Prices did seem a bit more than other stores but not too bad for the convenience. I'd say my issue is with the check out. They have 5-6 cashier lanes and 4 self checkouts. Only 1 cashier available + a bagger. The bagger was having a conversation with the customer and carried on a bit long and couldn't seem to talk & bag at the same time. I ended up going over to self checkout which also took awhile but when I finally got up to one I realized it's because the system is just extremely slow. I was able to wait and checkout before they were done helping that same 1 customer. I get being friendly and providing customer service but it's to a point you need to considerate that a line is forming and people are waiting & some with perishables. I also don't care to converse about the items i'm buying so the bagger being so chatty would have gave me anxiety.

This is an "after" picture of the steak. Of the 16 oz, only about 1 oz had edible meat...the rest was medium rare shoe leather, hence the masticated flotsam left on my plate in he picture. I'm sure they would say I cooked it wrong, but I worked my way thru college as an assistant chef at a famous NYC steak house so I know how to cook meat. Will never buy any meat there again. Besides the meat, the store is fine but a bit over priced as others have said, and the staff is very nice, and I will continue to shop from time to time for convenience as its only 5 minutes away from home. Anytime that I am in the neighborhood, or anywhere within a 10-15 minute radius, I make a point to stop here to grab food from their kitchen. The food is always plentiful and extremely delicious no matter what you get. My personal favorite is the 'chicken rice' but they have burgers, fries, gyros, kabobs etc. You will be surprised how amazing the food actually tastes. Only thing I wish about them is that their kitchen would be open on the weekends also, but I guess that's understandable since as I mentioned above, it's a small family run business.

Their vegetables and food items are a little pricier in compares to other store in the community. I like their pho section because they have all the stuffs you need right there for making pho. The deli is good, and they do cater. They're reasonable, generous in the portion of the orders. Girls are good and I heard that their fried chickens are also good but I haven't tried yet. While we didn't interact with any employees (self check out) I noticed there were a lot of them. I'll definitely be back when I have more time and I'm actually looking to buy groceries. I could see this becoming a regular stop on the way home if our grocery delivery forgot something. I recommend checking it out and if you have time stop and eat in the cafe- that's what will get you in the door! Plus, I can't think of a better way to grocery shop than filling up on Scandinavian pancakes beforehand.

They have a really nice layout. Also, there is a fully stock (and might I say awesome) olive bar that is right up in the front area and I definitely stocked up. They have everything you could want and dream of in a grocery store, they have great meat selection and also everything is fresh and clean. I like how they have upper end options for things but also lower end options if that is what you are in to.. just love the options. There is self checkout that is nice and I appreciate being able to check yourself out when you aren't always feeling like human interaction. I live so close to here so definitely will be back!

They had a very small selection of hard cider. The store was easy to shop around and find the items that was looking for. Staff here was very friendly and the prices here were not too bad at all I found everything that was looking for as well. LOVE love SUMO ORANGES - - my most favorite of all fruit. We lived last 5 years in Florida ( moved back to MN in January) and had incredible fruit / became enamored especially with the deep especially juicy rich flavor of the Sumo orange. There's nothing like them. Now can't eat other oranges- - nothing compares, highly addictive! Amazing with bananas and sweet pineapple cut up and eaten with 4 % milk fat cottage cheese with a generous teaspoon of mayo on top of the cottage cheese. Amazing! Fresh fruit and fresh veggies provide our bodies with the VERY best nutrients and vitamins of all other food groups. Steaming not boiling veggies also preserve the highest level of vitamins. ( Dad was a Prof of Biochemistry at a med school.). We are basically what we eat. Fresh meat fresh chicken fresh seafood cooked at home are the most nutritious way of eating . Vitamin A found in the greatest level in fresh apricots and beet green tops helps fight and prevent cancer. Lunds is a gorgeous store but way way too expensive for me. Target is a great option for super low prices but stock/ variety are VERY limited and fruits veggies are extremely limited/ manhandled a lot by customers. Flavor is lacking in potatoes yams and in a lot of Targets fruit which is picked when green. Target runs after the cheapest resource. Their quality is not great. Then CLEANLINESS is essential to me. HyVee aces this. I love the WIDE spacious aisles, the extremely high ceilings and non glaring softer lighting. Thus you have a calmer more relaxed ambiance - - rare today in grocery stores. I come EVERY week here. Their daily sales on beef chicken and pork in special cases, some seasoned thus ready to cook, are excellent FRESH QUALITY! GREAT SALE PRICES too. Their homemade giant variety of FRESH BRATS are pure heaven - - cheddar and original are my FAVORITES! Their " drug store". Cosmetics Liquor store and kitchen dining products are beautiful with a wonderful selection. GIANT selection of tiny hand held liquor bottles at $.99 each too! ENJOY!!!!!!
