I love the selection and pricing. Staff is helpful and shelves are well stocked and clean. Biggest drawback for aging customers is lack of motorized shopping carts. Today I had to wait for one over a half an hour. I've been shopping there since they opened and had a dozen or more carts. Today four. Poor strategy and marketing. If this isn't corrected good and , I'll need to take my business elsewhere. I know I'm not alone with this challenge. Carts are essential to aging and disabled individuals. read more

Im starting to like Hyvee stores. I bought this cool alien candy at Lakeville store. To my surprise they have 2 other colors or flavors of the aliens here. There was also a 99 cent sale and I bought raspberries and carrots. I asked an employee if they price match and the answer was yes! There was a facebook ad for Bubbler at cub for 5.89. I showed cashier the ad and said Clifton, said it was OK. This was nice as I didn't need to make another stop. I also found a delicious watermelon. My first of the year. It was from Florida. They also bag your groceries here. Im kinda liking Hyvee better than Cub. Maybe I will make special trips to shop here. read more

I love this location! Being new to the state I have tried out the various grocery stores but I ended up getting the Hy-Vee perks rewards card because I enjoyed coming here so much. The employees are helpful with any questions and they basically have everything you can possibly think of. They just recently added a new section to the store that is specific to baby needs and I loveee this being a new mom! All baby basic items from medicine, to baby food, to cups, utensils, teeters, you name it they got it. The bakery is always stocked with donuts, cakes, and goodies which is hard to resist. It is also right across from the in-store Starbucks which is hard for me to pass up haha. I love the ready to eat options that they have there and the different sections you can order food such as sushi, stir fry, pizza, chicken, and deli. The store is very organized and clean! I haven't been here since 2019! they are doing a mini remodel they moved Speciality Cheese and charcutrie over to next to Long Island Deli next to food service area They have lots to offer! I hate to go from 5 stars to 1 star on an update but this would have been a deteriorating set of reviews if I had done them more frequently. There have been deteriorating service issues at this location through the past year and a half. From going to a majority of self check lanes (eliminating both the cashiering and the bagging - one of the primary reasons that I go there) to a decrease in service attitudes all over the store, to constant pallets of product blocking the isles while they are open to incompetence in order ahead shopping (things like not including the meats from the list, grabbing simply incorrect items). Sadly, I hit the last straw with the holiday meal order. I placed (and paid 150.00 for) my order of a large prime rib dinner for 8 two weeks ahead of time with the idea of being able to relax and not having to worry about food this Christmas. When I went at my assigned pickup time to the savage Hy-Vee, I was told to come back twice because the other (placed a full two weeks prior) wasn't done. Finally my order arrived - 25 minutes after the end of the pickup window. The woman who was giving them out checked it over to make sure that it was complete. I took the box with the order in it from the refrigerator today to heat up the meal for my family. It would have been nifty if the two sides of the mashed potatoes hadn't been forgotten in the box. I ended up paying 150.00 for a little prime rib, Mac and cheese and some deli broccoli salad. And nowhere open to get the remainder of the meal. Thanks a lot Hy-Vee! Merry Christmas to you too. Fortunately an Italian restaurant was open and I was able to place a carry out order for 7 pm from there (after the family had planned to eat at 4 pm). This really is the last straw. As a father of 7 kids and the primary shopper four out household - spending between 250 - 400 a week for the past few years on groceries with Hy-Vee, this is the thing that is going to bring me back to byerlys for shopping. Where they will actually check me out, bag my groceries and give me the food I pay for. Hy-Vee was great in concept and originally excellent in execution, but it has really hit the skids lately. Ordered Thanskgiving meal all catered with extra sides and it was all delicious. I could make an appointment for pick up 11am-2pm. It was orderly inside with a long line but I was out in 10 minutes They get your name; have it brought up, verify your purchase and off we went. Just warm it up and cook off Turkey in about 2.5 hours. Great mashed, augratin, green bean casserole, gravy was excellent, mac and chees, butterflake rolls, dressing was tasty and hardly any seasoning was required. I will not be cooking Thanksgiving again on a visit there and my daughter works so much. We put it all in food warmers after it was hot- said grace and everyone got their own plate. Kudos to staff at HyVee in Savage today. We had a medical emergency at the checkout and the response by the cashier, the manager on duty, and other HyVee employees was amazing. One of the staff did call the police and I had them call for an ambulance. They brought water and an ice compress as well as a chair to sit on. I just couldn't be more appreciative and thankful for the care and compassion shown to me and my daughter. Thank you, Savage HyVee for hiring the most kind and caring people. read more

I love me some Hy Vee. I have been to a few of the Twin Cities locations but this review is for the Savage location. I do not live near any Hy Vees and I do find their prices a bit on a high side so I have never completed my every day grocery shopping there. What I have completed is spending loads of money on homemade guac, pre made meals, banana breads and bakery goodies. They offer a wide variety of hot food stations: Asian, Mexican, sushi and more. Large salad and olive bar and live lobsters. One time as I was caught drooling over the fresh baked breads a kind staff member offered me a sample of several of them. They definitely know how to help you empty your wallet! But seriously, the customer service has been spot on every trip I have made there. As mentioned before, prices are a tad on the higher side so buy your boring stuff at Aldi and Cub and take what you have left in the budget and blow it on mini cheesecakes and bulk candy at Hy Vee! They even have a cute pet section and clothes and a large health and beauty department! read more

Best. Grocery Store. Ever. I worked at a grocery store throughout my high school and college years. So I KNOW grocery stores, nah mean. I love my Whole Foods, Wegmans, Market Baskets, Roche Brothers but they have nothing on Hy-Vee. This place has a food court incase you are hangry while shopping. The beauty department is almost like an Ulta with mass and prestige brands. They even have a clothing department! Mind blown. read more

