Aside from that, this appears to be a higher end store with a lot of healthy food options. It's expensive but when has eating healthy not been expensive? Whole Paycheck (aka Whole Foods) is always robbing me when I buy purple potatoes and ground bison, to name a few. But Lunds & Byerlys was my go to for eggs, synergy, bagels, cookies and other snacks when I was in Plymouth. The self checkout cashiers were always near lol but friendly. Seemed like they trying to catch someone pilfering. Baby, I'm not going to jail or hell for stealing a cookie. Nah, not today satan. Overall, I loved shopping here and it's a good thing they're in Minnesota because I'd be shooting up Ozempic weekly just to eat their cookies.

I grew up here in Minnetonka. It shouldn't matter where someone's from or what they look like to get fair and equal treatment. The old guy follows me from the moment I enter to the moment I purchase knowing I get the same thing every time. I don't look around or stay in fear I might get harassed more than I already do. It's really unfortunate that they profile you based on the color of the skin or how you look. I used to really like living in Minnetonka but the same attitude and actions prove to be the same time. and time again. The silent racism is very loud. Ive stopped going and will not return. I used to come here daily so im surprised I got the very same harassment EVERY SINGLE TIME I have entered this store. I have shared how I felt with those closest to me and they have seen it happen in real time. I've chosen a different store to shop from and will continue to share with my friends and family NOT to give them business. I also have friends who have experienced the same. That said, they seem to have all the usual TJ items you see at all the locations. I went there for some veggies, some kids snacks, and a couple other things, and was able to find them all. The staff was really nice and chatted up my son at the checkout and gave him some stickers. The one tough spot here is the parking. The lot is both tiny and very tight. It is hard to get around if you are there after work or on a Saturday. There is additional parking nearby, but you may have to spend extra time looking and then walking over.

Prices did seem a bit more than other stores but not too bad for the convenience. I'd say my issue is with the check out. They have 5-6 cashier lanes and 4 self checkouts. Only 1 cashier available + a bagger. The bagger was having a conversation with the customer and carried on a bit long and couldn't seem to talk & bag at the same time. I ended up going over to self checkout which also took awhile but when I finally got up to one I realized it's because the system is just extremely slow. I was able to wait and checkout before they were done helping that same 1 customer. I get being friendly and providing customer service but it's to a point you need to considerate that a line is forming and people are waiting & some with perishables. I also don't care to converse about the items i'm buying so the bagger being so chatty would have gave me anxiety.

This is an "after" picture of the steak. Of the 16 oz, only about 1 oz had edible meat...the rest was medium rare shoe leather, hence the masticated flotsam left on my plate in he picture. Honestly it felt like a slightly more affordable Lunds- same kind of set up and not overly huge like a Cub or Hyvee. I saw a couple of flavors of items I don't see at my normal grocery store which was nice. We ended up getting sparkling water that we had never seen before. While we didn't interact with any employees (self check out) I noticed there were a lot of them. I'll definitely be back when I have more time and I'm actually looking to buy groceries. I could see this becoming a regular stop on the way home if our grocery delivery forgot something. I recommend checking it out and if you have time stop and eat in the cafe- that's what will get you in the door! Plus, I can't think of a better way to grocery shop than filling up on Scandinavian pancakes beforehand.

They have a really nice layout. Also, there is a fully stock (and might I say awesome) olive bar that is right up in the front area and I definitely stocked up. They have everything you could want and dream of in a grocery store, they have great meat selection and also everything is fresh and clean. I like how they have upper end options for things but also lower end options if that is what you are in to.. just love the options. They had some deals going on but a lot of their beverages and snacks for a bit of a price for me. They had a hot food bar which is pretty neat which has plenty of great options and great vegan selections as well for those that are particular. Staff here was friendly and kind throughout my visit. The plaza that the grocery store is placed in Can be a bit of a challenge to find parking at times. Overall, I wasn't too impressed with my visit though I wouldn't mind coming back for a casual visit.

I truly applaud what they've built. Now Kowalski's are all over the place. However. They are by far the most expensive grocery store in the Twin Cities. If that doesn't bother you then this is your place. The ambience is wonderful. The stores are beautiful. They have a Starbucks counter inside if you like coffee. They have quite a large deli. You can get an entire meal ready to go. I've tried these and they are quite nice. And they're not horribly priced. They have a large assortment of specialty items from pastries to candy to Kowalski branded just about anything. The service is spotty. Sometimes it's good and sometimes not so good. Sometimes you can stand at The deli counter for what seems forever while people go back-and-forth ignoring you. Other times they're very helpful. The parking lot is not very big compared to other stores so parking can be a problem. It just depends what time of day you go. They have an attached but separate liquor store for wines and spirits. It is a very nice shopping experience and they do have a lot of wonderful specialty items you won't find anywhere else. However, be prepared to pay the price. They've been around for something like 50 years so they must be doing something right.
