Great variety of household staples. The staff are incredibly kind people. They keep everything well stocked. They bag all your items like champions. The environment is always pretty chill, even when they're busy. read more

My go-to local market! There's a lot of market options in the Nob Hill area, but Bush Market remains my top choice because of their great selection and how sweet the owners are. They run TooGoodToGo, and even have their own phone number rewards program as well! read more

Stopped by Bush Market late one evening while staying a few blocks away on holiday, searching for Russian River's Pliny the Elder, as I can't buy it where we live. They had a solid stock of bottled choices, including the aforementioned, and from what I could see, a well-stocked assortment of other foods and items in a clean, brightly-lit shop. The fellow behind the counter was friendly and helpful, ringing me up quickly. If you're needing a solid neighborhood market and you're anywhere nearby, check out Bush Market! read more

Great family-owned small corner store market offering everything you've need! I've enjoyed sushi, green juice, deodorant, ice cream, and more from here, as well as surprise produce and goods through TooGoodToGo. Service is warm and friendly and personable--I will keep patronizing this great neighborhood business :) read more

5 stars to any market that's pet friendly because this it's makes a convenience store, convenient! The owner/worker was friendly and helpful. The place inside is well kept, clean, and has everything you might need. Would def make this place my go to place if I lived in this neighborhood but if you are staying in a nearby hotel like we were, highly recommend for those late night munchy cravings or small items you may have forgotten. read more

Super nice people, well stocked! I go twice a day. Always happy to help if you can't find something .

After being a loyal customer here paying regular prices and also trying to help with food waste, I decided that I won't be patronizing this business any longer. The two staff working tonight refused to give me my too good to go bag even though the app lets you mark your bag as picked up after the pick up window has passed. If the whole point is to save food, especially if I'm paying you to save it, being so petty over less than 45 minutes late to a loyal customer who also pays regular prices for food , I decided due to the attitude , I won't be coming back. Also, the food in their too good to go is mostly all expired which is also against the rules of the app/ a policy violation . They seem to be using it more as a community garbage can, so the least they could do is have some grace. The main guy I always see there is really nice but the ladies seem to have a lack of grace extended to me and a loyal customer . And maybe some type of personal issue they could be taking out on me . This interaction told me everything I needed to know about this business. Vibes = off ! read more

I was going to write a good review for their excellent variety of ice creams, but then I remembered I was in his store wasting my time trying to figure out if they had items in stock or not. My whole life I've only encountered bodegas that were overpriced with an unhealthy selection until I stumbled into Bush Market. I was visiting a friend who just moved to her new place a block away and I needed to pick up some housewarming wine and snacks. I was blown away by the variety of fresh product, meats, baked goods, cheese and snacks they offered in such a small space. The pricing did not gouge my pockets - it was quite similar to Amazon groceries actually! The cashiers were also very friendly (and not creepy like some other bodega owners). 5/5 RECOMMEND! read more

The manager in the store asked to search my bag. But he did not ask to search my bag. He yelled out u have have 2 more beers in ur stuff. I don't know if it is because he is not from the american culture. But he did not even know how to apologize and be embarrassed when I told him I didn't have anything in my purse and I let him check and he found my leftover lunch and my wallet. I don't know what culture he is but 5 check customers were looking that yeah I did not in fact have anything in my purse and he did not know to be an adult and apologize and be embarrassed. He doesn't have to sell anything to me. But what does this have to do with his mistake. As this was his defense. What does this have to do with his poor behavior . one has nothing to do with the other. What kind of adult doesn't know how to be embarrassed when flinging out mistakes. A kind of adult that would teach his ignorant kids his poor manners. Because an educated and decent adult would own up to it. He was embarrassed enough that he made a mistake and asked me not to purchase so he could avoid his mistake. He was embarrassed enough not to be able to give his name read more

I discovered this market by chance, and it's become my go-to on a weekly basis; to fill in my things like 1/2 and 1/2 for my coffee, bits of needed produce , and special treats I PROBABLY SHOULDN'T HAVE! They have an amazing selection, for the size of it, and the folks who run it are always as pleasant as can be! I don't even live in the neighborhood, and cab there! It's such an easy place to vet in and out of, and felt like a good bet for safety and cleanliness during Covid. What makes it so special, is that a great deal of care obviously goes in to keeping the store stocked with very fresh produce, deli products, and unexpected useful things you just dont find much in corner markets any more; like cleaning products, household needs, like writing paper, pens, minor electrical items and a great spice and condiment section! I just love this little place and so does my dog. In fact he loves it so much he started " leaving his mark", ahem... so he gets to stay in the cab, while his still somewhat mortified owner dashes in! ( honestly thought I had extinguished that).I am Thankful, that I was able to yank his shopping privileges before the very forgiving owners yanked MINE, and understandingly they had a lot of patience , but bad dog = bad master! A great gem of a place , and I think their prices very fair, for the convenience and the attention to quality and selection. I have also seen a wide variety of ethnicity in their customers, and always sense a welcoming presence, from all staff members, towards everyone. read more

