Great staff, prices and fantastic groceries! It boggles my mind why more people do not give this store a chance!

It's not much in the way of hiking, as the longest path/loop is only a mile long and fully paved with asphalt, but it's got a lot of amenities that would make for an excellent visit during warmer months. This includes a kid's playground, an extensive fitness zone, a splash pad (with toilets and water fountain-- not operating during winter), a bandshell, and a sizable festival grounds. On the other end of the park (near Pilot Knob) there's a gazebo structure with more seasonal restrooms/water fountain, with a multitude of picnic tables, trash/recycling, and grills that would be excellent for outdoor get-togethers. There is parking at both this location and by the splash pad, as well as the massive lot attached to the community center. There's a couple small lakes and plenty of trees, so it's a nice little retreat (even if right across the street is a massive outdoor shopping center...).

Now, they like to work out at the Core Valley area (we call it Ninja Warrior Park), while I walk the lovely trails around the pond area. The band shell has some free performances sometimes. My fav feature is the cute gazebo and bridge next to the pond. A very well thought out park for so many uses, including art fairs, food truck fairs, a weekly farmer's market and even a huge July 4th celebration. The Eagan Community Center building is conveniently located the middle of the park.

I have been eyeing visiting this Nautical Bowls location in Eagan for a while. Last year, a Yelp…read moreexperience had me visit the location in Edina. I knew that I would enjoy a smoothie bowl here. This location is in a plaza. It's a few doors down from Papa John's, where I often get pizza the day after the Minnesota Wild win a game. I like 50% off large pizzas. There is plenty of parking at this plaza. I came here last month to pick up a pizza. I parked in front of Papa John's, but I was early for my pizza pickup. Instead, I killed some time heading over to this Nautical Bowls. It was surprisingly busy on an early Wednesday evening when I walked in. There was one customer ahead of me, which allowed me to take some time looking at the menu. The man behind the counter took one look at my Marc-André Fleury t- shirt that I was wearing, commemorating his 1000th game, with my Minnesota Wild front-zip hoodie over it, and commented on how he liked my outfit. It's good when you find a fellow hockey fan. It's even better when he's a Wild fan. I like that the bowls here are plant-based, gluten-free, and dairy-free. It's nice keeping things simple. I got the sunrise bowl. It had blue majik, pitaya, granola, banana, strawberries, and honey. I got the cruiser size, which was 16 ounces. I paid with a credit card. Bowls are on the pricier side compared to my usual smoothie bowl place, Bliss Acai. However, it's so much closer when I'm staying in either Bloomington or Eagan to get here. I paid with a credit card. Done! He went ahead with preparing my bowl. I took photos and looked around as I waited. I ended up signing up for loyalty rewards. I look forward to getting a free bowl someday. Goals! The man and I had a good chat about the Wild. He asked me about the "new Russian." No one can say his last name. It has more letters than my full name! His first name is Marat. It's much easier to say. He can win faceoffs and skates well. He agreed with me. We both didn't think that the Wild would make the playoffs. Sadly, we were right. There's always next year. He handed me my sunrise bowl. It looked yummy and pretty. I wished him a good evening, took a photo of my smoothie bowl, and headed to my vehicle. I dropped off my bowl and hit Papa John's to pick up dinner. I got to my hotel room and placed my smoothie bowl in the freezer while I had some pizza. I had my bowl for dessert. It was yummy and hit the spot. I love fruit. The banana and strawberry slices were so fresh. The blue majik as the smoothie base was refreshing and creamy. The granola and pitaya (dragon fruit) provided textures that made this bowl enjoyable to devour. I'd get it again. I had a wonderful experience. If you want a refreshing, healthier dessert option, get a bowl from Nautical Bowls. (159)

