Fun grocery store with lots of unique food products. Very friendly and helpful staff. Tried their Mexican Salad mix, guacamole, salsa and nacho chips. All very good. Will definitely come again when back in the area. There are lots of other items that will have to taste. read more

Ok, first off this place has none of the famous 2 buck Chuck, or any wine or beer for that matter. That costs them one star, and they have a miniscule meat and produce departments, that cost them another star. The things they do have are good quality and at a good price. Sometimes I get annoyed when I want to pick up something like a bag of flour and they don't have any flour. They sell baked goods, but no baking supplies. The staff is the friendliest of any food store I've been in, so it must be kinda fun working there. My dogs are insane over the TJ canned dog food and jerky treats, it's much better quality than the supermarket varieties, in big 1 pound cans for 99 cents. It actually smells like people food, not smelly nasty dog food. I wish I actualy used the nice cloth shopping bags I bought there, but I always leave them home and wind up using the paper bags. MY BAD! Their frozen foods are unusual, and very good quality, really good coffee selections, and lots of organic and natural suppliments. It's fun to shop here and I hate shopping. read more

I love Trader Joe's and all the great stuff they stock, but this location is way too small for it's area. I mean I get why the TJ's on Boylston St is tiny, but why should the one in Hanover with plenty of space all around it be so small and cramped? It makes for a very overcrowded store with irritated customers bumping into each other in each aisle. This really would be an ideal location for wine and beer as well, but I guess that's up to the Hanover licensing board more than TJ's. Anyway, there are some very nice employees here who make up for the Barbie-goes-to-Trader-Joes sized store. Really, come on now - expand already. read more

I've been to many trader joes' throughout the country and this location is one of the worst ones. I went on a Saturday and they were out of stock of almost everything I needed (produce, tofu, etc). The lines for paying were long and the store was pretty small. The sample of the day was gross looking. I won't be back. read more

Trader Joe's gets a booooooo from me. Plus one star for having some organic shaving cream I need because Gillette makes me break out. No beer or wine here, I think MA state law limits the number of stores a chain can sell booze at. The crap they have is no better than what you find in the natural food section at Stop and Shop or Shaws. read more

Clean environment. Extremely helpful staff. Great customer service. It is small and can feel quite congested sometimes. I would avoid going on the weekends if that is at all possible. Their hummus is excellent but would stay away from the produce. read more

Overall a nice store. Everyone on the staff is really friendly. They have the essentials and lots of good stuff. But it's a very small and cramped store, with tight aisles. That's really the only negative about this store. read more

I came her expecting a little bit more. The selection is very limited as prior reviews have mentioned. However, what Trader Joe's offers is all very good and high quality. I would only go here for specialty shopping. There frozen goods and desserts is what impressed me the most. I will definitely come back to this Trader Joe's. read more

What can I say, TJ is great. One problem with Hanover location is lack of wine presence.

I've been here a few times and I love Trader Joe's! Although the few times I went here the fresh fruits and vegetables were not all that good. The store is tiny which I totally dislike. I'm not sure why people are complaining about other shoppers I never had a issue. I even once had a cute old lady teaching me about different type of breads. I could see how it gets slightly annoying since its always packed and there is no room to move but other then that there isn't to many negative things I can say about shopping here. read more

Trader Joe's has gotten a lot better with their products and nut warnings. I have been able to purchase a lot more products without nut warnings, they sell sunbutter at a great price and carry rice pasta without gluten, egg, dairy or nut warnings...such a bonus because their prices are so good. I stumbled upon their meats a while back, even though my former review I said I was not willing to try meat in a package with no butcher. I am officially eating my words. I am such a judgmental person sometimes. Their meat is to DIE FOR. Their marinades are fantastic and the cuts of meats are always deeeeelish. They stand by their products freshness and always refund a returned item no questions asked. I have purchased gluten free bread from their twice only to get it home and have it be moldy but they refunded me with an apology. I have unfortunately read that Trader Joe's has unscrupulous business values and purchase products from farms that use child/slave labor outside of this country. Because of that I have stopped going to Trader Joe's until I review it further. I still have to give them 5 stars because of my experience. If it turns out to be true then I will change my rating once again. read more

