Ah, Trader Joe's--my happy place with questionable parking. Let's start with the only negative: the parking lot. It's under an apartment building, which makes it feel less like parking and more like playing a live-action game of Tetris with SUVs. Honestly, it's a little bananas (pun absolutely intended). But hey, what can you do? You survive the parking, and then you get rewarded with the magical land of Trader Joe's. Once you step inside, it's a completely different story. The store is bright, fresh, and easy to navigate. No wandering around like you're trapped in a corn maze--everything is right where you expect it. Within minutes, my cart went from "just eggs and milk" to "how did I end up with three bags of frozen dumplings, Cookie Butter, and enough snacks to survive the apocalypse?" The food? Always fresh. The produce section is unbeetable (sorry, couldn't resist). The frozen aisle? A greatest hits collection of comfort food. And the snacks? Dangerous. You don't go to Trader Joe's to stick to a list--you go to "accidentally" find new obsessions. And don't even get me started on the seasonal items. I fall in love, get attached, and then they disappear faster than free samples. (RIP pumpkin kringle, gone too soon.) The staff here are the real MVPs. Everyone is friendly, cheerful, and ready to help. Need to find something? They'll walk you to it. Buy a new snack? They'll tell you the best way to enjoy it. The cashiers are basically snack therapists--nodding along, validating my frozen orange chicken addiction like it's a completely normal life choice. And of course, the flowers. Somehow Trader Joe's has the power to convince me I'm the kind of person who always has fresh flowers at home. For $5, my kitchen suddenly looks Pinterest-worthy, and my groceries feel fancier than they actually are. So yes--the parking is tight, but the payoff is worth it. Trader Joe's is the breadwinner of grocery stores (get it?). It's the place where you come for groceries but leave with joy, snacks, and probably a bag of peanut butter pretzels you never knew you kneaded. read more

I stopped by this Trader Joe's simply because I was already in the area. Since I had paid for 1.5 hours of parking and finished my lunch earlier than expected, I figured that I could run out my parking clock/time by picking up a few items from this Tj's. I must have picked the right time to arrive because the store was pretty empty, which made life easy for me. Overall, I thought the store was pretty organized, and I had no problem finding the few things that I needed. Compared to other TJ's in the area, I thought prices were pretty much in line. Additionally, I thought prices were somewhat lower to other grocery stores in the area. The staff was pretty friendly. All in all, a pretty good shopping experience. read more

A seamless experience. Everything was stocked well classic Trader Joe's items. The one thing I was questioning before going was the parking as I've never seen anything distinctively written about it so here's the answer. There is free parking up to 90 minutes in the parking garage where the entrance is off of military Road on the side of the building take your parking ticket And use the machine right before you leave the store to validate the parking ticket and voilà. Make sure you go to P2 level as that's where the parking is. Otherwise great experience got everything I needed in and out couldn't have been better and easier. read more

This is a nice Trader Joe's and I've gotten so many plants from here and tried many different seasonal items. The staff is always pleasant and they move quickly when checking you out. They're also helpful and knowledgeable. I randomly asked why they ring the bell and the cashier actually told me. Lolol. I just love Trader Joe's, my favorite items are the soup dumplings, mango yogurt, of course the fruits and veggies. I also love their croissants, quick meals and the ice cream section always has something good. My dog likes the banana peanut butter cookies lol. The parking is not the best here but there is a parking garage around back, or metered parking out front. read more

Let me start with parking. There is no need for street parking. Access to the garage parking is 8001 Woodmont Ave. (Same as the name of the classy apartments above TJs.) There is a sandwich board sign at the entrance, so look out for it by the entrance. Go straight down and there is a dedicated area for Trader Joe's. AND IT IS FREE! I parked right next to the elevator on P1 and it took me straight inside. The store is bright and spacious! So much light coming in! They had everything I had on my list in stock. I haven't been to a TJ's in ages, so I stocked up on goodies I spied on my Trader Joe's fan page. I had two full bags. Now I'm $78 poorer, but have real food to eat, plus beautiful flowers for$4.99! I may have to make this my go-to TJ's, at least during the summer when I'm off, and others are still at work. read more

The new uptown Bethesda TJ is an improvement over the original Bethesda TJ in that awful building. The store itself is much bigger and seems to have more. I do want to address parking. First it is free BUT you enter at 8001 Woodmont Ave near the St Elmo intersection. You go down the narrow winding drive to P2 level. From there take the elevators to TJ. When you arrive, the baskets are there but for carts go further to the right near the Wisconsin Ave entrance. All this is marked, but poorly. read more