It allowed me to take a look at the other businesses in this plaza as I waited. Two doors down from it is North Country Nutrition (NCN). I wondered whether it was similar to Zeev's Nutrition Studio that I typically go to in Toronto. Sure enough, I did some research online while killing time at the drive-thru, and it had healthy shakes and drinks. Cool! On Saturday morning, I decided to check out NCN. I found a parking spot steps away from the store and backed into it. I was the only customer at the store at around 10 am. The woman, who later introduced herself as Liz, was so friendly and warm. I loved the cozy vibes that this place had, from the couch with cute pillows and other Christmas decorations, to the northern vibes that you feel with canoe paddles and loons. We both ended up sharing where we are from. She's originally from Alexandria, which is roughly a 2.5-hour drive north of the Twin Cities. I indicated that I knew where it was when I used to drive between Rochester and Winnipeg. I cut through it. She loved that I knew where she grew up. The coziness comes from living by water, which shows. She was great explaining her shakes and teas. I am a tea person. I saw watermelon Jolly Rancher as a cold tea. I knew that I wanted it. So, she made me one. It was in a mega format that I'm used to. It was just over $5, which is reasonable. I paid with a credit card. It was easy. I tapped and was done. I thanked her for my drink and headed to my car. I sipped my watermelon Jolly Rancher tea throughout the day. It does taste like the candy, minus the sugar. The flavours were yummy. I was a happy camper. I am glad that I discovered NCN. It takes five minutes to drive over here from the hotel, which I love. The parking lot is small, but I managed to find a spot just fine. I wish that I had found it sooner on this trip. I'll need to return and try more drinks. This place closes at 4 pm most days. It's also closed on Sundays. (440)

Both my shake and tea were so good -- the tea especially though..YUMM!! I was given a punch card while paying, which was nice because I'll definitely be back soon!!

I literally bought 60 bars last year, which he gave me a deal on at $3 a bar (usually $4 each). The meat vendor has the best brats I've ever had as well. They are pricey at $7.50 for only 4 brats but they are worth it. They also cook and serve fresh brats during the market. My favorites are Italian Mozzarella and the chicken brats. Send me a comment if you have one of those 2 brats and they aren't the best you've ever had, I would like to know where I can get better Fresh bouquet of flowers for only $5! I'm sure this is available at most markets, but have to mention it. If I ever get remarried I will speak to those guys about furnishing my wedding. They have an EBT station which is a great idea but don't see many taking advantage of it. Saw my first food truck this year (2013) so maybe this will be a good spot to eat each Thursday if more catch on. However the brats are so amazing that I'm not sure if I would stop getting those anytime soon Perfect place for someone who wants to juice. Most veggies are only $1 to $2 a bag so you can budget $20 and have a weeks worth of juice.

I used to think of Trader Joe's as a more upper-middle class grocer, but not anymore. Everything (with the exception of meat and milk) is very affordable. That said, their shopping experience remains the same high-quality, enjoyable experience, with aisles of yummy options to browse, especially with the rotating seasonal options and new offerings. I've been here several times since moving to Eagan, and I've always encountered friendly employees. The checkout always moves quickly and efficiently. I also love grabbing some free stickers and coloring pages on my way out; it's like a little dopamine burst for my inner child! There are restrooms available to shoppers. They are gender-neutral, which is awesome for a trans guy like me. The bathroom walls are decorated with fun paintings much like the rest of the inside. They are also spacious and clean. Occasionally I have spotted a local food truck parked nearby, serving unique offerings. Once I got to snag some apple cider donuts that way, hehe. The only thing that's a negative about this place is that the parking lot (shared with the movie theatre) is smallish and has a weird layout, so navigating that can be quite challenging. Thankfully I usually walk! But even so, I have to watch out crossing because the cars aren't paying attention to pedestrians!

I never really go to Trader Joe's with a list or plan, I kind of just browse to see what they have and grab whatever- usually snacks. Sometimes I hate that I find unique snacks and end up liking/loving them, then they don't carry it anymore but that's not this particular locations fault. This store was very neat. Layout seemed backwards compared to the Bloomington location but it's not a huge store so it's easy to look down every aisle. I love that you can buy single cans of sparking water/drinks here. Staff were super friendly at the checkout.

We started with the A La Louisiane, a spirit-forward, whiskey cocktail with some funk from Peychauds and Absinthe. It was delicious and well balanced. We also shared the Glazed Carrots and the Parm Fries. The carrots didn't hit for me, as the glaze and sauce lacked a punch of flavor but the fries were crispy and delicious. It came in a flask inside of a VHS case which was fun. I then got to pour it into my glass. Other members of my group got The Red Wedding, Pity Party, and To Your Health. My spouse and I shared the strip steak and the wedge salad, which we enjoyed. I would like to see some more food options in the future, especially since I'm already pretty limited due to a gluten allergy. However, I am excited to come back.
