, I'm a road warrior. Again, this is just my opinion and experiences. Love U!

I regularly go to the Glover Park location so am quite familiar with the layout, but I must say this location is spacious and even when it's busy, it's rarely overwhelming. Also the staff here are what makes this location so great! They are always so friendly, fast, and efficient! I have been to other locations where there was a lack of friendliness and efficiency, and these qualities really make the difference. Trader Joe's also still manages to have reasonable prices in DC which I appreciate. Lastly, they have free parking which is always a bonus.

We came in, found what we needed, checked out, and were back out the door without any issues. The convenience and walkability were definitely the biggest perks. That said, my colleague has told me some horror stories about the parking situation here, plus the higher prices and people loitering outside. Luckily, we walked over so we avoided the parking chaos entirely. Based on my experience alone, it was fine -- but it seems like timing and how you get here might make a big difference.

Parking: You have to drive down into an underground parking lot. That's cool, but you had to spend a $10 minimum to get free parking. Bet-let me get my little list together and head in. Shopping Experience-the store is nicely organized and the staff is friendly. I easily found everything that I needed to get. Upon exiting the store, I asked about how to get out of the parking area without having to pay. I was told that I would need to use the barcode on the receipt to scan out of the parking garage (remember this later in my review). Parking: I made an error and followed someone exiting the parking area and they ended up going further into the parking garage instead of going up. That was my mistake. I was in an area with taped paper arrows. It honestly looked like the area that Michael Jackson danced in within the Bad video. You know the video-they were dancing/fighting. I knew I had to get out of that parking garage or I might've seen Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Exiting the parking garage was its own thing. The exit bar is on a 45 degree incline. Hope you aren't driving a manual. I scanned the barcode on the receipt-that did not work. FYI-there is a separate receipt attachment with a barcode that needs to be scanned-not the receipt itself. Oh Safeway-what an adventure this location is.

Your cooking, baking, snacking, and partying needs can all be met here. On the side, the prepared food section even looks good. The alcohol section in the back is quite expansive. Sometimes I like to peak in to see what flavors of Eastcider or canned cocktails they have. It's usually a little different from other stores. The Asian foods section is robust, with a very wide selection of instant noodles and Buldak ramen! Even though items can be a few dollars more here, it's worth giving it a try if you need something that you cannot get to a large grocery store for. Plus, Streets is well spread out through the city.
