My wife and I were enthusiastic customers of Toyota of Pullman for 12 years, during which we bought a Prius, Prius C, Corolla and Highlander hybrid, all new. We also bought a used Tacoma and GMC Sierra. In addition, our recommendation led to at least two sales from family members. We also participated in an advertisement for the dealership, doing a video interview for it. About 1.5 years ago, we decided we no longer needed our one year old Highlander hybrid and were wanting to liquidate it and our paid off GMC Sierra and purchase a pickup that was good for towing. Unfortunately, we were underwater on the Highlander and recognized that we would owe more than it was worth if we traded it in or sold it to the dealer. We talked to a salesman and received a dollar quote for what we would owe if we sold it back to them. We decided to take the offer and came in the next day to make the deal. We would have traded it in instead of selling it back if there had been a truck we were interested in. When we got to the dealership we talked to the salesman and said we would take the deal. He said he needed to talk to his manager and the manager returned to talk to us. He said the deal was a no go and wasn't remotely possible, even sounding irritated at us, even though the salesman was the one who offered the terms. We let him know this and he flatly refused. He didn't apologize for the confusion or make any attempt to find a workable solution or make it up to us in any way. Needless to say, we took our business elsewhere. We will never do business with Toyota of Pullman again and will strongly discourage others from it too. We love Toyota still so maybe we'll check out the dealership in Lewiston. read more

took a lexus in once for an ac recharge. got the car back, ac does not work. notably, new overheating issue as well. inspect it myself, notice a new screwdriver placed flush against the radiator, jammed into the side. found out they took the perfectly good radiator out, dropped it on the ground repeatedly (given also new dents and leaks) and onto a screwdriver. as a result, coming back the second time was billed 1k for the new radiator, and then had to pay the ac service again just to have cold air when yes, it was just low on refrigerant the entire time. had i not been lazy and done it myself i could have spent only 50 dollars at most on a recharge kit in moscow. read more

I bought a 2024 toyota camry from them at the beginning of this year. I only have 9.6k miles on it right now and I have a bulge in the side wall of my tire. I never hit a curb or pothole or anything and was told that it was likely a manufacturing defect. So I asked Toyota of Pullman if they would replace the tire and they adamantly told me that tires are not covered under warranty. Regardless of the fact that they sold me a defected tire, they refuse to fix the situation. I called 3 other dealerships and explained the situation as if I'd bought the car from them and all 3 were ready to replace it, free of cost. Toyota of Pullman will sell you defected vehicles and then make you pay to fix it. Do yourself a favor and buy from any other dealership. You can usually get cars shipped to different dealerships, Lewiston Toyota is fantastic and will actually help you with these kinds of issues. read more

The worst dealership I have ever bought a car from. I bought my previous car from them, a 2017 Toyota Camry in July of 2016. They are the most pressure packed, stereotypical car dealership you could ever imagine. They took the plates off my trade in before I had even agreed to anything (should have been my first sign to leave but I was young and dumb). They snuck an amount into our down payment under our nose and then continuously called us threatening us to pay or they'd take the amount to collections. We called their sales manager multiple times. He literally hung up on my wife during one of the calls. The experience I had at this dealership made me never want to buy a Toyota again. Avoid at all costs!!! read more

First, if you actually read any of these reviews you'll see the nasty ones are for the dealership side. The service side of Toyota of Pullman is no short of excellent. I had done my own work for years and recently found myself in a situation without a garage and in need of work on my 2001 Tacoma. With a job to get to I reluctantly called "the dealer" and arranged the service - specifically because they could give me a loaner. I dropped my truck at the specified time and they gave me a clean new Corolla with driver assist features. The very same day they called me and had found my problem: a loose bolt on the skid plate! They fixed it for free and I opted to do a timing belt/water pump replacement instead. After getting the truck back, I noticed some antifreeze on the ground. Horrified, the service manager promptly took the truck back and replaced both the radiator and hoses AT THEIR COST, though I opted to pay parts. Incredible. I kept their loaner over a week because of scheduling issues and wasn't charged a penny. Listen: their pricing is competitive, you get factory Toyota parts, free loaner, and they absolutely stand behind their work. If you live in the Moscow area, why would you go anywhere else? read more