Absolutely love this place. This is a big store and the staff here are.all very kind and friendly. Prices are right and on par with market unlike the other convenience store on the corner right next to Aliment on bush and Mason (don't go there!) read more

Originally I was going to give this business 5 stars. I popped in to grab some water and snacks as I was staying across the street and was surprised to see the wide variety of items offered. It's a bit overpriced in terms of the produce but that's not the issue. I personally did not have an issue at the store and really liked it but when I came to review it I saw several other reviews mentioning the racism and discrimination they've discovered at this establishment and therefore I'm giving it 3 stars. No business should treat customers that way and while I didn't experience that, they should still be held responsible. Therefore, I suggest everyone shop elsewhere. read more

This is my favorite of the small grocery stores in my neighborhood. It's open late and the staff here is always friendly. There's also a decent wine and beer selection available; I always know the time by the year by the seasonal Blue Moon option they have available. The owners recently revamped some aspects of the place to give the entrance a more open layout and create more space. Also, the checkout system was upgraded with nice large displays that show your items as they are being scanned. The prices are higher than going to Walgreens or a larger grocery store, but it's just down the street from my place. Convenience comes at a price, right? read more

My preferred local market. Corner stores are always more expensive for their convenience but this one is a bit more reasonable than other ones on the block. read more

I live right by this place and love it. It's the perfect little nearby market. Everyone who works here is super nice. There is a really good selection too. It's not a full blown grocery store, it's just a corner market but they do a good job at having almost anything you could possibly need on a whim. They even carry a few yummy cheeses in the glass case! Lots and lots and lots of wine to choose from! There are even some whites already cold and waiting for you in the fridge. There is also a small selection of cold champagne in the refrigerator. This works great for me when I wake up on a Saturday morning and decide that I want a mimosa within 10 minutes. I can walk over there in my stupid rainbow shorts and no bra and then flee back into my apartment smitten with my bottle of bubbly and half gallon of OJ. They also carry quality pre-made guacamole. This is pretty important because I love guacamole and sometimes i don't have the avocados to make it myself. And I hate the shit that more markets carry that is labeled "guacamole flavored dip'. Barf! The guac at Bush Market isn't cheap, I think it's 5 or 6 bucks for a tub, but it's the real stuff. What else is cool about Bush Market? It's always clean in there. They are open late. They have the Sunday paper there every Sunday. There aren't scary people shopping there. Lots of different drinks to try. They carry a cool little pack of salami AND cheese. The perfect size to satisfy your craving. They carry little pre-made boxes of sushi and it isn't bad! If you are craving a quick snack of sushi, I say try it! I have gotten sushi from there twice and it was good and fresh. Ah yes, and I have stumbled in there a bit inebriated a few times and the cashiers were still nice to me. Yay. read more

I started coming here more regularly a few months ago, and it's a one of a kind - always restocking, fresh produce, great staff and they always have my favorite oat milk read more

Nothing great about paying $11+ dollars for one bunch of bananas and two avocados. Ouch!!

Wonderful clean market and friendly staff. Always fresh produce. Shopped there for 28 years and I don't have a single complaint.

I really hate coming to this market cause they make me feel so uncomfortable as soon as I step through the door. They let you know right away that you're Black and you're not welcomed. The reason I often come here because it's convenient on my way home from work. And plus it's near my Apartment. So I try to put up with the stares as I shop at there store. It's really uncomfortable! That because I'm Black doesn't mean I'm a thief. I advice any one that's African-American or any shade of Black or Brown not to shop at Bush Market. It's for Caucasian People only. I was there today just to buy some groceries and they said "Merry Christmas" to all the Caucasian people that walked out and because I was Black,as I walked out -they just stared at me silent. If you're Black DO NOT SHOP AT BUSH MARKET or you will have a racists shopping experience! Go to Walgreens read more

