His last attempt to fix the problem was to tap the motor with a hammer. He has never returned since. To this day, now 3 years later, I still have a squealing stove. I have never heard from Steve again. Steve was absolutely no help at all. I spent a lot of money and got extremely poor service. Steve made his money and I was on my own. They are not a company you want to deal with. To be treated as if you are a burden to him is disgusting. He never followed up and more importantly never fixed the problem. He just couldn't be bothered.

Although the "nut" had split, the connection wasn't leaking, so I left it alone. :) As I prepared to open the pool this year, it became apparent that I needed to replace the broken piece. Since it was a PVC connector that was part of the plumbing for all of the return lines, the repair was looking fairly complex. I brought the piece to the shop, where I met with Keller and Bill. Keller was just as concerned as I was about the complexity of rebuilding everything necessary to replace the one broken component. As Bill walked by, he took one look at the part and said, "Oh, that's an easy fix." Keller and Bill headed to the back and returned with a handful of pieces. It's a little complicated to describe, but I got home, followed their advice, and was up and running in no time. Experience matters. What seems like a dilemma to one person is often a problem that someone else has solved many times before. The lesson learned: when in doubt, ask an expert. I'm grateful for Bill's experience and his willingness to share it. Thank you!

Outstanding Experience with Mackillop Home Services LLC…read more Recently, I needed my pool assessed to see if it had to be completely replaced or if I could get away with just replacing the liner. The old liner had leaked and some of the sidewalls were bent--but not severely. I called another pool company to come take a look and give me their professional opinion. Over the phone, they told me flat-out that if the walls were bent--even a little--the entire pool had to be replaced. They refused to come look at it in person and quoted me around $7,000 total ($5,000 labor plus parts). Yikes! Then I saw an ad for Mackillop Home Services LLC and decided to reach out. I messaged Matt, and he called me back the next day. I explained the situation, and unlike the first company, he agreed to come check it out in person. After looking it over, Matt said the pool absolutely did not need to be replaced. He said we could simply straighten the bent walls and install a new liner--all for about $600, parts and labor included. Huge relief, and thousands of dollars saved! Matt was polite, punctual, and great at communicating every step of the way. We now have a brand new liner, no leaks, and are back to swimming with zero issues.
