A couple of days prior, my check engine light came on so I went on my computer. This is where my adventure started yesterday with me making an appointment for today. I was able to get a 0700 appointment. Showed this morning and was first in line. The doors opened at 0700 as advertised and I pulled in and got out of my car. I was greeted by Jason and he asked if I had an appointment. I stated I did for 0700. He looked on the computer and couldn't find my appointment but went ahead and booked me in anyways. I was getting an oil change. I told him that and funny as it is he said I should get a transmission flush and a radiator flush that I was overdue. I just had to laugh and told him no. Funny thing was I literally just watched a YouTube video that talked about Service Writers will always try to upsell these two services because of the huge margins they make on them. I then went into their lobby to wait. They have a great lobby to wait in while you wait. In the morning they free coffee and pastries for customers who are waiting. After about an hour Jason came in and waved for me. I followed him back to his desk. I told him I had a coupon for the service, he was a little perturbed by that and lectured me about it not being presented when I came in. No big deal, finished the transaction and he told me my car was outback. I went out and got in my car. Whoever moved my car had to be a short person because I struggled to get in because they had the seat all the way up to the steering wheel. Finally got in the car and adjusted the seat and started the car. To my surprise my I look down and my "Check Engine " light is still on. My thought was I should go back in and show them but decided it wasn't worth the trouble. I'll definitely make them come out to the car next time before I leave. read more

I came to this Toyota Direct location for an oil change on Saturday, 10 August 2024. I drive a Toyota so I always enjoy coming back to a Toyota dealership. SERVICE -- Efficient and friendly. I waited for an hour in the large waiting room (typical time). It was a busy mid-Saturday morning so I'm glad I made an appointment. They do walk-in appointments too. Service was done in just under an hour. PRICE -- It cost $59.95 for a. synthetic oil change which is around the same price that other car dealerships charge unless you own a luxury vehicle. Infact, I've actually paid about $15 more at a non-Toyota car maintenance shop so I always just end up at Toyota for my car maintenance needs. I recommend this Toyota location. I appreciate how Toyota Direct looks out for your safety (and others) but is transparent and won't push unneeded service or repairs but does make recommendations and keep an eye out and timeline for vehicle maintenance. I had a recall on my Toyota Corolla concerning airbag functionality. I scheduled a repair with Toyota Direct as the business is reasonably close to my home. The scheduler was easy to work with and I was able to select the date and time that was most convenient. I received a follow up text with the appointment information. The night before the appointment, I dropped my car off. I was advised I would be contacted the following day once the recall was addressed. I received a text before lunchtime the next day advising that my car was ready. I went to go pick it up. I had a cracked taillight when I brought the car in. No one tried to pressure me into repairing it there which was appreciated. I picked up my car and drove home. Overall, this was a very simple and quick process. It did appear as though the service advisors were a bit busy at the kiosks as I stood awkwardly for several minutes both when dropping off and picking up the car. I wandered through the bay for a while though looking uncomfortable and eventually someone approached me. The technical aspect of scheduling, the service, and resolution was just fine though. read more

Got a simple oil change and a tire alignment that took nearly 3 hours to complete on a day that did not seem busy at all. no communication whatsoever on the status of my car the entire time and charged me an arm and a leg. Toyota was blowing me up about getting a recall issue fixed and Toyota Direct was the closest option for getting it taken care of. Scheduling the appointment was super easy and their staff was so nice and patient with me, even after a couple last minute reschedules. When I arrived the customer service was just as nice over the phone. The fella that helped me out was so helpful, explained everything to me, and assured me that it wouldn't take more than an hour, which it didn't. Thank goodness, because I brought my laptop to work on while I was there and their wifi was out. I don't know how people come here and wait for hours if they don't have any way to connect to the internet. That being said, their waiting room was legit. A fireplace, multiple televisions, an entire snack area with free popcorn, slushies, coffee, etc. There were also a few vending machines if you wanted something else. I appreciated the outdoor picnic tables as it was a beautiful day and I definitely took advantage of them. While I'm in no need to purchase a new vehicle and I have my own repair shop that I've been going to for seven years, if I needed a back up or body work, I would consider coming back. Toyota Direct Service lost my car keys and waited 2 days to tell me. Never apologized and tried to