EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! Ordered an item that has been out of stock for months and received an email saying it would be available on a Wednesday, the item came in early on Tuesday afternoon I wasn't able to pick it up due to work so I said I'll grab it tomorrow on Wednesday when it was scheduled to arriv. Wednesday Morning at 6am I get a text saying they canceled the item. I called both the store and headquarters and was told I don't know what you want me to do it's a 48hr window huh are we in different zones? it was canceled in less than 6hrs mind you this is a $25 item they sell on Amazon for $100. I repeatedly reminded them it was less than 12hrs before they can and they kept saying well I don't know what you want me to do the item isn't av right now. ABSOLUTELY NO ACCOUNTABILITY!!!! This review is for the self serve dog wash. I was very impressed with this service. For $10 you get a lot. First, you pay at the register and you're given towels and treats. There are only two stations, so I had to wait a short amount of time on a busy weekend afternoon. Once inside, there is an array of shampoos, a washing area with a hose that has different settings on the nozzle. After washing and towel drying, I put my dog on one of the grooming tables. I had a difficult time adjusting the size, but eventually just switched to the other without problems. I used the nail clippers, brushed and blow dryer while my dog was on the table. I was satisfied with how easy and quick it was and would certainly return. read more

There was a turkey chick crying hysterically at the store, so my friend walked over to it. It had a partially crushed head! My friend identified herself as a rescuer and asked if she could take the chick and try to save it. Tractor Supply Medford made her purchase the suffering baby! Talk about greed! The chick should have been given to a rescuer for free or humanely euthanized. Instead, they somehow gravely injured it and still profited from it. I won't give them a penny going forward. read more

Horrific experience with manager Matt today. Purchased 6 baby chicks today at 12:30pm, and by about 4:20pm one had died. It was clearly not healthy when sold if it died just several hours later. I called the store immediately requesting to exchange the dead chick for a healthy chick. I could bring in receipt proving purchase and bring in dead chick and even could bring in the 5 other live chicks if possible. We spoke to an employee Larry and he said yes just bring receipt and dead baby chick and they could exchange and give a healthy chick. Unfortunately, when arrived we encountered Matt who told us he is the manager. He cited agriculture law stating minimum of 6 chicks. We explained we just bought 6 chicks and have the receipt from just hours ago. We just need to exchange for the dead chick. Back and forth and back and forth. He continues to repeat same thing. He was rigid, inflexible, starts raising his voice. We tried to Explain that we could get the 5 other chicks we purchased a few hours ago as well to prove we are just doing an exchange for dead chick. He actually begins to yell at us. At this point a crowd is forming of other customers also equally disgusted--several came up to me afterwards saying as much. One customer offered to buy a 7th baby chick in his bunch for me. He gave it to me outside the store. I've never in my life been yelled at by a manager of a store...when the store sold me a sick chicken that died hours later. My kids and I were already upset about that too! This type of behavior should not be tolerated in a manager. Whoever hired and continues to hire him Needs to re-think what putting someone like this in a leadership position is potentially doing to the rest of the staff and customers in that store, not to mention living animals. I will never be returning and will share this on every social platform I have access too. read more

I disagree with both reviews I drive over an hour to get there and it's well worth the trip I go to a lot of farm animal and feed stores on Long Island and the only other one that is comparable is Neptunes out east the service is on par and everything else is perfect the food is in the isles help is there when needed and the store is super clean. read more

I usually love this store but today I was absolutely appalled by the way I saw a male employee treating a elderly man in the chick section, yelling at him that "he does not get to choose" when the old man expressed he felt some of the chicks weren't as healthy as others he was yelled at with "none of the chicks are sick". Having owned and raised chickens for a long time I can also verify that none of the chicks are being cleaned up and a large percent had pasty butt and others were showing signs of mushy chick disease. Not being able to pick what chick you want because the employee is unfit to think of a better way to handle them for purchase is a absolute joke. Let alone taking a sick chick posts a danger to pre existing flock at home. A female employee saw me and my husband looking at the chicks and made a comment saying that the new tower set ups are the worst. Yet they've made no attempts to improve the way they collect chicks for sale. Simply a step ladder and a small paddle to gently corral the chicks safely would help. The employees were all very verbal about how unhappy they were with the new chick holding stations. They absolute disrespect I saw today I will never forget, along with the laziness and crudeness. read more

Checkout is so slow and the (second line is often unattended) you just want to put down your stuff and leave. People on line waiting with me ... getting supplies for their horses, etc. say they're never coming again. I love how some people love to leave information out of their reviews that would make them look bad, for example the person with the chick that dies a few hours after purchasing it, was told it was against the Town of Brookhaven's agricultural law to sell them one chick and was offered a refund on one chick and or they could purchase the legal minimum of six chicks and they then claimed they were yelled at by the manager. What they fail to tell us is that the manager only raised his voice after the customer said how about I buy the six chicks and then kill 5 of them, to in which the manager who is an animal lover became very upset as did I when I heard the customer make that comment. Yes unfortunately animals die and get sick they were willing to refund you the $3 and change you paid for the deceased animal but that wasn't good enough for you so you threatened to harm other defenseless animals and then wondered why the manager got upset and raised his voice to you! So please the next time you are going to bash someone else make sure you include the things that you said and did so the people reading it can get the full story even if it makes you look bad! read more

I've been here about four times since it opened and I'm really surprised at the poor reviews. The staff are very nice and there is an enormous amount of feed options to choose from. I used to have to go to two different feed stores to get what I needed, one being all the way in Calverton. It also advertises the pet vaccine days as well as a wash area to bathe your dog which is really nice. read more

Excellent store with items nobody else carries. Great prices and a drive in part of the building where you can load up materials or whatever you purchased easily especially if there is rain or snow! I found a fence here which beat Home Depot by $95.00 & the stakes were $2.00 each cheaper. If they don't have the item in, order it online and the store will get it in a day or less. Awesome!!! This is a great addition to the choices for retail supply based stores in the area. Sometimes there may be a slight wait at checkout, but at least you are not being herded through a thankless self checkout like so many big box stores. The staff is helpful and friendly.