I generally like Trader Joe's and normally find their employees ok. However, today's visit was unacceptable. My daughter started to bag the groceries as she normally does since they don't have enough help working. The young, red haired female cashier finished ringing up my groceries and there was still a lot left to bag. Instead of bagging the remaining groceries, she stood there and watched my daughter bag them while I paid by debit card. Then as I picked up the bags, the cashier says to me, don't forget the cart. Seriously? Do your job sweetheart. I can shop at many other places and have better customer service. I thought Trader Joe's was known for their exemplary service but today proved that they clearly have some work to do. I will go back to Market Basket. read more

I love TJ's!!! Quirky store full of all sorts of new & interesting food finds and very reasonably priced. This is not a place to go for all your grocery needs, but is a fabulous supplement. Their private label products taste just as good as the brand competitors. The produce selection is of better quality than my local Stop & Shop and better priced the Whole Foods- but again- it's a supplement and you won't find everything that Whole Foods carries. I also love that the staff is knowledgeable about the products they carry and can help you locate different items within the store I find TJ's to be very GF friendly; they provide a list of GF products at the customer service "desk" or just ask one of the "crew members". They have a pretty good mix of GF selections, which tend to be well labeled (similar to that of the more familiar Kosher labeling of foods)- including English muffins that are only around $3-$4 and are totally edible :) I'll love sailing the culinary seas with Trader Joe's and only wish they had location closer by.... read more

Whether or not you can afford to (or will) buy all of your groceries from Trader Joe's, this place is an asset to the South Shore. The frozen foods are excellent. It can be a bit pricey, depending on what you are getting (Even the frozen seafood is great but I'd much prefer fresh fish) The Vitamins and Snacks are the best. While this place is very popular, it's too small to accommodate the rush sometimes. I would have no problem if Trader Joe's absorbed Panera Bread. read more

TJs in Hanover is alright. It's the only one I've been to so I can't compare it to other locations. The store is tiny and forget it during the middle of the day or weekends. It's not worth it. I wish they had a better selection of produce but they don't. What they do have is decent but nothing to go out of the way for. I feel like everything else sold here is wanna be healthy. I was looking at chocolate almond butter and there was a lot of filler ingredients. I much prefer good health in Hanover for the same stuff but actually healthy. read more

I LOVE this store. Its atmosphere is wonderful(and I dont mind the free samples and coffee) The cashiers and sales floor employees are extremely friendly and don't judge you. This place is pretty good, although they do have a very limited selection. Some of the pros to this place include they have very helpful staff, place is always clean, and it is the only larger health food store in the area. Some cons would include that it is usually really packed during evenings, and takes forever at the registers, and also the small variety of items they have. Overall if you are looking for a simple place to stop by after work to pick up a few health foods, I recommend this place. read more

I'm in love with this place. I can usually do 90% of my food shopping here. The prices are unreal and the Trader Joe brand stuff is pretty amazing- unburied treasure is my fav snack. You can also find a lot of healthier frozen meal options which are what I lived off of in college. Also the crew is really genuinely friendly and super helpful. read more

Trader Joe's is great. What I did notice, however, is that when they are featuring a recipe, they have all the ingredients. I went back a 2nd time to get all the ingredients for their Mediterranean Lentil Salad ...superb...couldn't get the steamed lentils...had been out a while...no single purple onions...no sign of mini-plum tomatoes...in fact there wasn't even an empty slot where they would be....no English cukes....had to go to Whole Foods for all but the steamed lentils. They only had dried ones...not the same flavor...heavier taste. Also, the store in Hanover is just too small. Would also love to see more complete meals there....like the Voila ones. read more

This is my home away from home. It's scary how much time I spend here. This location is a little small, and can get quite cramped on the weekends, but if you go at an off-time, it's fine. The staff here is so ridiculously friendly and helpful. There are a few things we get repeatedly here - the turkey meatballs, the organic tomato sauce, prepared lentils, shrimp potstickers, frozen organic brown rice...my son loves the mini whole wheat pitas, the baked pea snacks, the peanut butter cracker sandwiches, the mango yogurt...the spices, peanut butter, and cheese are all much cheaper than supermarket prices. Some of the stuff is not the healthiest, so it doesn't make it into my cart, though I sure have sampled my fair share of the not-so-healthy and it's all delicious (chocolate pb cupcakes, vanilla wafers, coffee ice cream, pb&j chocolate bar - omg, speculoos cookie butter...) If this place sold booze, I would probably have to start paying rent for the amount of time I'd be there, but then the crowds would be even more extreme, so I'm ok taking my booze-buying elsewhere. read more
