I was complaining about one of the Meat Section Butcher whom I never seen before and I come here very often about where a certain food item where it was located he then pointed and "mumbled", something inaudible so I walked over where I think he pointed and did not see it. I went back to ask him again and he was "annoyed and abrupt" with his reply and pointed to the Turkey Balloon near the Seafood! Let me premise this by saying I told him first "I have a hard time seeing". So I never want to ever deal with this person again and he should be ashamed of himself! The Seafood Section has a helpful and kind older gentleman behind the counter he came out and helped me and I told him what transpired and his response to me was that.....that butcher had several customers asking him questions. So he must have been at his wits end! THANK YOU TO THE SEAFOOD COUNTER GENTLEMAN AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSOCIATED! They are truly an asset to this Market! Plus the many MEAT DEPARTMENT ASSOCIATES THERE WHO WORK HARD MAKING THAT DEPARTMENT FULLY STOCKED AND ORGANIZED THANK YOU! The ladies room is not handicapped accessible, furthermore, it isn't even accessible for the able-bodied. The stalls are so small that you can clasp your hands together, jut out your elbows and touch both walls with your elbows. I asked an employee how they used the toilet and she told me that they wait for the "handicapped" stall because it was the only one big enough to turn around in. Although they advertise that you can pay your electric bill there, the employees didn't know how to do it. Prices are higher than other supermarkets. One good thing is that they stay open one hour later than other Stop and Shops.

There is plenty of seating and there are also restrooms available. After we had lunch, we ended up purchasing the following from the market side: FInger Kimbap, $6.99 prior to tax- Picked up these to bring with us tomorrow on a day trip to Springfield, MA. Shrimp Tempura Kimbap, $8.99 prior to tax- Picked up these to bring with us tomorrow on a day trip to Springfield, MA. Razor Clams, $22.34 prior to tax- Rarely have we seen razor clams sold in a market (the only other one we have seen them was at a T&T Supermarket in Washington). So we decided to purchase them, even though the price did seem more expensive. We ended up purchasing a little over a pound (it was $14.99 per pound). My husband cooked them back at our Airbnb and they were delicious. Live Lobster, $13.10 prior to tax- Price for live lobster is significantly cheaper than back home in Los Angeles so we knew we had to get one (the last time we were in Boston, we dined out for Lobster over a handful of times and also did purchase them from seafood markets). Lobster was only $7.99 per pound, we got close to 2 pounds. My husband also cooked this back at our Airbnb and the meat was nice and sweet. Pink Apple, $2.51 prior to tax- Ended up only purchasing 2 apples because the quality of fruit seemed to be rather sub par. ----------------------------- (Total= $55 after tax) When we were in the seafood department, we were able to get an employee's attention to help us. But we did see this one young guy just standing there waiting to see if any one would help him. I think at these places, you have to get the attention of the employees if you want to be helped since there was no number or ticket to get for someone to call you when its your turn. Also I was greatly disappointed with the quality of produce on this visit. A lot of the fruit was rather poor quality, looking like some of the fruit was too ripe. And some of the vegetables looked old. Overall, I think our shopping experience was good, just wished the produce was better. But the prices seemed to be pretty good in general and similar to what I have seen back home at our local H Mart. If I was local to this area, I would most likely be a regular here.

I am always cognizant of when the clock will strike too because I always think if I wanna eat some food there I better get myself to Previte's Marketplace lickety split. The marketplace shares a building with a bakery that I will review separately. The marketplace and the bakery are separate businesses under separate ownership and management. There is a common area sort of like wide hallway in between the bakery and Previte's Marketplace with several tables at which patrons may sit and eat whatever they have purchased from either of these two businesses. As for Previte's Marketplace, there are typically lines of people waiting to get a fresh hot lunch that might include fresh, sliced turkey, meat, stuffing, mashed potatoes, delicious gravy, and more. over there right away. I'm focusing on this delicious Thanksgiving like spread that's available year-round because it's one of my absolute favorite things to eat at Previte's Marketplace. The marketplace has all different kinds of meat and other protein, including red meat, poultry, lamb,, pork, and veal and more. Proves marketplace has skilled butchers ready to cut the meat to your liking. Previte's Marketplace also has a multitude of prepared entrées ready for you to take home to serve to your family and friends or to bring to any social gathering. Such choices include cocktail, meatballs, and sauce, chicken, Parmesan, meat, and cheese, lasagna, and much more. They also have quiches and salads and more. Previte's Marketplace also has a full scale catering service that is available. Although I have not tried using their catering the service, I cannot imagine that the food would be any less wonderful at a catered affair than it is being carried out by oneself for lunch or dinner. By the way, there are a couple of tables just outside of the marketplace, but still inside the building in which Previte's Marketplace is housed. I frequently get my lunch there and of course, most often I get the turkey stuffing and mashed potato plate. By the way, they also make turkey stuffing and cranberry sauce submarine sandwiches. Absolutely delicious but very messy so get plenty of napkins! The only negative thing about this location is the actual location itself: it's on a very busy road with very limited parking, although there are some parking spots across the street. I enjoy getting my fruits from here & go here whenever I need stuff to make asap since it's the closest market to me. I would definitely come here more often if they were open a little later; they close at 7pm daily. And yes, the parking lot can be a bit chaotic but just park towards the back, & back in so that there's no funny business when leaving ;)
