When she returned we had both decided on the Buffalo chicken spud bowl. Buffalo chicken on top of mashed potatoes topped with blue cheese. It wasn't really spicy but it was very flavorful. They had several different spud bowls that sound equally delicious. The was only 1 server there. When we arrived the service was great but a group of 18 came in and we never saw the server at our table until we got the bill. When we went to the counter to pay she couldn't get to us then either. A former employee with a good relationship cashed is out (only in a small town). It wasn't bad and I would go back. The only thing that concerned me was the service but I really think that was due to the large group.

We drove a long way to enjoy Sundae's ice cream only to get very disappointed. The sizes are much (much) smaller too. On top of this my cone was broken, but the used it anyway huh. Unfortunately, the food left us feeling ripped off. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap (but received the chicken bacon wrap instead). Not a big deal though- I was hungry, food took a while to come out so didn't want to wait for it to be rectified, and I was able to just pick out the bacon. My wrap had 2 pieces of frozen chicken tenders in it. This was really sad, considering it was $17. My husband had one of the skillets, which also clearly included some frozen food (i.e. the potatoes). We made the best of it, but definitely hope the food situation improves here. I wouldn't not recommend, especially if you're in a pinch, and given the limited options on the area. Also a nice place to come for a beer! They have outdoor seating as well.

I ordered the chicken sandwich special. It was decent. Not amazing. But good enough. Best part was that she thought she was waiting for us to pay, but we hadn't even asked for the bill. We were waiting to order the dessert she gave us the menu for. When she brought out the dessert she looked at the one I ordered and legit said "I don't know what this is...." That one sentence was the way the whole meal could be described. But overall a fun experience because of the company that we kept.

The atmosphere immediately invites you to stay awhile: relaxed, cozy, spotless, and effortlessly trendy without trying too hard. It's the kind of place that feels both comfortable and current. The menu offered an excellent variety, making it hard to choose, but we started with the goat cheese and mushroom flatbread appetizer paired with cocktails, and it was the perfect beginning to the evening. Flavorful, balanced, and beautifully prepared. For dinner, we sampled two outstanding entrées. The wild shrimp dish was incredibly fresh, served over a vibrant mix of garden-picked greens, avocado, watermelon radish, and a flavorful kicker dressing that tied everything together perfectly. The Faroe Island salmon was equally impressive -- perfectly cooked and topped with locally picked ramp-infused butter, served over asparagus and fingerling potatoes. Every bite tasted fresh, seasonal, and thoughtfully crafted. Overall, this was a wonderful dining experience with warm hospitality, a welcoming vibe, and food that truly delivers. We will definitely back for dinner and stay for the live music as well.

Excellent food and friendly staff. Filled with locals who all seem to know each other. My girlfriend and I spent two nights in a B&B just a block away, and we stopped in on a Saturday night. It was packed, and the only space was at the large communal table in the middle of the room. Our food took 40 minutes to come out, but the waitstaff was incredibly apologetic and offered to comp a round of drinks, and we were in no rush just enjoying the atmosphere, so no worries there. We had a flatbread with arugula and prosciutto and pasta with grilled chicken. Both were incredible. My girlfriend has spent a lot of time in Italy and has laughably high standards when it comes to pasta, and she wouldn't stop raving about how good her penne was. There was a corner filled with musical instruments, so it looks like they host live music as well, though not while we were there. Overall this is a great restaurant in a rural area that is worth driving to if needed.

Since he's leaving there we've decided to warn other people. First, the food was wretched! The main courses were messed up from the beginning and had to be redone. They screwed up the 'special' as well! My husband and I both ordered steak with shrimp scampi. We both ordered medium; his came back like shoe leather mine was so rare I couldn't eat it! The 'shrimp scampi' amounted to 4 shrimp each that had the texture rubber and appeared to have been thrown in a fry pan with a bunch of garlic sans butter and the white wine required to make it actual shrimp scampi, and dumped on our steaks. It wasn't edible. I ordered rice pilaf with my steak (part of the special) as did my husband. Both came back with cold, lumpy mashed potatoes! We had to ask for the rice! They brought out two smaller plates, much later, with 'rice pilaf' which tasted exactly like it was prepared from a box! It too wasn't edible! Then we order dessert, chocolate cheesecake...which was literally plain cheesecake with awful chocolate syrup on it...NOT CHOCOLATE cheesecake! I'm not sure what my husband or daughters came to because it was a Father's Day present but mine, with NO alcohol, was over $50!!!! For a terrible meal that had to be sent back because they got their own special wrong! Save your $$ and your taste buds and eat somewhere else! To make all of this much worse, the owner (same guy that served us) had hired my daughter's boyfriend promising a certain wage. Turns out he not only refuses to pay him the promised wage (paying him considerably less) but he's paying him (all the employees) under the table as well as cutting back promised hours! Our dining experience lasted 2 1/2 agonizing hours! There was only one other couple in the place and they sat down a full 30 minutes after we did and they received their food first!

We had the octopus dish and wedge salad as our appetizers which were an absolute hit. The chorizo complimented the octopus perfectly and the bacon was perfectly tender and crispy on the wedge. For our mains, we had the chicken teriyaki and the wild boar bolognese. The chicken teriyaki could have used one more element like a chili oil/crisp but otherwise it was amazing. The wild boar bolognese needed a bit of salt but otherwise paired beautifully with the pasta. We ended with an espresso martini and the star of the night, the coconut bread pudding. When I tell you this may have been the best dessert I've ever had, I'm not kidding! Cute and cozy place and a great meal for a special occasion or a just because!

We walked out and stayed away for three years. Yesterday, we decided to give them another chance, so we went back. There was no sign or any indication in any of the daily Facebook publicity that the dining room was closed, and that meal service is takeout only. So we went around to the takeout window, which is NOT handicap accessible (steps only, no ramp), and stand on line to finally learn that the dinner would not be ready for at least 25 minutes (this was at 5:30 PM, not exactly an off hour for dinner service). Did they honestly expect my disabled husband to stand in the blazing summer sun for half an hour? (There were no seats available by the window). I knocked on the door of the dining room hoping we could at least sit down to wait, but they didn't even answer. We left, we will NEVER return, and I will make sure to tell everyone I know in this little town to stay away unless you actually want to be treated badly. I don't care if your food is cordon-bleu, no business should treat their customers with such disregard. I guess they think that, since they are the only restaurant in town that isn't a bar, it's okay to be rude and unaccommodating. We drove to Cobleskill and had a lovely meal at the Cowboy Taquieria on Main Street.
