I made an appointment for an estimate on Friday November 6. I provided my vehicle's description along with what work I was looking to have done which was some minor body work and a full repaint of my full size 78 Chevy which is in process of restoration. After introductions were made and we went out to see the car, immediately it was clear they Chip, the owner wasn't interested in the job. Instead of saying so, we walked around the car, he made notes and then proceeded to "inform" me that a paint a job wasn't going to improve the car's value and that a full work up of an estimate would take over an hour and he wanted be sure I was serious about getting this work done as he was concerned about the amount of time for this estimate and could be several thousand dollars worth of work (duh...). He also tells me that Maaco might be a better place. Nonetheless, he promises a written estimate would be emailed to me by the end of Monday, November 9th. Come Thursday the 12th, I called back, was told Chip was out of town and that there was nothing in my file, but he'd call me back. I called again on the 16th, finally got Chip and was told he was half way through the estimate. After hemming and hawing, I asked whether he wanted the work. More hemming and hawing, finally asking him Yes or No? The answer was No. I proceeded to let him know that a 5 minute phone call on either Friday or Monday to say he wasn't interested would have been satisfactory and we could walk away. After nearly 2 weeks of and not one phone call or email, Chip Tracy couldn't let a customer paying thousands of dollars know one way or the other. All in all, completely unprofessional. I would never recommend this place for ANY type of work. Never mind I told the initial receptionist the reason for the estimate, Chip could have told me right then and there he wasn't interested, or at the very least CALLED. read more

I drove into Tracy's Auto Body unannounced a few days ago and asked if they could give me a quote to repair a large scrape that I had on the front passenger side door of my Tahoe. Very shortly Anthony Martinez came out and said he would look at my car. My Tahoe is 20 years old and in good shape. The scrape had been there awhile and was just bugging me so I was wondering about the cost to repair it. I mention to Anthony that I didn't need a perfect repair as I would be paying for it myself and just didn't want it to standout so much. Anthony took my keys said he was taking my car to the back and for me to just wait. In about 10 minutes he returned with my Tahoe and the scrape was practically gone. You have to look closely to see where the scrape was. I was amazed. He said he had just buffed and said Merry Christmas!!!! There was no charge! My daughter's brand new 2014 jeep Wrangler was damaged and in need of body work repair. I am a firm believer in having the manufacturer's dealer make all repairs as they would have the best facilities and resources to do so. A friend of mine recommended Tracy's as a better option. I have seen their work and thought it to be a good finished product so, I decided to get an estimate from them and the dealer. Tracy's was lower so I chose them and was given a quick choice of accommodating appointments. I set it up and the work was completed ahead of schedule and looked like it just came off the showroom floor. They have convinced me my thinking the dealer's work was the way to go was completely inaccurate and my choice in using them was by far an excellent decision. When I got into an accident my parents recommended that I take my car over to Tracy's- They said they have been going there for years and Chip and the team do a fantastic job. I couldn't agree more with my parents! I got my car back and it looks brand new!! The process took a little longer than expected but Chip was very professional and kept me updated along the way. The experience was painless and the customer service is unbeatable. When I got the call that my car was finished I was at work, so my dad went to go pick up my car for me and Chip even met my dad at the rental car location and drove him back to the shop!!! I was referred to Tracy's by a friend who has had her car fixed there a few times before. They gave me an estimate and let me watch as they explained each item they added. I dropped off my car the next week and their estimate was right down to the penny! The repairs were done exactly when they said they would be and the doors that they fixed and painted looked nicer than the rest of my car because they did such a good job. The staff is helpful and flexible, they let you choose the best option and make it very personal. I'm giving Tracey's a super duper thumbs up!! Chip was so amazing. When I called to set up an appointment to get my door handle fixed, he really helped me understand exactly what was going on. Then when I dropped my car off it took 1/2 the time I thought. They really made my car a priority. Chip also inadvertantly fixed another problem I was having with my car and didn't charge me anything. He was very patient and took time to help explain everything (and I know nothing about cars). Tracy's Auto Body did a fantastic job painting my front bumper -- right away and at a screaming deal to me. They even lent me one of their vehicles briefly because of unusual and extenuating circumstances. And they did all this because an associate of theirs, the manager of the local Discount Tire shop I went to for many years (before I moved out of the area), called and referred me to them. This was back around 2010 or so. I still marvel at that degree of customer service in this hyper-paced time we live in. Having owned a body shop in another state, I know all too well the fears associated with having your car repaired after an accident. I have to say this was the most pleasant experience I have ever had with auto body repair. The estimate was more than fair. The work was done right. The paint matched perfectly (Pearl White), and it was ready ahead of schedule. I cant find one thing that wasn't handled with attention to detail. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and professional. Honest service. High quality work at a great price. I took my son's 1999 Ford Taurus in. He had a minor collision and drove the car afterward for two weeks, causing more problems. Originally Sears stated it would cost at least $1000 AFTER a body shop straightened out part of the frame. I spoke to Chip, explained my son's situation (poor college kid), and offered to use used parts, etc. They checked out the car, gave me options. We chose used parts, and the work was done quickly for $900. The car runs great. I highly recommend this place to anyone. read more

I'm not a car guy, so I was a little bit apprehensive when I was entering the shop. I had a dent in my fender that was blocking my passenger door from being able to open. When I explained my problem, the employee helping me (Chip) quickly fixed the dent for free and sent me on my way. I offered to pay and he told me not to worry about it.
