    Korean Beef Soup
    Meiyi Y.

The European beef broth tasted like a beef stew while the Seoul broth had more of the Korean seolleongtang or galbitang flavors. The Seoul broth was much lighter than the European beef broth. It was interesting trying the matcha broth as the matcha flavor was strong but you can still taste the savoriness of the bone broth. The Korean beef soup came in a large mason jar with slices of beef, green onion, and rice with a side of kimchi. It was decent, but not as good as what you would get at a Korean restaurant. Everything was made to order quickly similar to any other cafe experience. There is no seating inside the store.

Amazing. What a cool concept to take delicious bone broths and make them the base of a variety of cafe drinks! I tried both the chai and matcha drinks and both were awesome! Not overly sweet and was amazed that broth was the base of these drinks. I also asked to try a sample of the Seoul broth. Warm, inviting and the right amount of richness. Felt good for the soul when you drank it, like a warm hug! You also can get different soups as well and also discounts if you come in for a refill and bring your container! Pricey but expected for such high quality ingredients. Leaves you feeling satiated but not heavy or overly full. Amazingly friendly and helpful service from the employees.

Fun concept now that everyone wants to stay luminous by drinking bone broth, and I can see the appeal for cold winter days. But the price will probably keep me away. I don't know how to feel about buying tom kha flavored broth for $10 when I can just go to a Thai restaurant and get a better flavor with extra ingredients like mushrooms and chicken. Their tom kha had the spice and coconut flavor, but it was missing an extra hit of lime or sweetness. Fun concept, but perhaps a fad.

I stopped by on a Friday afternoon and grabbed a cup of the kimchi broth. It was really tasty and nourishing, and I loved the convenience of being able to sip it while out and about. I tend to prefer savory over sweet so I really liked that it was an alternative to coffee/tea. While it was a bit pricey, I still thought it was well worth the price and would definitely come back to try more of the signature drinks!

OH MY GOSH this was sooo delicious. 10/10. I am coming back. I'd come back everyday if I could!! I loved how we could sample the bone broth before trying. The branding is really well done, and the interior of the shop has a homey-chill vibe that feels welcoming. It was quite chilly outside but after tasting the broth, it warmed us right up. I definitely recommend trying Trad Bone Broth if you're in the area. It's like purest form of broth from well considered soups. The service was also quick and easy. Definitely coming back!

I loveeee bone broth for breakfast once I saw this spot I had to try it. The broth was super fire I got the immunity one I felt like I was starting my day right. If you're ever sick I feel like this would be the place to go.

Trad bone broth ... was an experience. While the inside of the shop is lovely, the customer service is great and they even offer tiny little puppy cups of broth, it unfortunately was not enough to make up for the fact that the broth is quite flavorless. If you are used to scrumptious strong pho style broths do not expect to get that here. Do not expect to get a broth with much flavor at all. When I went, I ordered the pumpkin soul drink as well as the original soul. Well, the pumpkin soul had a tiny bit more flavor than the original soul. It was very offputting with pumpkin flavoring a top a savory chicken stock style broth. Unfortunately neither of the drinks were very palatable and both tasted like a watery version of Campbell's chicken noodle soup with less than a third of the flavoring.

What a gem! I heard of this spot by word of mouth. It's slightly on the pricier side but to be expected because it's bone broth. I got the kimchi broth and my partner got the kettle one (I forget exactly what it's called). The kimchi one had a nice authentic kimchi flavor. But to my surprise I enjoyed the kettle one more - it had a nice kick to it and was spicier than I thought (in a good way!) so just a heads up for those who have a lower spice tolerance. It's a nice treat especially on a cold day. Will be back to try the other flavors!

Perfect for any occasion, but especially for a cold day! It's a small to-go space, but very clean and organized. The staff was very helpful as this was our first time visiting and I've always wanted to try a bone broth shop. We were told the different options and given a sample to try. To Seoul broth was very simple, subtle while the European broth was stronger in beef flavor. My favorite was the kimchi broth - had more of a kick to it!

Wow!! This spot blew me away!! The chai broth was 100/10. I'm very picky about my drinks but this one was so creamy and flavorful. The soup was delicious! It was hearty and filling. There's not much room to sit and enjoy your meal in store so I did take the soup to go. One of the owners took my order and he was so kind. He shared his favorite recommendations since it was my first time. I can't wait to come back for my next visit!

