Love this new location. Friendly staff and plenty of parking - unlike some other locations. Everything is near and tidy here. I saw some new items and are giving them a try. Upon checking out, the cashier told me some options on how to use them that I wouldn't have thought about. Looking forward to trying these items. Can't say enough about their greeting cards either. I purchased close to twenty! And at $1/each, you can't beat that.

I was in the area on a Friday night last month. I had ramen for dinner. I had also finished shopping at Walgreens. Staring diagonally across from me was this Trader Joe's, sharing the same parking lot as my favourite theatre, Emagine Eagan. It's appropriate to quote Lizzo here. It's about damn time, Eagan! It's now a ritual for me to hit a Trader Joe's while stateside. In Minnesota, I tend to visit the one in Rochester. I've also hit the one in Minnetonka. I tend to stay in Eagan, so I am thrilled that there's one at long last! There was lots of parking when I got here at around 8 pm. There were pumpkins in front of the store that greeted me. It's a spacious, bright store. There was a lot of take in. I loved all of it. I got the following items: - Celery juice - Cinnamon squares cereal - Instant boba kit - Roasted seaweed - Pork potstickers - Almond beverage I've had most of these items (all yummy), except for the celery juice and instant boba kit. I do like the celery juice. It has a touch more salt than I'd like it to have, but it was refreshing and yummy. The slight lemon flavour made this drink perfect. I made boba drinks in my hotel room. It's a bit messy heating up the boba in the microwave. The drink itself is too sweet for me. It's a great concept if you are a bubble tea addict and want to make some whenever you want. I had the nicest man at the cashout area. I paid with a credit card. Done! He put all my goodies in a paper bag with handles. I thanked him and left. I will need to return for the frozen desserts. Watch out, mango cream bars! (440)

For years, I have driven past this Cub Foods in Eagan. It's on Town Centre Drive, which is fast food lane that I frequent often. On Friday the 13th earlier this month, I decided to get some groceries, and then pick up lunch across the street from Arby's and KFC. I stocked up a bit, as there was a winter storm warning for late Saturday night. It ultimately turned into a blizzard warning. There was lots of parking in front of the grocery store. I backed into a spot. It was a bit windy. I walked into the store. I needed to get drinks. Cases of Coke products were across from the shopping carts. I grabbed a cart and looked at the Coke products. I got a case each of Diet Coke and Diet cherry Coke. The produce section looked cheerful. Everything looked fresh and healthy. It was a day before pie day. I liked that various fruit pies were going for $3.14 each. I hit the prepared food section. I got a tater tot hotdish, which is so Minnesotan. It's a beef casserole with tater tots and cheese on top. I had to get some. Seeing rainbow gelatin as a dessert is also Minnesotan. I didn't get any, but I did look at it and smile. I was pleased to see an Asian section. I saw everything from ramune to coffee candy. It was cool. I was mesmerized by the frozen dinners. I remember that they used to be called Swansons Hungry-Man TV dinners. It's simply Hungry-Man. I got the salisbury steak, as it's my favourite. I also got Marie Callender's garlic butter steak bites. It seemed up my alley. This store had a lot of Coke cherry vanilla float beverages. I got a couple of bottles of the zero-sugar version. I got the nicest woman at the checkout. She scanned all my items and helped bag my items. I had her scan my Cub barcode off my phone. I then paid with a credit card. I tapped and was done. I thanked her and rolled my groceries to my rental vehicle. I put the cart back and then went to fetch lunch. I managed to haul everything back to my hotel room. It was nice having a stocked mini fridge. The tater tot hotdish was delicious. I had it as a snack later on in the evening. I'd get it again. I had the other items when I hibernated in my room during the blizzard. The salisbury steaks were comforting. I loved the mushroom sauce with the steaks. It also came with a chocolate brownie that you scooped out halfway through the microwaving cooking process. It came with mashed potatoes and green beans that were perfect. The garlic steak bites were amazing. My room smelled like buttery garlic for a while... haha! The steak bites were tender and full of garlic butter flavour. It came with green beans, which I dipped into the garlic butter. Heck, I was looking for anything to dip into this garlic butter sauce. I should go to Cub more often. It had everything that I needed. I'll be back for more when I'm in the area again. (132)

I'm originally a Californian, so until I moved here last year, I didn't even know what a Cub was…read more This is the grocery store closest to where we currently reside, so obviously, we go there with relative frequency, along with the Trader Joe's in the adjacent shopping center. It's even within walking distance, which made for a great excuse to get out of the house and take a long walk on wintery days just to pick up a small/light item or two. (And no worries about your ice cream melting on the walk back in zero degree temps, haha!) Truthfully though, I still also go to Aldi (up the freeway a bit) and the Walmart Supercenter over in Burnsville for the BULK of my grocery shopping. Cub isn't the thrifty option, especially for things like meat, produce, canned goods, and even dairy. So when I need ingredients for creating a big crockpot dinner or to stock up for the week ahead, I don't shop at Cub. That doesn't mean Cub doesn't or can't have some good deals, it just means you'll be keeping your eye out for those deals, and be signed up for their loyalty program with your phone number at checkout. For example, I definitely splurged on soda pop last week when they put 12-packs and 24-packs on sale. It reminds me of an Albertson's or Lucky's. It's kind of like it's supposed to be a more "upscale" experience than skulking about Walmart or bargain grocers. Like they have a cut counter for the deli and butcher, that kind of thing, if that still matters to you in this day and age when these niceties are being phased out to reduce headcount and streamline inventory. So it might be worth that extra nickel (ha, who am I kidding? With this inflation, extra buck) to you if you have the means. I always utilize the self-checkout. I dunno, it's just my preference to do my own thing and not be burdensome, and also organize my groceries in my reusable bags just the way I want to. But the employees monitoring that area (or who've helped me when I inevitably double-scan an item on accident LOL) have always been friendly and kind towards me and my husband. At least one of them recognizes us by now, which is sweet. Also, the bathrooms have always been reasonable clean, and they're positioned very conveniently by the entrance so you can use them before you start shopping. I've also won plushies out of their crane machine in the antechamber, lol. And if you're here the right time of year, there'll be Girl Scouts selling cookies! Yay! I can't speak to their pharmacy, as I've never used it. The parking lot is large and not shared with much else that draws a lot of customers. They seem to keep up well with cart returns, because I never see too many packed into the cart bays or left around in the lot.

Also Dr Pepper Zero was on sale in bottles for 3.49 a 6 pack when you buy 3. What really caught by eye and curiosity were the Stranger Things frozen pizzas for $6.99. I can't wait to open them for the free stickers inside. I am a huge Stranger Things on Netflix fan. Probably because I was a teenager in the 1980's. The cashier was super nice and friendly even saying my first name. Burnsville is my normal Cub but didn't want to navigate the traffic to get there. Just hope the pizzas are good.

We specifically like getting hot queso, guaca, and Tinga from the deli. They can also make you taco and other items for lunch/dinner right at the deli. It's all delicious! My only two complaints are: the deli ordering area itself is awkward to order from. The second there's more than 2 people, it feels crowded and uncomfortable. It's also right next to their house chips and salsa, which are popular items. Maybe they should move them to a place that's not so crowded and busy. Overall the deli ordering area is a massive layout issue. The self-checkouts are also almost never on. It's really annoying. They are right there, but almost never usable. If they aren't going to let me use them, they should just remove them. If would actually be the perfect area to give more space when ordering at the deli. Would solve the layout issue. Overall: go here and get their house chips, tres leches cake towards the back, and some deli items/meals. But be prepared for an awkward layout at the deli, if it's even a little busy.
