When my partner's and my Toyota Yaris threw its transmission I thought we would be without a car for a long time. However thank goodness Cliff Smith saw our trouble. He worked with us to make something work. We now have a great 2016 Honda Tucson. It's the nicest car I've ever owned and I can't believe how much he made it work for us financially. I know I went in hesitant to buy a used car at a dealship. We went in knowing exactly what we can manage and what we needed from a new vehicle. He worked with us to meet and exceed all my checklist. Definitely have a loyal client now.

I called during the week and made an appointment for 9am on a Saturday. The wheel well plastic protector on one side of my car came completely off (I involuntarily went mudding). There was not many people in when I got there, which was fine with me. Jesse was quick to greet me and check me in. I still had the piece that needed to be re-attached so they took it on back to see if they could fix it. Roughly 45 min later, Jesse came over to where I was sitting, smiled, and handed me the keys "looks like we were able to re-attach, so all finished". Great, then I asked where I needed to pay. Jesse simply said "nope, no charge. Good to go". Just like that! Needless to say, I stared at him for a moment in disbelief. I even asked "are you sure?" Great service, made my day! I'll bring my car back for sure, and most likely buy a new one from Keith (he saw me looking at the shine cars) in the near future. Thanks guys!

I bought a new vehicle and rust bubbles started coming through the paint less than a month later. I was told it would be taken care of. Months later I'm still trying to get it fixed.

I reached out to The Hive Auto Repair, and from the very first conversation with Sivan, I felt completely at ease. They were able to get my son in quickly, which was a huge relief because he'll be on the road soon. During the oil change, Sivan and his team noticed a couple of things that needed attention and took care of them right away. I really appreciated how clear and honest they were throughout the process. As a mom, knowing there's a reliable place my son can go to if anything ever comes up means everything. I hope we don't have to go back anytime soon, but if we do, I'm glad to know The Hive is there. Great service, fast turnaround, and genuinely good people.

I spent over $4,000 for a new power steering pump, alignment, and they somehow found that my steering was still not straight (even though it was not an issue before) so they called me and told me everything they needed to do. Since I travel for work 5 days a week, I felt I had no choice but to let them continue and finish the service. When I brought the final cost and services to a different auto repair shop, they felt so bad for me for spending the money I did. That's when I knew I made a big, big mistake. They also don't have an issue pressuring you into making sure they get to work on your car. They want to overcharge and take advantage of people who have little to no car maintenance experience. They also take too long to get simple repairs done. I had my car dropped off for the above service. During that time, I needed to get a rental because they didn't have any loaner cars available (according to them). They promised me it would only take 2 days. I called every day for 4 days and then they changed the pick up day/time for the following day. Finally was ready. BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE!! I drove about 5 miles and started hearing noises as I drove on the main road. I took it back and they said my struts were worn out and they needed to be replaced. I asked them how did they not catch that during my initial service? They told me they didn't hear anything during the test drive and they didn't do anything to those parts of the car. BULLCRAP! They did a wheel alignment (or did they?). I took it to Les Schwab and they said my struts were fine that they were just loose and they did what they did for free and sent me on my way. My assumption for that is they want to take their sweet a$$ time so they can charge more for labor costs. So many issues with this crap auto repair company. I encourage anyone who is thinking of getting services done here to go elsewhere. Literally anywhere else in Moscow or Pullman. Heck, travel to Spokane/CDA if you have to. It will save you so much time, money and frustrations!

I was halfway home before I realized I didn't get a rough estimated time, so I called and she said best she could give was 5pm when they close. Roughly around 2pm the mechanic calls me and tells me that my car looks fine there was low oil so he filled that, thankfully they never tried to sell me something I didn't need, he filled my tires and fluids and said they'd call after they checked the engine code that kept coming on. News flash Mckenna never called, I called at 4:40 to just ask for my car back, she said "oh well it's been ready," to which I responded "okay so why wasn't I notified..?" to which she responded "well you shoulda gotten a text." I obviously didn't thus the reason I called- nevertheless there was supposed to be a phone call like they said there would be on two different accounts. I came to pick my car up and I got to my car they had left the windows down, who leaves someone's windows down?? As well the cars interior was visibly blackened from the mechanic, I have bright interior, they should have wiped it down if it was visibly much darker than before(they also make things like steering wheel covers and what not for these things), there was genuine grime on the doors, steering wheel, and seat as well as smudgy finge prints on my door. I'm overall extremely disappointment in this shop, if this was the last shop open and I needed my car seen asap- I'd just YouTube it and attempt to do it myself; I recommend going literally ANYWHERE else. Biggest waste of $104.

WARNING: DECEPTIVE PRACTICES I took my van to Mountain View…read moreauto after a road hazard incident that caused a catalytic converter code to be thrown. P0430 for catalytic converter insufficiency. I explained to Mountain View auto what happened and what I needed for my insurance company. When I went to pick up my quote, Roger accidentally deleted it and was working to create a new one. I had my nearly 2-year-old daughter with me, and she was getting quite fussy as I wasn't prepared to stay for a significant amount of time. Roger addressed many things that he felt were wrong with my van. However, not once did he address why I had brought my van into them in the first place. He emailed me a quote, as you'll see in the pictures, for all of this work that he said needed to be done. For some reason, on the quote it says "customer States that..." I never states any of it. I was angry that he did not address the initial issue. Instead, he said that I should return the Meineke as it may be under warranty. Well, this could be true, but I'm thinking that the warranty is likely not going to cover a road hazard. Regardless, my dad and I went to the next business day to get my van and take it over to Meinicke, as Roger had suggested. He was visibly angry about us doing this despite it being his recommendation. Within 30 minutes of assessing the van, Meineke had an answer for me . A hole had been torn in my flex pipe that leads to the catalytic converter. This was causing it to code P0430.. It may have caused catalytic converter damage as well. I will know more after the weekend. The photo below is a picture of my flex pipe off of my van where the damage occurred. Damage that Mountain View auto ultimately failed to see and assess. I am a single parent, a graduate student, and I work hard for my money when I can. I canceled an appointment to get my teeth fixed because it was more important to have a safe car for my daughter to be in than to fix my teeth. I cannot begin to express the level of anger that I have for this company trying to take advantage of a woman and a parent in the way that they have. I did ask Meineke to do a thorough investigation of the van to see if anything else needed to be done, and there is not. Of course, I will keep up with the preventative maintenance, but that is going to cost me far less than $2800. The catalytic converter, while spendy, is thankfully covered by my insurance under the incident. Roger should try padding his pocketbook by doing honest work instead of trying to take advantage of somebody who can barely afford the work.

I recently got a vehicle running after 6 years and took it to Meineke to check the brakes for safety. That was mid last week and I called today to learn it will be end of this week before it's looked at. That's 8 working days for a simple brake safety check. That will take an hour or less, even if the system needs brakes bled. Hmmm. Ok, to see if this is specific to Meineke or unavoidable right now, I called Schwab to schedule the same thing. They gave me a time appt in 1 day. They also double checked my records, gave me a rough estimate and discussed probable problems getting a vehicle back on the road. They put me in touch with a brake specialist, not the person at the front desk. They made sure they will be ready with inventory in stock. I changed the appt to Les Schwab. I do understand current workloads but waiting longer than 7 days for a TEST is a signal they don't really want to earn my steady business. Maybe they have too much business. This was my first experience with Meineke, closest to my house, and I get lots of advertisement from them. They are off my list.