Very fresh grocery and deli megastore. I actually watched as a manager at 5am walked around the produce area picking any item not looking as perfect and fresh as it should. She filled a cart and took all inside. The staff are very friendly and are always within a glance distance if you need any help. The bakery is continuously bringing out fresh products while the pastries prep and display some of the best varieties (a bit pricey though). Meats and seafood are so well stocked it makes you wonder if the farms are on the premises. Their store brand dairy, dry foods, and frozen selections are made from very high quality ingredients and make the trip to the store affordable. Then there are the counter service eateries. They are a world on their own. Combined with the Market Grill these alone are worth the visit. The grill offers a buffet that allows the guests to get whatever you want from the stands. They are also always having a special going on. March had them offering all you can eat chicken wings for $10 to celebrate March Madness. read more

So disappointed! I love HyVee in Wisconsin and South Dakota. I don't know what is wrong at the Savage stores. I need to always check Expiration dates because there are so many items that are expired. We bought HyVee name steak and when my husband opened the package it smelled horrible! It was expired he forgot to check the dates. The other one he bought wasn't yet expired but smelled awful also. This Savage store is across from the Savage's Lifetime fitness center. It is one of the newest and beautiful grocery store in the twin city in my humble opinion. It has the following good 'bars'/specialties: * Asian food bar * Salad bar * Smoothie * Preserved Meats/Deli's * Standard American hot bar (Fried Chicken, Mac & cheese, etc) * Fresh Seafood * Fresh Bake Goods * The Cake & Donuts Area is a must see! There are so many things here. Come on in and check it out... I think I spend over 2~3 hours just to check out everything. My only disappointment is their restaurant...Another review in itself. This store is only a few miles from my house and I could either go to cub or hyvee, but choose hyvee. The staff is usually very pleasant and somewhat knowledgeable. I know I will be paying a little bit more but I believe you pay for what you get and if you are smart they have lots of good deals weekly in all of their departments. I love going into their restaurant on tuesday nights it is a free kids buffet with purchase of an adult meal. My son loves it and I get a good meal and its quick and easy! read more

Awesome grocery store with a massive selection. Almost too massive though. My first trip in was overwhelming and I forgot a lot of stuff. I definitely suggest coming with a list and be prepared to walk back and forth your first few times until you get the layout. Hence the four stars instead of five. The bath store is pretty cool but the Soaps and scrubs are really expensive. Bath bombs are a decent price. Customer service is awesome. Employees seem genuinely happy to be there and are helpful if you need something. This has become my new go to grocery store for sure! read more

Of all the grocery stores I go to, this store, Savage Hy-Vee has had the worst "Violations" of common sense and food safety. I have found a dead mouse in the parsley, watched the meat dept. clean the case while leaving all the meat, ground, etc. un-protected sitting on the counter (not cooled or covered) and today at the DelI, the person getting meat used his glove to clean the counter and scale before getting my sandwich meat. All around unsafe and a sign of serious management/leadership issues . Do Better! read more

My experience today at this Hyvee was a bit off putting. Normally you walk into a Hyvee and employees are friendly, or at least neutral towards people. Today I went in to grab a quick couple things and grab some hy-chi for dinner. I found everything I needed and checked out in self checkout. No issue. Then I went over to grab dinner and it all went downhill from there. The person handling the asian food orders was unfriendly and when I noticed there wasn't a cash register by the food, I politely asked whether I should go to the kiosk near the front to pay or somewhere else. Instead of responding with words, he looked annoyed and pointed vaguely towards the middle of the store. I figured he meant in normal checkout, so I tried self checkout again, but there wasn't an option to pay on self checkout. I then waited in a normal line for help from a cashier. No problem. I have time. When I got to the register, the person was super grumpy, was actively unfriendly, and gave me a look like she wished I'd never entered the store. It was incredibly off putting because I've never experienced this level of distain for customers in really any store before much less a Hyvee. I love Hyvee, but will probably just avoid this location in the future. I get it's a crazy day, and anyone can have an off day, but... it was less busy than I normally see Hyvee's at this time on a Friday, and with the unfriendliness coming from multiple employees? I'll stick to locations that are more inline from what I would expect from a Hyvee. Two stars instead of one is because the store was decently clean and the food was good. read more

I would rate the online grocery pick up a zero out of five if I could we waited there for door dash for over an hour they were running late very low staffed and I'm going to get dinged because of it. It was the savage one in Minnesota but I'm guessing they are all runner the same , they won't do anything about it. 100 times better than cub foods. I used to shop at Hyvee back in Illinois and this one is even better. Their meat department is a little smaller than I'm used to but still has amazing quality. This store is new and very modern with lots of nice extras like the pastry and bagel area. The market grille was awful. We got there at 5:15. It took forever for us to get our food, we ordered the endless wings which was the special for the night. By the time we finally got our food, our waiter brought me wings with the wrong sauce. I told him I had ordered BBQ sauce, he went to go put in the order. 15 minutes later, he finally comes back to the table and says "oh you haven't gotten your wings yet?" Nope...nothing. Another 10 minutes later he FINALLY brings me my order. Two others who came with put in their second order for wings when I got my first. Finally at 7:00 we decided to stop waiting. We couldn't even get two orders of wings in almost 2 hours. We asked the waiter about it and he just responded with "the kitchen is backed up" - he didn't apologize for the wait or his lack of attention. I would have been more ok with this if he was communicating with our table instead of ignoring us. Whats most frustrating is I got the endless wings with intentions of getting two orders - thinking this could happen in a timely fashion. I would NOT have ordered that if I knew it would take 2 hours. Will NEVER go here again, at least at the Savage location. read more
