First time coming to this Trader Joe's location and this is the first time I've ever been to a Trader Joe's location to had a separate liquor store. They had a very small selection of hard cider. The store was easy to shop around and find the items that was looking for. Staff here was very friendly and the prices here were not too bad at all I found everything that was looking for as well. The store also has a really big parking lot so it's not too hard to find parking at all. Plenty of other great options as well around the store as well. Whenever I shop at this location, the cashiers aggressively flirt with my daughter. Ask her about her age, comment on her clothing, and could care less about bagging my groceries when we are in line. Today was the 3rd or 4th time it has happened. They also do this to my wife from time to time. it also is different employees each time. I am probably just not a TJ person but I really would be happy never to return. My wife is a huge fan of their Everything Bagle Sprinkle which she sprinkles on a lot more than bagels (we rarely eat bagels). She ran out so we made a trip to TJs to resupply. My main objection to TJs is the chaos. The parking lot is crowded and it was difficult finding a place to park. Nothing is marked in aisles on the store so it is hard to find what you are looking for. Finally another customer heard us searching and pointed out the Everything Sprinkle. We bought a lot so hopefully we won't have to return for a long time. read more

I really really enjoy this grocery store. Here's a few things you should know. The prices are pretty low and the selection is really different from your average store. You won't find most of the same brands you see in Walmart or Target or Cub. They have really interesting and unique foods and honestly most of it is great. Also this location stays busy. There are always so many people inside so just be prepared for that. However, I almost never have to wait to check out, and the workers are super nice as they ring you up. One of my favorite products are the dark chocolate caramels and the dark chocolate peanut butter cups. Get the big container. Trust me. read more

Minus the parking lot this location is great! I tend to either stop here first thing in the morning on the way to work or around 530 after work. I find this location to be insanely busy 9/10 times I go. The last time I stopped in I walked right back out because the lines were insane. I can't say that's true for other locations which is why I think I go to those more frequently. If you have the time to wait and you don't mind having the scoot by people then you will be fine. For me I would rather go to another location. I do like that for the most part they have everything I need, the shelves are stocked well and there's employees floating around. Their floral section is also really nice and I love that you can create a custom arrangement for such a low cost- that's your elite tip of the week- stop buying flowers online and buy them from TJs! Anyways, is this the worst location? No. Would I rather go to another one? Most likely. read more

This Trader Joe's stays BUSY! Although I honestly feel that the parking lot situation (at every Trader Joe's) is more chaotic than the shopping experience itself. Most times I go in with no list or actually needing anything. More so to browse to see what they have that catches my attention. I mostly end up walking out with random snacks. The kombucha prices are great here, usually grab a few every visit. I like that they do seasonal items, helps to mix up my palate a bit. I generally think the prices are fair but I'm always a bit shocked when I walk out with 1 paper bag with a few items but spent $60+. Cashiers are usually super friendly. I like that at the liquor store you can buy single cans or bottles of whatever vs having to buy a whole pack when you want to try something. I love Trader Joe's. I can spend time casually looking at products that I can't get in Canada. I tend to come to Trader Joe's to get items that I can enjoy in my hotel room when I grow tired of the same breakfast items offered or need a snack. It also allows me to get some lunch items for when I'm working in my hotel room and may not have a chance to fetch lunch. I had oddly never been to this store in Bloomington until recently. It was roughly fifteen minutes by car from the hotel where I was staying. There was plenty of parking at around 7:30 pm on a Monday night. I had 1.5 hours of shopping left before the store closed, so I made the best of it. I recently learned about its flavoured sparkling water. It's so good. I've only had the raspberry. I do need to branch out and try other flavours, but I love the raspberry so much that I can't part without getting a bottle. If I could bring back succulents, I would. The selection at this store is awesome, as are the roses and other plants. I find that lemons are much cheaper here than at Hy-Vee. Same goes with celery juice compared to what you'd pay at Target. I also like getting roasted seaweed. So addictive! My usual staple is getting potstickers. Both the chicken and pork are authentic. They also heat up nicely in the microwave. I did branch out and got new items. The mushroom ravioli with sauce was excellent. I also enjoyed a bag of freeze-dried strawberries, which makes me feel like I'm an astronaut wannabe. I had an efficient older man at the cashout. He was meticulous packing everything into a paper bag. His skills were impressive. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was good. I thanked him and left with my goodies. I need to remember to drop by this location more often. I typically visit the Eagan and Rochester stores, depending on what I'm doing. This one was great. I love this place! They just have the best frozen meals for me to take to work for lunch. They have a great selection of fun foods that you wouldn't usually find at a typical grocery store. So fun to try new things. Plus I love their plant and wine selections! Such good deals on both and a great way to raise the bar on your meal enjoyment. Kudos! Love their reusable bags! I always have 2-4 in my car for when I shop here. I tend to frequent the Minnetonka and Maple Grove locations because the parking lots have so many available spaces. Traders Joe's is becoming one of my new favorites especially for thr affordability, wine choices, and desserts. I haven't bought much outside of those items to be honest at the moment but visiting other friends who do shop there and make their meals thanks to Trader Joe utilizing their social media account to showcase their other food options and the items you can buy at their store is genius and has made my friends life much easier and because of that I can say the food is good haha. Everytime I've gone into a trader Joe's the staff has always been nice, helpful, and they stay busy, and the store always looks well stocked and clean. I can say I'm not a fan of the layout of the store as that can be bit confusing for many first time shoppers as it was for me and how small the aisles are but I've figured it out along with the best times to go for me and it has continued to be a great experience thus far. Trader Joe's is my favorite local grocery store, and Bloomington isn't my usual location, but I've been there several times and really like their store. There's a big parking lot in the front, so even when it gets crazy busy as Bloomington usually does, I've never had an issue parking there. Their goods here are always so fresh and I swear I pick up something new each time I visit. I always refer to the Fearless Flyer each month to see what products they roll out, and they never disappoint. Some of my must-haves at Trader Joe's are their ginger turmeric tea, lamb vindaloo, broccolini, beautiful flowers and succulents, tortillas, and pasta imported straight from Italy. The one thing about this Trader Joe's is that the items I want are sometimes out of stock. It seems to happen more frequently here than when I visit other TJ's. It may just because Bloomington has so many people coming and going all the time, and that's understandable given where this store is located. read more

