I don't live super nearby to this Co-Op grocery market but my good friend does and she brought me…read morehere while on a walk, and I was blown away by the whole place! Firstly, it was my first time shopping at a co op and I really really really love that aspect of it. Anytime I can support a business like this, I want to! But beyond that, I was skeptical that the prices would be outrageous and was fairly surprised that they really weren't! Ok sure, some items were pricey, and that's true for any small store in this city, but for the bulk items and dry goods, the pricing was incredibly reasonable! I even found the same scones I buy at my local box box grocery store for cheaper here!! What?! I was also just blown away by the variety of choices.. they've got everything here.. produce, condiments, dry goods, chips, snacks, bulk items, tea, medicines and supplements, and a section of boutique handmade goods that was so awesome to look through!! I don't live close by but I will be back anytime I go to see my friend (which is often).

Looking for a clean, less chaotic bulk store and co-op in SF? Other Avenues is what you're looking…read morefor! OA has a plentiful bulk section with all the teas, grains, and beans you could ask for. A few hard-to-find favorites are: dried boba, soba noodles, THAI TEA(?!) and all the liquids. And of course, bringing your own containers is encouraged. Phew! I wish they would start a refrigerated section for things like miso and tofu!

Best spot on Divis for a quick grocery run! I mostly buy 'emergency' vittles from here. Love that it's usually open when I need it and is reasonably priced for a corner market.

I love Green Earth Natural Foods…read more They have more than I need for fill-in grocery shopping or a quick run to get a necessary item to make dinner, like fresh dill, tumeric or shiitake mushrooms. White truffle oil? Got it Diamond Crystal salt? Got it World's Best Cat Litter? Got it Canned espresso? Got it Fresh coffee beans? Got it Dragon fruit, eggs, scallions, pasta - Got everything All sorts of useful items big and small including the best chicken & cheese burritos and generous packets of fresh herbs from basil, dill, rosemary, oregano, mint and more. Though leaning heavily vegetarian, they stock Mary's organic chicken and other non-vegan and vegetarian items. My son grew up with this store since he was 5. He's become a vegetable-loving kid be it celery, kale and apples to make a morning juice drink or Chinese broccoli as a dinner side. He's learned about healthy food and nutrition from shopping here with me - and that's a gift that lasts a lifetime. True Blue to Green Earth Natural Foods!

Great store as a whole, it was clean, organized and well staffed. I love that you can find so…read moremany fresh items. Today I tried their prepared meals and it was surprisingly very tasty. I was doubtful that I would like, but I'm glad I was wrong. I bought two trays, I tried the London broil, salmon and lemon chicken with 4 sides, all very good. I recommend it, you will be glad. The staff is friendly and the portions are generous, this is an awesome deal. My only negative is their carts for the disabled. They are awful! I had such a difficult time attempting to drive it. It has a ridiculous sensor that makes it impossible to drive as it automatically stops every time you are 2 feet from an object or person. They are also very slow, if I could have I would have not used it, but unfortunately that's not an option for as I have great difficulty walking. They need to replace these awful carts with better new carts. I informed the staff and they agreed they are not the best carts for customers.

The lady working cashier on 2/17/26 at 9:28 PM has the worst customer service and attitude - crazy…read morefor someone working cashier! But it's obvious no one teaches any customer service skills nowadays. They close every self checkout at 8:45 PM, otherwise I would prefer to do it myself anyways due to bad attitudes like this, but after the 20+ person line, I had my basket on the conveyer belt with a few yogurts, and the cashier mutters something, so I said sorry and asked her to repeat herself. Apparently she wanted me to take every item out of the basket, when usually, cashiers just grab the item from the basket. What a stickler, very cool and lovely person! But hey, not my problem the other 10 people behind me now gotta wait another 30 seconds. After she waits a bit, she finally starts to scan super slowly so I guess she just wanted a break. I had barely even had a chance to tap my card much less bag my own items that she is already scanning the next person - don't even have a chance to move over and bag my own stuff. What's next? Asking for a tip? If your employees are so unpleasant and unhelpful - I could just do a self checkout with a security guard watching over my shoulder if you're that scared. Either get better service and training, or let me do my own scanning or I can clock in and do it myself faster.