We love TJ. We have several in our home town and seek them out when we travel. They are bright, airy, well stocked, great customer service, and always clean bathrooms. I'm a fan of Trader Joe's in general, but we had absolutely amazing service that really made for an excellent visit. The store was clean and well organized, and we were easily able to locate what we were looking for. There is parking available in a garage labeled with a sandwich board, and it connects to the store via an elevator. There is also an entrance/exit that opens directly onto the sidewalk if you walk there or use street parking. Our cashier was so friendly and helpful, and offered some fun suggestions and tips for some of the products we were purchasing. This is a great TJ's! read more

I've always been a TJ's girl and was excited to have one right underneath my apartment!!! Unfortunately we just moved away from this location but I immensely enjoyed living so close to this specific location. It was always clean and organized and the staff was super helpful and friendly in true TJ's fashion. It's a great addition to the Bethesda area and much bigger than the other Trader Joe's that is minutes away and this is also in a better part of Bethesda! There is ample parking in the garage, or even in the street if you'd prefer. Always recommend for anyone to stop by. read more

My experience at this Trader Joe's versus the one a mile away on Wisconsin is night and day. Whereas the old location is small, cramped, and often out of stock of products, this location is bright, airy, spacious, and always seems well stocked with an excellent selection of pretty much every Trader Joe's product as well as produce. Employees are friendly and helpful, and I truly enjoy doing my weekly grocery shopping here. read more

I loved visiting this Trader Joe's location in Bethesda. There was garage parking and if you took the elevators, it led you straight into the store to shop. I bought a variety of items from produce to meats at a reasonable price. I definitely recommended visiting this Trader Joe's location and the best part is that it's well stocked. read more

I wandered into this fine grocery store today ... so sweet! A friendly worker greeted me and they asked if they could help me. I said: "Yes, I am looking for something to eat." At the time, I was looking at frozen food that I could not snack on pronto. The kind trader joe team member pointed me toward the grab and go section. I got tasty organic popcorn, a apple apricot fruit bar, and a chicken spinach sandwich. Of the latter two there is no more evidence so yummy! As for the popcorn here she is! This is a well thought out Trader Joe's: the parking lot connects easily to the elevator, which directly empties you into the store. The inside is well organized, and the staff is very chatty and helpful. They also seem happy, which seems to be rare of grocery store workers these days! They also offer food samples which is nice. I love their breakfast burritos, veggie stir fry kit, kale salad, and the salmon is always good quality. It's always a good time browsing around seeing what's new. read more

I am originally from California and haven't found a Trader Joe's I have liked in Virginia or Washington DC. This is the best one I have gone to! It has great parking (entrance behind the store) and the store is spacious, clean and very well stocked. Super friendly and inviting staff! Fontina cheese 6.99/lb. It is almost impossible to find anywhere, not to mention for this price. Also port salut cheese 11.99/lb. This is HALF the price of every other store. Water crackers 1.99. They are usually like $3 or $4 depending on whether house brand or not. 4 pk ciabatta rolls $1.99. 50c EACH. Thiese are 1990s prices. You can't get everything at Trader Joes and you never know what you might find, but if you're in the neighborhood definitely stop by. The store is small enough to get in and out quickly, there is plenty of staff to help you find stuff (they aren't all at the cash registers), and they have some unique items. 90% is trader joe's brand. No alcohol in MD stores, but lots of interesting frozen food and corporate must have a serious sweet tooth. There is a disproportionate amount of candy, cookies, pies, frozen desserts, etc. So if dessert is your thing have at it but it's easty to go overboard. Do not go to Trader Joes (any location) for pet food. Pet food is NOT their wheelhouse. Also almost NO non-food items such as housewares, cleaning supplies, health and beauty, etc. They have limited space and want to max out the edible things. They have mastered the art of staying in their lane. This one is on the J2 bus line as opposed to the other (older) Wisconsin Ave location, so easier to get to without a car. read more

Over all the store is located in a wonderful area. But this review is based on management until I find out the proper contacts or what ever the case my be. So reading upon what the store is like and the kind of people that they would like to hire , I guess the store like to hire FRAUDS.. meaning that I know of THREE PEOPLE THAT IS WORKING THERE AND THEY ALL WORK FOR DIFFERENT COMPETITIVE COMPANYS.. meaning different groceries and the same time.. ummm how is that? I guess they each sold a good ass story to get hired and the manager or captain or whatever the hell you call the ship mates to get a job because they all are currently still working there and at the other grocery store. I guess aye aye captain didn't do his research or is a fraud hisself. Any way hopefully they will dig deep into who they hiring, because someone that you don't hire could have been the more honest person for the job.. just stating facts and my opinion! read more