I have been going to this Trader Joe's for over a year now and it is an amazing experience each and every time. First, the parking lot is spacious and I can always find parking! All the staff are helpful, cheery, and so kind - it always brightens my mood. If you are unfamiliar with Trader Joe's - you must try their frozen foods, snacks, and basically everything! It's affordable/cheaper than other stores, high-quality and staples to your weekly groceries. With COVID - they have been very cautious with only allowing a certain number of customers to enter and shop in the store, masks are required at all times, the carts are wiped down, and employees follow social distancing. Something very special happened today. I stopped in to pick up a few things on the way home while bringing my husband home from the hospital. You see, he has advanced cancer. Karen checked me out and I mentioned how happy I was to stop in, under the circumstances (we live in Prior Lake), and my husband had to wait in the car for health reasons. She smiled and extended her caring comments. Then to my surprise she had one of the staff bring me a small bouquet of flowers "to brighten my day" as she said. I was stunned and touched. Trader Joe's is a treasure. It was crowded (too crowded) when we were there. Lots of fun food. You just have to go up and down the aisles and find the treasures. We got frozen mine croissants. I never used to be a big fan of Trader Joe's until I started shopping there a few years ago. Now I'm a loyal customer and I won't shop anywhere else. Friends will ask me "what do you all buy at TJ's"? I tell them just about everything! First off there is simple no better customer service than at TJ's. If you buy an item that isn't up to your standards just let them know. You'll receive a full refund. It's helpful if you keep your receipt but not mandatory. Staff are all so friendly and helpful too. You will no doubt find the best assortment of flowers in town here and at reasonable prices. I love shopping the fresh floral department and looking at all the plants. I usually always come home with something. I like the fact that it is a smaller store and everything is so easy to find. Having grown up with Trader Joe's in California, I waited for the day that it came to Minnesota. It did, and my next prayer was that one would open near where I live. Well, those prayers were answered with the opening of this location in Edina/Bloomington! Close enough for me to walk, I'm much more excited about Trader Joe's opening than Whole Foods. Even with that, Byerly's, Target, and Cub all within two miles of each other, I'll be making Trader Joe's one of 'usual' stops. We have been to this location over 50 times. Service is always great and friendly. They are usually sampling a drink and a food item. The funniest was when it was their Pomegranate juice. My Down's Syndrome brother tried it and said YUK really loud. The people around us dumped theirs in the garbage. He was right - it was YUK. I couldn't stop laughing. Their food items are great. Especially the frozen croissants, chocolate covered almonds, cheeses, pancetta, sparkling grape juice, Mandarin chicken ... Too many to list. They also have a nice flower selection. This time of year I like the wax dipped bulbs. They grow amazingly well. Even I cannot kill them. Just stay away from the Pomegranate juice. read more