We bought a used car here in June of 2021. We went to this dealer because we trusted the name, and expected them to be upfront with us. That is not what we got. We got a car with problems that should have been picked up by the "inspection" that they told us they did. My problem isn't that we bought a used car with unknown problems.... we bought a used car and they knew there were problems that they could have told us about but didn't. And for the trouble of paying over the car's value (don't believe them when they tell you the sob story about car price inflation) we get stuck with mounting repair costs related to the rust issue that if they had actually inspected the car they would have seen. I get it was a used car, buyer be ware and all. But when I trade in a car you expect me to tell you what is wrong with it and I do. I expect the same thing from a dealer with a good name when I purchase from them. I just want to make sure others in the area know that they need to take the car for an outside inspection. I just don't want another family to end up in a bad place because they didn't know what to expect. read more

I called during the week and made an appointment for 9am on a Saturday. The wheel well plastic protector on one side of my car came completely off (I involuntarily went mudding). There was not many people in when I got there, which was fine with me. Jesse was quick to greet me and check me in. I still had the piece that needed to be re-attached so they took it on back to see if they could fix it. Roughly 45 min later, Jesse came over to where I was sitting, smiled, and handed me the keys "looks like we were able to re-attach, so all finished". Great, then I asked where I needed to pay. Jesse simply said "nope, no charge. Good to go". Just like that! Needless to say, I stared at him for a moment in disbelief. I even asked "are you sure?" Great service, made my day! I had put down money to hold the vehicle we wanted and we made plans to come in a couple of days later to pay the full sticker price. Once I got there I quickly realized that their slogan, "Straight to the point pricing" is just something you say and post on web pages to make people feel good. I soon realized that if I was to buy that vehicle I would now need to buy around 5k in additional products such as windshield protection, extended warranty and under coating spray. I have never seen such a display and lack of integrity in a business. This is something you see in big cities, not in little rural areas like Pullman and Moscow. I would be surprised to see this type of business practice last long in the Palouse. read more

If I was able to give less than one star I would. My daughter is a COLLEGE STUDENT and was charged $123 for an oil change. This is outrageous. No where on their website could I find a price list for services. She will be getting oil changes at the Toyota in her home town which charges $79. Still pricy I know. They still top off fluids, rotate her tires and do a multipoint inspection. If you wish to be price gouged this is the Toyota for you. read more

The car developed a high pitched noise on the way so I took it to a dealer in Idaho Falls. The rear differential was "bone dry" and had to be replaced at a cost of nearly $3000. Clearly someone at the shop drained the differential and did not replace the fluid. I have contacted the service manager, Dean Parker three times with no response. My review is for the service department. I wouldn't trust them to give me fair prices, even for a dealership. I went in when my scion hit 100k and asked them to do all the work suggested by my owners manual. They performed the work, and handed me a laundry list of things I need to consider doing at a future visit. Flush coolant, flush power steering, and flush braking system were on the list. I went to a local place, pro-tech, and they quoted me hundreds of dollars less - not surprising since dealerships are typically much more expensive. The guy at pro-tech told me he looked at my cooling and brake systems, and they were clean as a whistle - he didn't want to charge me for work that didn't need to be done. He then informed me that my car doesn't use power steering fluid since it's an electric system. Something I'd hope the dealer would know. This is actually the second time that I've asked another mechanic to review the work Toyota of Pullman wanted to perform on my car, and the second time a mechanic said he didn't think the work needed to be done. read more

