They have always exceptionally professional and very knowledgeable.. but I do have to say the last few times I've gone there and I've spent a lot of money in that store three separate occasions buying fish. Every single one died. I will not buy fish in the store anymore, but I will still continue to purchase my plants and other items from the store. Most people I have dealt with in this store have been very nice to me. But there is one that does seem like you're bothering when you ask a question. I mean after all , you don't expect us to go down the road to McDonald's and ask them, do you? You just have to get the right people , the gentleman in the back with the fish and the girls that work back there have been very nice , professional, and knowledgeable.

Usually has most things in stock even hard to find items that you can't find in chain stores like Petco etc. , and one thing they have that doesn't exist in a chain store ---EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Anything you need they're extremely helpful and happy to find or get. I had my dog training classes here, and that's how I started coming to this location; but I have to tell you the customer service from the store is unrivaled. If there's something you need, just call and check on it. They're happy to check in stock, They also have a website you can order through that too, 99.9% of the time what you're looking for is a stocked item,and on the rare occasion that it is not or you have an item as I did a special cat food recommended by the vet they did not have on the shelf they called another location, had it there for me the next day! I also have a bad back and I cannot carry large bags of dog food for my dog....put my back out once they had the food delivered to my house free of charge which is a service they offer as well; if I go to the store, they are happy to bring it to my car for me if needed. In short, go here, I highly recommend it.

I use them for the aquariums. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. I will buy fish and put them in a food-safe bucket and bring them home on the train rather than buy from the "chain" that is across the street from my apartment. I have been searching for driftwood for my 55 gallon that's been largely empty for a year. I have searched all the chains, online, and was unable to find decent wood that was large enough for my tank. I about to try using oak rods from Home Depot and thought I should at least ask about it at Brian's (I hadn't noticed it before). It turns out they had a huge selection of the most beautiful aquarium driftwood I've ever seen. I bought two big pieces, one Malaysian and one spider wood for contrast, and will get more if I can fit it. The selection was so good I wish I could take more.

Our poor dog was not very happy during our long road trip out East and was only eating half of her meals. She is a picky eater to begin with so we decided to come to this pet store for extra treats and new dog food for her. My husband had been coming here for years, back when his family had a dog 20+ years ago so this store has been around for quite some time. The store itself is fairly small but has a large selection of treats and pet food. Having not done any research on what we were going to buy, the selection was a bit overwhelming for us. Audrey (the owner) was very caring and knowledgable and gave us great recommendations. She listened to our dilemma about how our dog was a very picky eater and so she gave us free sample of 8 different types of dog food to try out! We had never thought of doing something like that, which is odd because I spoil my dogs like crazy, so we were excited to have our dog sample different foods and make the decision for herself. When we got home with all our dog samples we put each of them in little plates so she could sniff each one out and see which one she loved. Being the picky eater that she is, needless to say she ate only half of the sampled foods and we were easily able to figure out which was her favorite. Such a genius idea and we couldn't thank Audrey enough when we came back to buy more dog food.