Was walking around after my optometrist appt and came across Trad Bone Broth. My first reaction was surprise at seeing what seemed to be such a niche specialty store and also curiosity that people really go to a little shop to buy bone broth. (And also that Noe Valley sure is fancy haha.) I was wondering if it was just to buy some broth to cook with later (which maybe yes could be done because you can buy a quart) but surprisingly it seemed to focus more on broth to drink right then. There are sipping broths and there are signature drinks which use the broths as a base (and not all of the drinks are savory!). The weather was cold and rainy so a warm broth also seemed fitting. I considered the immunity broth in the signature drinks (chicken broth, ginger, turmeric, black pepper, garlic, ginseng) especially since I've been feeling a little sick but I was really curious to try the Seoul broth which is a creamy white broth made from beef bones in the traditional Korean style. While I was there, they let me have a sample of matcha broth (interesting) and the immunity broth which they said is their top seller (and it was delicious, I almost regretted not ordering that after all). They lightly salted my Seoul broth and pointed out where I could get more salt if I wanted to add more (I did not, the level was perfect). The broth was so comforting and tasty. I'm glad I tried it! I may get myself another cup when I'm in the area again to pick up my new glasses!

    Matcha latte!
    Yoojin S.

Bone broth collagen latte? So innovative and healthy! The designs are super cute and is what brought me into this place. Love the recessed lighting and cute cup designs. I had the Matcha Latte -- sweetened with honey and with coconut milk, this is a delicious creamy drink. I wouldn't be able to tell there was bone broth if I didn't sign up for this honestly. Delicious! I sampled the holiday special - Peppermint Cocoa. Real smooth. More cocoa with subtle mint as it should be. I had to also try a savory one -- we tried the Beauty Broth -- savory chicken broth with rosemary & olive oil. Mmm I'd love to drop by and pick it up for future meals!

Ask the Community - Trad Bone Broth

Are there any dogs can drink?

Hi Casey! A lot of our customers get the Seoul Broth for their pups, which is made from only beef bones and water and is dog friendly :)

Are your bone broths suitable for pets? Where can I find a list of all the ingredients in the beef bone broth? Thanks.

Hi Vindy! A lot of our customers get Seoul Broth for their pets--it's made from only two ingredients: beef bones and water. :)

Hi, is your bone broth a complete protein or do you make from collagen peptides? Thanks!?

Hi Sarah, we make our broth from scratch in our kitchen facility in San Francisco with chicken and beef bones from organic and/or regenerative farms! Not made from peptides :)

How many ounces are the servings here (sm, md and large)?

Hi Laura! The small is 12oz, the medium is 16oz, and the large is 21oz.

I walk up to the booth and wait for him to finish with the previous customer. He's all friendly with them. As soon as he's done he looks right at me and says real stern, "What do you need?!" It's a grocery store, but has a bit of a boutique and rich vibe. It's one of the few places to get Mary's Chicken in the area and I have to get chocolate every time I go in there. The ambiance seems very hygienic to me, so I feel drawn into the place when I walk by. The Nature Stop has nice stuff, but my review has to be in earnest... maybe 2 or 3 stars? It's annoying that through several iterations of ridiculousness, you have to expect encountering some unnecessary and incompetent problem during each transaction. Two different cashiers didn't seem to understand the concept of tare weight. They weighed the meat with the packaging and attempted to charge me for it, despite the fact that the weight of the meat was printed directly on the packaging. I've worked in a meat department before and I have never seen that kind of inept behavior. It's insulting to the customer. So at the present time, the 2021 Domaine Bousquet Malbec is $11.99 here. The cashier scanned it and it came up as zero. He joked that it was free, but then had the audacity to offer me the obviously more expensive reserve price of $16.99, like the reserve one right next to it, and laughed in my face. I passed as I knew that Trader Joe's has the exact same thing for $9.99. Tonight, the Elysian 'tiger beer', listed at $13.99, rang up at $17.99, the same as their space dust. I passed, but they should at least have offered to have honored the price they had printed out for customers to read. The Space Dust IPA at S&S Market, one block away, was $15.99, so I bought it there and got to pet their cat too. It's a bit of a first world problem, but I didn't notice until being at home that my $6.25 chocolate bar, which is more than I made hourly when younger, was comprised of the wrong variety. I grabbed the chocolate bar behind the front one, to avoid the most touched one. It is a berry chocolate bar instead of the ginger one, and it's great, but still, the employees should be better at recovery. I was one of about two people in the store and it was not busy. I recommend going to this place to get ideas. Double check all the prices and shop around, but they have great merchandise. My suggestion to the owner is to install a self-checkout. The guy stocking merchandise was very helpful tonight with my bags.