blame everything on AAA. They were handed to service desk directly! Had my car towed due to multiple indicator lights flashing lights. Car arrived just after 2pm on a Monday. Appt at 3. Call at 5:30pm to get status. Told we'll get a call back. Tuesday same story. No calls back. Wednesday call and ask if my car has been looked at yet - then they tell me it hasn't and they don't think the car is there. They turn it on tow company and knowing if they dropped at correct location. Calling AAA - they say it was dropped correctly. Go to Toyota Direct see car immediately and go inside. Learn they have lost the keys, which they blame on AAA. Multiple calls to AAA and the actual driver. Driver says he dropped at service desk, description of person. This is relayed to Toyota Direct, more waiting and magically keys are found. No one apologizes! I understand mistakes happen - why did no one call us back at anytime? What if the car wasn't actually there? We wouldn't have known for 2 days. We actually couldn't have been more understanding. The call center seemed like we were bothering them for checking and kept saying they have multiple locations. Google shows one address. I contacted Toyota Direct after calling many dealership for a Grand Highlander. I flew from MD to OH to purchase a vehicle after being contacted by a sales person. Upon getting to the dealership and telling the sales rep I had a check from Navy Federal Credit Union for the vehicle he told me his dealership doesn't deal with outside finance. He claimed the dealership had issues with title transition / delivery of some sort in the past.....OK! The dealership failed to mention anything about their outlier finance rules as I called 5 other dealership in the area which had no issues with accepting outside finance. However, my check was already made out to this particular dealership. When looking over the paperwork for the vehicle I noticed they had the MSRP for vehicle list over 2k more than what the vehicle cost. Once I brought the discrepancy to their attention they claimed someone put the wrong VIN on the paperwork....SURE! Clearly these guys are operating under some predatory practices. During my drive from OH back home to MD the vehicle started to smoke like crazy, to come find out this wonderful establishment didn't properly to do their inspection of vehicle upon delivery. There was no oil cap on the vehicle which allowed all the oil to be sprayed everywhere underneath the hood. After having to spend the night in WV on my dime, then have a brand new vehicle serviced also on my dime. The dealership told me if I wanted to be compensated I would have to take it up with Big Toyota. The sales person stop responding to my text, and the managers didn't return calls after leaving messages. Avoid Toyota Direct at all costs! I took my car in on March 7, and they falsely claimed I put the wrong gas (E85) in my tank. I asked for proof multiple times, and they refused to provide any test results. Then, they tried to charge me hundreds of dollars for a service I never authorized. When I escalated the issue to Toyota Corporate, they suddenly changed their tune and let me take my car back without paying a cent. Why was I being charged at all if the fee was suddenly "waived" after reporting them? To make matters worse, the service manager Joey Ronk was extremely rude and condescending, especially toward my immigrant father. She spoke to us loudly and slowly, as if we didn't understand English. When I questioned their scam tactics, they threatened to call the police on me for no reason. Brought my fleet vehicle in to be serviced for it 35,000 mile checkup. I've usually received prompt service when arriving but this time time it was different. Once I pulled into the service bay, I stood around for awhile waiting for someone to help me. It didn't appear very busy so I wasn't sure why no one was helping. I finally got directed to a service rep and they got me checked in. I have been having issues with my CarPlay Navigation on my RAV4 so I showed the rep a video of what it is doing. Their response was that he wasn't sure what they could do about it. Surprised at his comment, I replied, "if you aren't sure what can be done, who would? " He proceeds to tell me that the guy who needs to see it was leaving soon and that I would need schedule a day when the car could be here all day for someone to take a look at it. ALL DAY?! Within the 1.5 years that we had it, it stalled 5 times, twice after we had spent over $2000 to fix it, and once in 95 degree heat in the middle of a busy intersection! We did not feel safe nor comfortable driving in a car that could stall at any moment, so we decided to trade in and get a more reliable car. We assumed thecae was just a "lemon" and its purchase just an unlucky experience. We returned to Toyota Direct, assuming they would give up a better trade in value for a car that they had sold us just 2 1.5 years before. Wrong!! They offered only $6,000 ( KBB was $7,200). We finally got them up to $6,600 and we had decided on a 2018, Toyota Prius that had had a single owner, flawless Carfax, and had been well maintained (all service had been done, the interior and exterior looked almost brand new. We were excited to drive a reliable car even though our new loan was a lot because it included the negative equity from the Audi. However, too happy, too soon. The next day, the