Customer Service Sucks. Make sure you keep your receipts for everything you buy because they do not accept returns without it. They will tell you they do not sell the product and you never bought it there. I have not been back to the Bloomington Minnesota store. No empowerment. Poor customer service. read more

I go to this location when I'm in Bloomington after picking up The Boy. The only thing I hate about this place is the parking lot. It's like going to WF just up the road, with people who don't pay attention (both in cars and on foot). The service here is always friendly and efficient. We buy a lot of the name brands and are happy with them. Just don't go to this store when you're hungry or thirsty because it's immediately reflected in what's in your basket. They have one of my all-time favorite beverages here: CARROT JUICE!!!!!!! I love carrot juice. It's even better when you mix it with coconut water (both organic, of course). They do need to make this in much larger containers. I have to buy at least two of the containers because one is gone long before I'm back on the highway heading home. I've drunk an entire container before leaving the parking lot. My Boy and I enjoy the Green Juice and the Root Beer, along with the Ginger Soda. Their version of Ginger Ale makes you sneeze and burp really loudly. Well, at least, this is the effect it has on us. I could have used it during burping contests in middle school, though room-temperature sarsaparilla does the trick, too. The prices here are fair, even for the organic items. I do wish that they carried garlic from California. I try to not buy any food items from other countries, and California is known for its garlic, so I don't understand not being able to find it in stores (just remembered to visit the co-op). When I spend a lot of money here, it looks like it from the number of bags with which I'm leaving. We haven't ever returned anything, though I try to stay away from their Korean-style Kalbi Ribs. Not because they're bad. It's because they're too good to share and I've actually eaten them before the family got home and had to make something else for dinner. I want some now, darn it! read more

I was at this store around lunchtime today. There had been a spill of some sort (possibly vomit?) at the checkout line I was standing in. A store employee came over to clean it up but I have never seen anyone as ignorant as this woman. After using a mop, she was cleaning up with paper towels, while holding on to my cart, and contaminating my cart and its contents with whatever she had on her hands and paper towels. I asked her repeatedly to not touch my cart but she kept right on doing it. At some point she started handling my grocery items to help the clerk out. I had to wash all of my items when I got home. I will probably not shop there again. Their employees apparently have no training in food safety whatsoever, and no concern for their customers. read more

This Trader Joe's was totally disappointing. First of all it's really small second of all a lot of the shelves were empty. Third the clerks were just plain rude. They were stacking the shelves but they were so busy yacking to each other. And then it's like you couldn't even get to the shelves cuz they didn't even move when you were standing there trying to reach something. I've never been to a Trader Joe's where the clerks in the store didn't even say hello or try to help. I got like two things and I was out of there because it just wasn't even worth the trip there. So glad there's a TJ near my friend's house, as it's always a pit stop for snacks and beer (the alcohol is a separate entrance and payment) every time I visit her. Man o man do I wish they would offer grocery deliver because my favorite food ideas are from TJ's (I know they have taken a stance on why they don't, but still). This specific location is great because they are taking COVID protocols very seriously. While some people in line waiting to get in seem frustrated they have to wait outside, I really appreciate the effort TJ's is putting in to keep customers and their staff safe. Also, if something is out on the shelf, they will always go check the back for you with a smile and tell you when they think it will be in if it is currently out of stock. I love TJ's and tend to frequent them when I travel - they're a great place to pick up a healthy meal or snack, some supplies for a lunch and learn or just some cheap wine after a hard day. One thing that seems to be constant across the US is the super friendly staffers, and this location is no exception. I just needed a few things, so I was happy to see that this location was well laid out with bigger aisles than I've seen elsewhere. Who doesn't love Trader Joe's. This one ranks fairly high on my Twin Cities options since it only has a semi horrible parking lot that it shares with Total Wine (that's a plus) and is close to one of my favorite hockey stores (Pure Hockey). This location is fairly spacious with a decent check out arrangement and all of the usual, addictive TJ stuff. One of our current favorites is the amazing Spiced Cider. When I go here I stick by this line, "one of each please!" I absolutely love and adore this store for its pricing. Great quality product and such low rates!
