Not only was she amazing to us in regards to pricing but she spoke to us literally at length regarding guinea pigs and what they needed/what they eat/their habitat/etc! She simply pointed to the cages and said, "All of these are females, and those are males," while already walking away. I stopped her to ask whether it would be better to get a female and a male together or two guinea pigs of the same sex. Without stopping, she replied that it was better to keep guinea pigs of the same sex and continued walking away. She then said, "Call me when you're ready." I was disappointed by the lack of engagement and customer care. As first-time guinea pig owners, we were hoping for guidance and an opportunity to ask questions. Instead, we felt like we were inconveniencing the staff. A little patience and willingness to help would have made a huge difference in our experience.

    Unfortunately I had a very poor customer experience here. It began with a store employee dropping a…read moretropical fish on the floor. The fish was out of the tank for about a minute while the employee tried to pick it up by the tail. When she finally got a hold of it, she was about to put it back in the tank, when I suggested she put it in a quarantine tank. At that moment, her Team Leader walked by and said she should put back in the same tank, and see "if it makes it." By that time I had selected three fish and wasn't going to select more after the fish on the floor incident. I also purchased a $60 bag of dog food and $25 in dog treats (spending approximately $110). Later that day, one of the fish died, while the others were fine. I called the store, and they told me to bring back the fish with my receipt and they would give me a new fish (I was not told I needed anything else). So, I brought back the "dearly departed fish" and my receipt, and one of the staff got me a replacement. But when I went up to the cash register, the person who came to help with the exchange gave me a hard time, like she was doing me a big favor. I told her about the dropped fish story, and she seemed uninterested and annoyed. She was having difficulty processing the exchange, and was clearly annoyed about that. I finally gave up, why do I need aggravation and rudeness over an $11 fish. I gave them back the replacement fish, left the store and plan to take my business elsewhere. A truly negative customer service experience. I've purchased many things at this store over the years, and even brought some friends here. I think they call that the lifetime value of a customer, something I think the store owners need to explain to the staff.
