My friend told me about this spot and had to try it out! I really like how the staff there was helping us and explained how it was made and how the drinks and the broth were. I got the sweet serenity broth quart drink and the chicken wild rice and it was both delicious. The chicken wild rice soup was also a little salty for my liking. Also it is a little pricey for the broth drink $11 for a small drink. Overall a solid broth to-go spot on a cold day!

Trad has been on my list forever and I was so excited that they opened a location closer to me. They have a selection of broth bases -- chicken, beef, korean white broth (like seolleongtang), and a vegetable seaweed that can be ordered alone or they have specialty savory and sweet drinks made with the different broths. The tom kha sounded intriguing but i kind of wanted something sweet. The staff was super helpful and let me sample the broth bases. I landed on the matcha broth since they said it was their most popular, made with the seoul broth, coconut milk, honey, and vanilla. It ended up tasting more like coconut than matcha and wasn't overly sweet, strange at first but it really grew on me. Can't wait to try their savory drinks next time.

this is a very interesting new concept. I tried the classic drink and it was pretty good. I'm not sure if I'll be back... just because the price point is so high. very friendly staff and it was cute that they were giving out pup cups to people with dogs.

Only tried the chocolate sea salt. I liked it. Kids.... Not so much. It's a little pricey but will have to try it again for the savory stuff and update my review!!!

Small broth and took a cold quart to go!

My newest obsession. So much so that I bought 6 jars to give out for Mother's Day gifts. Hearty, savory, and perfect after my lagree class or on a chilly day. I always have a quart jar in my fridge and refill weekly (if not twice a week). Bring in your quart jar for the BYO quart price. If you buy a quart jar and don't bring your own it's +$2 the BYO price for the jar. Love the beef broth, immunity and beauty broths. Haven't tried their cold sweet drinks yet but I'm intrigued!

Best start to the morning good chicken broth

Absolutely fresh and hot way better then coffee, the taste is warm and like your in a cabin in Lake Tahoe Banner approved !

Ended up with the chicken broth and it tastes like someone's mom's homemade recipe.

It has a reputation for being expensive, but I have found plenty of things there that are genuinely worth buying. Some of my regular favorites are Fiscalini habanero cheese, Four Sigmatic mushroom coffee, Mary's organic chicken drumsticks, the Whole Foods jalapeño hummus, cherry or mixed berry pie, the field greens salad with goat cheese, and the Organicgirl clamshells. This is the kind of store where I go in for one thing and somehow leave with cheese, pie, hummus, salad greens, and a very specific coffee. I am also a big fan of their pre-made salads and family meals when I need dinner without the cooking. My only complaint is that the sides included with the family meals can be underwhelming. The green beans, in particular, are impressively bad. I would much rather pay the $35 and mix and match the main dish with sides we will actually enjoy than pay less and bring home vegetables nobody wants to eat. Recently, I have also noticed that the dessert and prepared-food sections often have items marked 50% off when they need to be eaten that day or by the next day. If you are already looking for a same-day meal or dessert, that can be a really good option. Between the weekly sales, excellent meats and cheeses, good pies, and the convenience of the prepared-food section, Whole Foods is one of those stores that rewards people who pay attention. Just skip the green beans.

I was excited to see a pink berry, brings back college memories of getting froyo as a treat. But right next to pink berry is a little take out place called the plant. They also have smoothies. For $11 a cup, it's pretty pricey, but the juice was delicious :) I got the one with beet juice and it came out such a pretty color. I suggest asking for a separate cup of ice if you like your juice cold. Otherwise it comes out kinda room temp with no ice. Because I guess this is a healthy food place, it attracts people who use jars and look down on the compostable cups all the Togo places are forced to use at SFO. They did not have any blue chia pudding because no one made it that morning, they didn't have any mango chutney, AND they didn't even add granola in my bowl like the description stated. Highly disappointing. Second, I got their tropical smoothie (don't remember exact name) which has orange juice, passion, and other fruits I can't remember plus a swirl of coconut cream lined on the cup... The drink was not aesthetically pleasing. Didn't see a coconut cream swirled. The drink tasted just like straight orange juice only but blended with ice. I always go to New Leaf in Capitola on 41st Avenue whenever I visit and they've never messed up on my orders (except for once when they didn't have mango chutney either). But the drinks they've made for me and the açaí bowls were yummy and good looking. The workers at the juice/coffee/açaí bar here just seemed very lazy and I've been here 5+ times.

This is one of those places that just kind of feels like home…read more I've been stopping by this market for as long as I've been hiking in the Golden Gate Area, which is over a decade. Some of Good Earth's items are on the super pricy side, but some are also reasonable. The deli and bakery items are usually pretty good. This was the first place I ever found Sjaak's chocolate. Sadly, they no longer exist, but I used to always stop by for their Hearts of Cherry after hiking around Mt Tam. Today I stopped by for whatever looked good enough to buy, which happened to be a pesto chicken calzone from the hot deli case, a slice of chocolate cake that looked too good to be $5, some roma tomatoes, and a blueberry banana water. The pesto chicken calzone had decent flavor, but it literally had like half a cup of grilled onions on it. Like, there was an entire opaque layer of grilled onion. Adding onions to compensate for less meat is one of the oldest Italian tricks in the book, and is the basis of many great recipes. In this case, it was a little much. Also, the crust didn't have any flavor, but for $10, for this area, it wasn't bad. The chocolate cake was the worst chocolate cake I've ever had in my life. It should have been labeled "iced biscotti," because that's about how dry it was. After a few bites, I had to double check to make sure I didn't accidentally grab an expired piece. It was so dry!! Okay, so, the cake was a mistake, but everything else was good. Their fresh deli pizzas looked AMAZING, but I did not take one home. Overall, the store is very clean, well lit, and merchandised nicely. My only issue is the twinkie sized stall in the ladies room, with a door that opens inward, trapping anyone who is greater than four inches in diameter between the toilet and the door. Sometimes you seriously have to wonder what kind of psychopath designed women's public restrooms. It's like, if you are larger than an actual Barbie doll, good luck getting in and out without touching the public toilet! So, I actually made two separate purchases. First, I purchased the calzone, and took it back to my car to eat. Noticing that I was surrounded by Teslas and eating disorders, I put up my sunshades so that I could eat in peace, without becoming a TikTok reel. After I finished eating, as I was lowering my sunshade, I caught the man parked next to me in the act of taking a video of me, anyway! My car is ugly enough to make a classist person assume that I'm a homeless person, which I'm sure is what happened in this case. Maybe he was planning to post it on social media as an example of how homeless people were ruining his life. When he saw a nicely dressed woman in a brand new, pretty dress (me) he looked shocked. I looked back and forth between him and his phone which was pointed at me, and glared. He lowered the phone and stared at me, wide eyed and jaw dropped, as if he wanted to explain. I glared at him as hard as I could. Classist rich people harass me like this all the time. As a formerly homeless person, I know that in reality, there's no such thing as "looking homeless." People who "look homeless" are usually housed and struggling with mental health issues, while homeless people who live in shelters are usually very well-groomed. But tell that to the classist rich person who thinks it's funny to take videos of other people and post them on the internet to mock them. I wish it was illegal to do that, but it's not. So if I'm posted on "homeless people of Marin" or something, that's what's up, even though I'm very much housed and employed. A calzone with a side of classism. Not the store's fault. But irritating none the less.