So I went today September 29, 2015 around 6:30pm to Toyota of Pullman for two things. 1- to check my next service 2- to put my new license Then I met the salesmen who I bought the car from on August 10th. He explained me the next service dates and staff. After that he asked me if I can review him on Yelp. I said yes and posted a review on Yelp. Today I went to the Toyota car dealership in pullman because I needed some services with my car. However, I wasn't treated well . There was no good customer service. The guy that was helping me was suppose to put my new license plate on. Instead he left my license plate and some paperwork on the ground and told me to do it on my own because my previous review wasn't satisfactory to him. He also told me that I can't get any service or any anything else unless I remove my review on Yelp. It is really a shame on how this individual treats a customer who bought two cars from them and threatening a customer to remove a review on Yelp. I previously posted a good review, but things have changed since then. Here is our experience buying a used car at Toyota of Pullman. We bought a 2001 Toyota Avalon with very low miles for the age. The Avalon was a smoker car that had been fumigated several times. Service, when we took it in said: "Oh that car is back AGAIN"? In the end they sold us a smoker car without any mention of the same. The smell was not noticeable until the car had sat in the sun the day after we purchased it. They covered it up well enough for when we drove it. Misrepresentation is what I call that. When we called them on the smoke, they would only take the car back at trade in value, so we lost another 4-5k in two days. Then, when they wrote up the final contract for the Malibu purchased as a replacement, they miscalculated the warranty pay off, and so we were forced to sign a new sales document with no apologies other than taking 120 off the warranty. This was a 3000 dollar error. Therefore what we thought was a 23,000 loan, actually turned into 26,000, with no recourse except to take the additional loan. We would have looked for a better deal had we known the final numbers. Lastly they do not mention the "out the door" price until you have signed the credit application and they ran everything. It all goes so quickly that they sweep you up in the moment. read more

Well I would have to recommend another place to get your oil changed. Upon taking my oil to get changed in Spokane after Pullman Toyota changed my oil 3 times, I discovered there was a cap missing on the top of the gasket that could cause the oil in my car to back-flow or not filter properly. The mechanic in Spokane said it had likely been broken off the last time my oil was changed and was a "big red flag" - I should've been informed. So I had to pay for Pullman's lack of communication/damages. Big bummer. Thank God I took my car to Spokane for the oil change as I have a big road trip coming up. read more

I am a long time Toyota customer having always taken my car to the dealership in the four states I've lived because of the amazing customer service. With that however, this dealership was a bit of a surprise for me. Maybe a symptom of how spoiled I've gotten with the other 6 Toyota dealerships I've been a regular customer of, but I found this one to be an anomaly to the Toyota ownership experience. I felt here that the motto may be, "the minimum would not be the minimum if it wasn't acceptable." I got my car serviced well, they did the job, but what was missing was the attention and customer service I've grown accustomed to. Pure speculation, but perhaps it's the large student/ transient base, but I got the distinct impression that this service team didn't value return business. I usually take my car into the dealership even if there is a slight premium because the additional service and hassle free parts/ expertise is worth it to me. However, in this dealership's case I think I only paid a premium for service that I could have gotten at any other garage in town. So three stars for "Meets expectations". read more

I purchased my Sequoia new in 2018 and have had these guys service it fro the past three years doing everything from tire rotations, oil changes and all other basic upkeep. I brought my Toyota Corolla at this location for oil change and some minor repair. I was reluctant at first to bring my car to Toyota Dealership to get serviced because they are normally more expensive than the sole proprietor mechanics. However, my car is getting older and I need it to last me a long time. In the last three to four times I brought my car over for estimates, oil change and had minor repair done, the Service Department team dealt with their customers in a professional manner. Though I admit, some service my car needed may be a little more expensive to have it done at the Toyota Service Department, but for my Toyota that's getting older, I'll need quality of service done by Certified Toyota Mechanics. I am very happy not only with the customer service aspect at this location, but also the kind of care they put in my car and the guarantee of their service done to my car, which I may or may not get from mechanic shops. read more

