I love supporting local businesses and this one is definitely worth supporting. I've been buying here for years and feel like they work hard to keep prices low and in line with larger feed and farm supply stores. The staff has always been friendly and helpful to me.

Interesting scenario happened while we were at the Nashville Farmers Market recently. We asked one…read moreof the vendors (Rutherford Farmers Co-Op) if they offered anything besides flowers (hoping for vegetables or fruits) and the young lady working, went off on a rant about how her store can't afford to offer a variety of fruits and vegetable because "everyone wants organic" and "non-GMO", and she even very rudely said "well in my opinion, if you don't want to eat GMO's, then you just shouldn't eat at all!" We let her finish her spiel without saying a word, but in our heads we were thinking "wow, no thanks. We are perfectly ok, and entitled, to our organic, non-gmo lifestyle. We will never buy anything from her. Lesson learned." She could have simply said "no." Obviously, this does not reflect poorly on the Farmers Market, they have nothing to do with it. It was an unnecessary conversation to have with potential customers. Unprofessional.
