I recently visited this store since I was in the area and i enjoy visiting the stores while I'm back home so I'm familiar with the layout and what the store offers. Their clearance section was absolutely phenomenal! They had syrup that was marked at $20 and they are selling it for $2! Great selection of healthy options and grab and go options too. The sushi is always worth the price especially on Wednesdays. The store was pretty busy but that's because there was a lot of deals going on as well. Great location off of Highway 13 in a mini strip mall and parking. We love some of their healthy products that are low carb. Layed out well, great breads and fresh meats along with produce, specialty items in all departments as well as vitamins and body care. Use the app to find deals and check out with. The meat, especially the fish, looked like they were at the end of days. The produce appeared fresh great selection of "health food" items and alternatives. Cute Knick knacks. Poor customer service. Cashier Benjamin with the bad beard was rude, dismissive and could be heard speaking poorly of customers. read more

I am not a fan of self check out and when I was ready to check out, there wasn't a cashier to help. So I became an unpaid employee and tried to check myself out. I unfortunately had produce and made a mistake and the machine told me I needed an assistant. I waited and waited and finally had to go find someone to help. I would have walked out if I just hadn't spent 30 min shopping. I will not be returning to Fresh Thyme until they start paying their unpaid employees, or having well paid cashiers to do the job. read more

Really good seemingly fresh produce at good prices. Meat department is a bit of a train wreck - they need employees there the whole time they are open who actually know about meat and the meat department. Overall, a good place to get organic food and decent produce. read more

I have spent a lot of money here every week, for years. Today was my last visit like that. They have installed self checkout as the only way to check out. I am coming in with two young children. I am now responsible to ring up my own groceries, bag them (without much room to do so at all!), watch and make sure my young kids don't ring things up 4 times, or deal with them throwing a fit because I won't let them help me "doop" the groceries. All with a FULL grocery cart!? No way. There isn't even room for more than 1 bag on the bagging area. I had to put full bags into the cart that still was half full of groceries. Worst set up ever. Very poor decision upon management. read more

Fresh Thyme Farmers Market is basically Sprouts from the west coast. And for those Minnesotans unsure of what that means, it falls somewhere in between Trade Joe's and Whole Foods. My take: ***** PRODUCE: Even though they don't have rare produce like lemon grass, Chinese broccoli, etc... for American goods it's pretty awesome (and affordable). Their organic section, though, is lacking a bit. MEATS & SEAFOOD: They have everything from rib eye to rump roast. Lots of their meats, too, are from Texas and include grass fed cows. Not so many beef producers in the Midwest that I saw. OTHER TIDBITS: I was only in there for about half an hour during the Thanksgiving madness, but here are a few other observations: - Incredibly clean: Considering the number of people that go in and out of that store, it's practically spotless. - Well organized: Gigantic letters demarcating sections of the store certainly help patrons roam around, instead of those numerical aisles with long hallways that take forever to find stuff. The lettering feels less stale, too. (Haha.) - Technology friendly: Yo, they accept Apple Pay! My brother paid for the groceries on his watch. I guess 2016 ain't all that bad. (Or did that come out last year?) - Wonderful staff: Very friendly. No fuss here. OVERALL: I think Fresh Thyme, despite it's pun (which I sort of love but cringe at), is a great grocery store. My second time at the store. Went to pick up a lunch. Staff is friendly. I had to wait for 9 minutes in line to check out my lunch, one item. My wait would have been longer if someone had not let me in front of them. There was only three registers open. No express lane. The lines were long, no attempt from the manager to open more registers. read more

Checkout wait is too long and never enough open lanes when busy. Some checkers are slow!! And they don't respond or recognize that people are waiting too long. I occasionally go in for a few things because it's closer to home than Whole Foods. Prices are ok but not as good as Target or Trader Joe's. read more

I'm super excited to have another option in this area of town. The customer service has been excellent the 3 times I've been there. Their bakery and fresh vegetables are outstanding. I've been disappointed by their meat selection two times. The first time I just wanted 3 plain steaks. All were marinated or specialty steaks (think "Miso glazed Teriyaki Ginger Strip Steak" or similar) so we passed. The second time I could only find 83% fat ground beef. Although they tried to find something leaner, the staff seemed to feel that since it was grass fed it should be fine. I've stopped going to Fresh Thyme if I need any type of meat. The last 2 times I've gotten fresh fruit they've all been rotten. Like, all. My son cut into an apple and it was brown and rotten on the inside. My daughter cut into another from the same batch and it was the same. The peaches were rotten the day after I brought them home. I love their options for canned vegetables and bulk foods. and their prices are really low, which is awesome - much cheaper than Target or Cub that are next door. My boyfriend really likes their holistic wellness area and says their probiotics selection is fantastic. So, there is a lot to love and a lot to be worked out, but I'm not giving up yet. :) read more

When it was opened it was great. A few years go by and the produce has turned to horrible, the meat department often doesn't have what's advertised or even a butcher on hand to cut for you. The way too young staff has absolute no clue of celery to cardamom. It's nothing special anymore and is very disgusting inside. Clean it up and hire some staff. A butcher after 5 on a holiday week would be a great start. read more

Can't say enough about this market in a sea of big box blah. They're like Trader Joe's, but better. They carry mostly their own brand of food, lots of organic options, and prices do not seem outrageous. I love their brand of kombucha, the natural and beauty section, and the bulk products.This is a saving grace way out in 'burbs. read more

I'm very disappointed in the manager at the Savage MN location. I had my wallet go missing back on 3/8 between Walgreens & Fresh Thyme. Walgreens helped me & viewed their surveillance cameras that night. When I talked to the manager working that night at Fresh Thyme she was willing to watch the video until she made a call to her boss who told her it couldn't be viewed until the morning & he would view it right away & then call me back after that. After calling 2X & having the manager give me a time frame each time I called it hasn't been done yet! Now it's 3/26 & Im STILL waiting for him to follow through....GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! read more

Stopped in during the grand opening weekend. Applewood smoked, thick-cut bacon for $2.99/lb is a awesome deal. Not as big as the Whole Foods in Edina, but this is a nice addition to the southwestern metro area. Have since stopped in twice to pick up more bacon (I kid you not)! Produce looks awesome here. Meat counter is well stocked with esoteric and interesting meats and sausages. Great service and checkout is a great experience. POS systems use NFC, so Apple Pay works fine. read more

This one needs to make some serious improvements. I stopped by last week. One thing I wanted to buy was their containers of whole dates, which they've kept over in the area where the containers of cut up fruit are located. There were none, but spotting an employee nearby, I asked if there were any to be had. Then I continued my shopping. Just after I had finished paying for my groceries, the employee I'd spoken to earlier stopped by to inform me there were containers of dates out now if I wanted them. Gee, too late. And as if that wasn't bad enough, the package of chicken I bought (half chicken) was supposed to be good until 2/22. When I opened the package on 2/20 to cook it, it reeked something awful so I had to throw it out. That's two strikes, but they're officially out! I won't shop there again. read more

First time in store today and not a good experience. I love the organic choices but checking out was awful. It was 12 noon and 2 cashiers. People 5 - 6 deep in both lines. My clerk rang up the guy in front of me wrong so had to refund and redo his food... The other clerk did not know how to VOID a transaction so needed help from the gal I was in waiting for in line. read more