Across from the eggs in the refrigeration unit you'll find the box containing the cartons of eggs they let sit there at room temperature. AA Grade eggs? Not after a few days at room temperature, my friend. After a few days that's a AA health risk. This market is the most racist establishment I have entered since moving to the neighbourhood. I have seen them search customers who had nothing on them, stare down Black/Brown/Yellow customers, and to top it off--everything is overpriced in this store. Whenever I enter this store I make sure I don't have anything besides my grocery bag and my payment in case they accuse me of shoplifting and have to embarrass me and search me. It is THAT bad and uncomfortable. Just avoid it at all costs if you can. read more

I've been rolling into this place for 3 years now, and started going when they still had their store cat, "BW." I once asked why he was called that, it's because he was black and white. Anyway, one day the cat was not there anymore, and there was an 8x10 in a plexiglass frame, behind the counter. BW had passed. The old man who used to run the market was quite sad, noticeably so. He's since sold it to his sister or aunt or something who lives next door. They are a very nice market to go into, the old man always says, "LONG TIME NO SEE! How are you?" in a very excited voice, upon spotting me entering his store. They have a pretty decent selection of liquor, wine, and they carry all three Chimay flavors of that delicious belgian brew. You're also able to find almost any kind of soda here in the 2 liter variety. AW rootbeer, squirt, grape soda, strawberry soda, etc. A bit overpriced on some items, as it's a small market, but great selection of various things. Bush market, you're my favorite corner store. read more

SIP Drizly order. A million thanks. Quick delivery and nicest delivery man. The prices were all reasonable. Thanks.

Open late and always friendly. I can go downstairs in the middle of the night in shorts and pop in for supplies ranging from toilet paper to a can opener to a fifth of vodka. They have frozen dinners, canned goods, crackers, cookies, milk, orange juice and a lot of snack foods, not to mention the essentials: cigarettes and alcohol. read more

The boys at Bush Market have witnessed me in numerous incoherent states. From my 4 am munchie run to my 2 pm after bay to breakers cookie run. Many times I don't even remember going into the market. The only evidence that of my visit is the cookies and Cheetos littered about my bed. When I wake up in these instances I am usually parched and hunger. Regardless have to do my version of the walk of shame back to bush market to pick up milk and cereal. The owner or workers are always very discrete and don't let the other customers know what an jumbled idiot I am. They just give me a little smile as if to say. I know what you did last night. Thanks Bush Market for looking out for me. read more

Two stars because I had recently dubbed this place my go-to for cheap alcohol. I started to come here a couple months ago, and was welcomed with great and friendly service. A can of PBR is $1.69 which is obviously cheaper than the $2 that it's priced at around the city, so this is an automatic plus and the reason I went in today. An elder man (non Asian) that I had previously never seen before helped me at checkout. The total was under $4 and I showed my card ready to swipe. He then balked and said there was a $5 minimum to use a card and I about lost it. I had made purchases from Bush Market about 5 times already with $5 and under totals and had been able to pay with either cash or card, no questions, comments, or concerns asked. So when the old man told me there was a minimum, I looked around for a little sign to indicate that that was their "policy" (although they can not legally enforce this minimum on to you fyi). I told him I don't see a sign and he said that there wasn't one. So I said that they need to put up some notification to let the customers know that there is a minimum, otherwise, it's BS. And you know what, it is. I was DISCRIMINATED against, and will NOT be coming back! Shame, since I really did like this little grocer. read more

The have great selection of fruits, vegetables, and basic grocery items. It is located centrally. It is pricey.

If you live in the neighborhood, this place is clutch. Yes it's a little more expensive than Trader Joe's or Safeway, but proximity is key. They have a surprisingly vast selection of inventory from cheese and wines to a large variety of spices and household items that you don't realize you need until you do, like toilet paper and draino. Plus they are open late and very friendly. Overall, this place is great for picking up ingredients for dinner that you forgot. read more

Good selection, decent prices, and half a block from my apartment. WAY better than the place across Mason - way more veggies and just a better selection of everything. My favorite corner store! Stopped in on the way to the girl's place, had to pick up wine for a special dish she was preparing. The guy at the door was friendly when I walked in, and the wine selection they had was decent. I was able to pick up what I was looking for in terms of price and variety. There looks to be a decent selection of items here, the typical mix of chips and booze and what not that you find at bodegas. This place looked like it was cleaned at least fairly often, which makes it stand out. read more