During the buying and negotiation process the staff was helpful and attentive, afterwards that all changed. At the time the sale ended it was 9pm and very dark. and I did not see that when they attempted to clean the vehicle for my possession that the windows were covered in grease and hand prints. I called the following morning and explained that I was dissatisfied about the appearance of my new Sienna and they said to have me bring the vehicle back and they would get it cleaned up. After 3 separate attempts to get the vehicle cleaned it was still a mess as they always had an excuse. I was also promised a tank of gas with my purchase that they also conveniently forgot about after signing on the line. Horrible experience here: Came here knowing exactly what the REAL dealer invoice pricing was as well as knowing the trade in value of our existing car using the most used guide by dealers. Their STTP pricing was decent & got their E Price which was about 200 better. The salesman was brisk & impersonal, he seemed annoyed that we had been shopping around. After some back & forth regarding the trade in we finally had a deal. This after we had to walk out once & he even came out to fetch us as we were driving away. We went back in to finalize the deal, I even initialed the price we agreed upon on his paper work, he had the deal. But then they started playing shell games with the manufacturers rebate & even said they would pull the mats out of the vehicle! This was the last straw so we went straight down the hill to Rogers motors & made the same deal. This salesman made several assumptions about us & our intentions even voicing them to us several times during our visit there that were highly uncalled for. I let them pass being the adult in the room. He looked to be very annoyed the whole time. We are so happy we did not complete the deal there which is funny because... HE HAD THE DEAL! The sweetest part was driving home that night in our just purchased car from his rival when he called on my cell phone & I got to tell him we were driving home in our new car. Briefly..an elderly woman friend of mine left the dealership in tears..when she realized she had been stampeded into buying a new car (she subsequently replaced it within a month) by a fast talking car salesman. Several dealership employees, including the salesman, saw the tears starting to well-up. Instead of asking her what was wrong, they all immediately found somewhere else to be, and totally ignored and abandoned her. They knew what was wrong..they had created it. My friend later found out that a friends parents walked out on this same salesman when they recognized the showroom tactics they were being subjected to. Update: I was promised an Email (on a specific day) verifying an appointment for a follow-up to this sale. The promised Email didn't arrive. This dealership doesn't deserve a review...instead, it deserves to be posted with a poisoned water hole stake. read more

I had a wonderful experience buying a new truck here 2 years ago. The salesman was polite, not pushy at all, let us drive off without trying the typical salesman antics and showed us numerous vehicles. The dealership is very nice, and staffed by friendly employees. The truck was priced very well and it lead to minimum haggling inside. There was a bit of confusion over a certain rebate but it was cleared up quickly. I bought the truck and was extremely happy with it. They performed a few recalls on the truck and always gave me a loaner car and service with a smile. The service department is top notch as well; I had the truck serviced there with the free Toyota oil changes and they were always prompt and courteous. I don't live in the area anymore and recently bought a new vehicle after visiting around 10 dealers in my new area, which reminded me how nice it was to deal with Toyota of Pullman. read more

This was about a year or so ago. We went by to see if there was anything in the lot, thinking they were closed on Sundays and tried to leave only to be chased down. We'd had seen a couple of cars that were along the lines of what we were looking for so we went ahead and followed him inside. Told this kid what our price range was, and what we were wanting, specifically mentioned the two out in the lot. He totally ignored us and kept bringing out cars that were consistently 4-5K more than what we were able to afford, let alone what we wanted. He kept focusing on the "monthly" payments instead of the overall cost. We didn't care about the monthly payment, just the end price! Couldn't get that through his thick head. When we'd ask about the 2 cars we'd seen in the lot, he'd say what he was bringing out was a better deal. He'd also flipped out a bit about our trade in. Immediately had said it was a good trade in, very desirable car with features that would sell quick... then offered $500 for it. KBB value on the car was $4500 at the time and was in perfect mechanical condition. Between the insanely low-ball offer on our trade-in, this dude's inability to show us what we wanted to see, and him not listening to us at all, we walked after trying out 3 different cars. This kid called us back daily for about a week to see if we were coming back to buy one of the cars we'd test drove. We told him no, it was out of our price range. Kept pushing. Eventually my husband told him to stop calling and told him that we'd purchased a car in Spokane. When asked what it was, he told him and his response was "Well, I guess that's what you were looking for, wasn't it. Huh." Not to mention the dealership up there actually gave us most of the trade-in value for our car. Just sucks because now we're looking to get a bigger car because we're having another kid, and I saw a car there that I would like but I am refusing to go back because of how ridiculous our previous experience was. Plus there's not a lot of option in Pullman! Overall I felt like he did not absolutely give a crap about anything other than making more on his commission. Maybe if he'd actually listened to what we wanted, we would have bought a car! Stupid, because there was one that we would have gotten had he actually let us test drive it! read more

Haven't bought a car from them YET, however their customer service is incredible! I bought a pickup from rogers in lewiston, the pickup was not inspected properly and because of that, they missed a major fix. A month after I bought it the check engine light popped on, turns on I had no compression in TWO cylinders! Toyota of pullman offered to eat some cost to help with an engine repair, EVEN THOUGH I HAVE NEVER BOUGHT ANYTHING FROM THEM! Chris in sales and Daniel in service are awesome!
