Love this place. It's like a happy place for us. Their house chips, homemade tortillas, tres leches cake, and a variety of deli items are amazing. We specifically like getting hot queso, guaca, and Tinga from the deli. They can also make you taco and other items for lunch/dinner right at the deli. It's all delicious! My only two complaints are: the deli ordering area itself is awkward to order from. The second there's more than 2 people, it feels crowded and uncomfortable. It's also right next to their house chips and salsa, which are popular items. Maybe they should move them to a place that's not so crowded and busy. Overall the deli ordering area is a massive layout issue. The self-checkouts are also almost never on. It's really annoying. They are right there, but almost never usable. If they aren't going to let me use them, they should just remove them. If would actually be the perfect area to give more space when ordering at the deli. Would solve the layout issue. Overall: go here and get their house chips, tres leches cake towards the back, and some deli items/meals. But be prepared for an awkward layout at the deli, if it's even a little busy. read more

Have been to this market a handful of times and would recommend checking them out for some delicious flavors! Their hot food bar is worth trying as they have many tasty meat and side options that are ready to eat. They make tortillas fresh daily which pair nicely with the meats. They also have plenty of grocery options and baked goods to add to your cart. If you are someone who likes to cook vs buying hot and ready, they have a great meat counter and cold options. The Grocery Store is well stocked the Stand outs are the Pastries, Produce, and especially the Meat Department which has a lot of Mexican favorites for Tacos, Salsa Fresca, Asada, Flank, Steaks, Tamales, great service, the House Tacos are the Boss, but have La Perla as well! Bodega 42 is a very clean and well-organized store. Its employees are friendly and courteous. However, the owners, who are brothers, are rude and abrasive people. Even their employees seem to be afraid of them and are unable to speak freely with customers when the owners are present. I find it disappointing that, despite being Hispanic themselves, they act as though they are above others and do not treat people with respect. read more

I have passed this place multiple times since it was built and I had to come check it out! WOW this is a super cool store! They have tones of different types of foods that are prepackaged or fresh! There is a hot bar area to get a warm meal right away. The place is bright, clean and well maintained! I tried the tres leches cake and it was soooo good! The service here was wonderful! We were eating at the adjacent restaurant and wandered into the store to check it out. There are many fun things to look at (and buy), so make the effort to take a look. Two of my favorite things were the beautifully decorated desserts and, completely opposite of that, the fresh fish on ice. Fun things you won't get at a large chain grocery store. The fresh tortilla isle was also very interesting. Soooo many options. On this trip, I only bought some chick peas (the varieties for beans provides so many choices) but am looking forward to getting some unique items here for our next Mexican/SouthAmerican themed dinner. read more

This grocery store is cool. They have bakery, deli, groceries, and connecting restaurant. I'm a big fan of Latin food, whenever I hear about a variety of food their deli offers, it made me want to go try them all. The guy behind the deli helping us was really nice. My friends and I were ordering alot of different items and asking many questions. This store is new and clean, has a nice entrance and big parking lot in the front. read more

Amazing market attached to the new Homshuk restaurant from the folks behind Orale in Tangletown. It's brand new as of this review but they really have all their bases covered. Tons of very friendly staff who you can tell are still training but are very helpful and know what they're doing. The market is laid out well and nicely lit. Everything super clean and new. Every type of Hispanic grocery and snack item you could want; a lot of them made in house. Lots of ingredient, seasonings, and produce in case you want to make your own. A huge selection of deli meats both raw and seasoned that you can make at home. Their prepared foods are fantastic. We got the fried pork belly and whole tilapia. Both are crazy tender and flavorful. The tilapia is flaky as can be and not too greasy. They've got a bakery that's still working on their lineup but it's all very good. Standard fare for now but their teleras look very good. Will have to get some next time. And there will be a next time! Still have to eat at Homshuk. read more

This store has is in a brand new building that includes a deli, bakery and restaurant. The bakery selection is huge so many options to pick from and the staff was very helpful when asking questions about the items. The tres leches cake was sweet but not overly sweet. read more

I ordered a Barbacoa burrito at the deli. They serve a unimpressive bag of homemade tortilla chips and a small container of Pico de gallo. The burrito was massive and delicious, as well as the chips and salsa! I wasn't pleased how 3 young employees by the deli weren't exactly speedy to acknowledge me and my order. It wasn't a busy time of the day and my cashier was nice and friendly. read more

I'm so happy there's a Mexican market like this in Apple Valley! They have everything you need to make authentic Mexican dishes. I can't wait to try their fresh meats, especially the el pastor and fresh tortillas! All the aisles were so clean and produce looked fresh as well, can't say that the prices are great but decent. I can't say about good things about this new market! I couldn't believe the selections, they have so much variety. Everything was surprisingly affordable compared to other markets in the area too. Products are available from not only Mexico, but also numerous other Latin and South American countries. The store is so huge, well organized, and clean. I could spend all day browsing the different products, but the spot I was most excited about was the fresh corn tortillas they were making at the market! The employee working behind the counter asked if we wanted to try them fresh from the press and of course we said yes! The flavor of the tortillas is so fresh, there really isn't anything like it. We ended up taking home a 2lb bag of the tortillas along with some fresh hot carnitas from the deli counter and lunch was done. :) I cannot wait to go back and look for more treasures, this market is a great addition to Apple Valley! read more

I've been there twice. Fun to browse items no available elsewhere but was let down both times by the 1/2 empty meat and deli counter. First time was as they opened so I thought I was just too early for the "good stuff". Second time was mid afternoon. There were more items ready but cases were still half empty. I purchased barbacoa that had no flavor...quite disappointing. Neither time were they making tortillas. read more

Went on Oct 15 '24 around 4:30... encountered a super rude deli worker guy w curly hair... the guy had always seemed grumpy in my prior visits but let it go... today, he decided to yell at me in anger, while I was simply informing him that the guy to my side was here first.... His tone and agitation in telling me they were already being helped was the rudest behavior I've ever experienced. I dropped the items I was going to buy and left. He stared me down like I was supposed to be scared of him.... Do not disrespect customers like that ever again. Find a new job buddy... get out of customer service.... I've supported this store since it had opened and went weekly. The rudeness from the deli worker has me questioning if I ever visit again. Unacceptable. read more

This store was conveniently located near restaurants, stores, a few hotels, businesses, all walking distance. Had a good variety of goods, fresh meats, produce, baked items, miscellaneous Mexican items and items if you're staying at a hotel! It's a great addition to the community that is growing! At the grocery Today - I purchased sweet bread at night and the bread is more than a day old, so disappointed. At the restaurant Food - the sopes were not fresh. I imagine these were frozen or old.
