Previte's is our go-to supermarket. We are there nearly everyday…read more Pretty much everything we need is there, and we have very limited reasons to go to the large chain supermarkets around. Previte's offered to stock some of the things that would pull us away occasionally! Ron and team keep the produce on point. Routinely get deli meats, and various sandwiches. Everything is always great. Life causes a frequent need for premade foods and entrees. Calzones are awesome. Pizza is good in a pinch. Have had many premade entrees and lots of good options. Cheese, Montillio's desserts, Nona ice cream, and all the fresh meats keep us coming back. Everyone is always friendly and accommodating. Sometimes the lines get long but the staff is quick to open registers to move people along. Inside is great plenty of room for them to add more. Easy interior seating if you want to stay there and eat. Looking forward to seeing how to use the space to offer us more. Tons of local events outside, bringing local artisans and shops to the exterior. They can open an entire wall so you can walk into the produce area. All in all a great fixture in the community

He told me that he'd heard good things about the pizza here and thought we should order one, so we did. We got a mushroom pizza. It was going to take about 20 minutes to be ready so we finished up our other shopping and then went to pick it up. I am sorry to say to me the pizza had little merit. The dough was too thick too soft and underbaked. The sauce was bland. Tom liked it a bit better than I did but agreed that this pizza doesn't merit a repeat. I limit my carbs and this pizza isn't worth wasting a single one. Given that this was a trial of the pizza I will give it an overly generous 3 stars but it was more like a 2.5. I didn't want to change the star count for the store itself because essentially I am talking about just one product. So shop at the supermarket, pass on the pizza.

Now that the larger store is just steps away from my apartment building, I can run out for a couple of items and be back within 10 minutes. I do most of my shopping there, except for household items, and know that if something doesn't measure up, full refund, no questions asked. The newer store has a much broader frozen section for prepared dishes and the produce section has also been expanded with new items. They may not always be the cheapest compared to that monstrosity Market Basket, but the ease of shopping and friendly personnel make it worthwhile. And they pack my groceries like Tetris.

They definitely have their fans, one of which took home their American Chop Suey and meatball sub, and was planning to drench it with more of their tasty sauce at home, that they already had from a previous visit. I went with their large Tom Turkey Sandwich for $10.95 (Thanksgiving sandwich) and paid at the register on the other side of the room. It was large indeed, and stuffed full. The bagger an old lady, made a big deal out of my asking for paper bags and STILL used plastic around the paper. Then she refused to only give me two bags, putting the paper towels and dish washer pods into another plastic bag. She would not just merge those items into the paper bags even though I told her it was ok. Apparently she thought those items would contaminate my food! Ugh! I had to put them in myself. I will drive across town to Norwell before I go here again!