engine light came on! We had to replace a sensor and an air filter, $ 110. not a huge deal, but we just got the car the day before! today, 6 weeks with the car, it's leaking oil! My husband popped the hood to discover that there is oil all over the engine and there is no oil cap! I mean, WTH!!! Easy fix, buy an oil cap, but the point is that we should't HAVE to do it! I get it that both car were listed as "no Warranty" and we had accepted that once we purchased them, but is it too much to ask that the cars are at least checked for the basics, like caps, running ok? If I could leave zero stars, I would. I had several discussions with Jeff Kazee regarding the purchase of a new car. We agreed on a price, which I confirmed multiple times in writing prior to making the 2+ hour drive to the dealership. Upon arrival, Jeff completely backtracked on our agreement, claiming, "I wasn't the one who promised that price," and blamed the sales manager for the terms we had finalized the night before. I bought a brand new Toyota Corolla from them in November 2025. They left the plastic door open to access the oil drain plug. Needless to say it dragged and was damaged by the road. When I took it back in they said this is the way all Toyotas are, that always happens. So disappointing that they do not honor their warranty or fix their mistakes. Especially when it is a $5 part. Your columbus Ohio dealerships are denying me a $500 military rebate. Yet your rebate policy includes military dependents, who have never "served" on active duty, never deployed, never showed allegiance to their military spouses when they were deployed during wartime. If you offer a military rebate, why not include all veterans who served honorably. It's discrimination. If this doesn't get fixed, I will be forced to file a discrimation complaint against Toyota. Noticed a decitful marketing tactic by this dealership to bury honest negative reviews with decietful tactics and posting obviously false positive review to bring up their rating one more very valid reason to avoid theese lying crooks at all cost! After almost 2 months of VERY EXPENSIVE and very inconvenient, appointments and phone calls we left the service department without having the 1 issue we initially came in for being resolved sadly. Initially we took our 2013 Toyota Sienna in to their (dis)"service" center and even provided Jake with autozone code print outs and asked him to fix our pressure system calling up a bad evap sensor. Simple request seemingly for a trustworthy honest quality service center to take care of you would think especially when the diagnosis is already provided. Unfortunately this has cost me more time money and energy than I would have ever anticipated. After they kept the vehicle for 3-4 days they replaced the brakes per their recommendation and swapped a serpentine belt and claimed the evap code would fix itself if we replaced the gas cap. One would assume that any halfway-competent technician would verify this before blindly suggesting it to a respectable customer. We brought the vehicle home with the check engine light still on and $1400.00 spent on the technician's (Jake) recommended repairs. Then spent $40 or so on a gas cap to test his theory only to find that the issue was worst than they could see initially (imagine that, as if they don't have the professional experience they'd like you to hope/think that they do...) so after we wasted money on the gas cap we then try calling to get ahold of a manger to speak with and politely point out that we weren't happy that the single cause for our reasons for coming innot Toyota direct service center wasn't properly diagnosed the first time. We get told by a representative that no one is available and someone would call us back before the end of the day. We NEVER RECIVED A CALLBACK THAT DAY OR ANY DAY. Even after calling them to schedule an appointment for 6 weeks we got told 2-3 times a week for six weeks either the technician would call us back personally and further explain his reasons for the misdiagnosis or a manager would reach out by the end of the day 12-14 different times we called back over 6 weeks of wasted time and energy out of my wife's busy schedule as a school assistant director and my work schedule. Finally we get an appointment scheduled with a new representative and bring the car back in on my wife's first day off in 3+ months and they so generously "waive" the ridiculous DIAGNOSTIC FEE and passively apologize for the "miscommunication" that's transpired the last month in a half and take a look then they come back and say they found the issue and it's an additional $600 repair. I spoke to Jeremy the manager and tried explaining to him the sheer amount of money and time it's cost us trying to find out why they didn't fix it the first time when I know because I told them what the issue was and it was the only reason we sought out their services in the first place Jeremy said that he didn't see the issue and didn't want to fix something that wasn't broken. I'm only assuming the only reason for this answer is dishonesty, incompetence, laziness or all three coupled with a huge cost of unwanted repairs and inconvenience (time/money) on my wife's car that she needs to shuttle our young and hardworking family. Please avoid this racket of a service center at all cost and seek honesty reliable professional help and save your money. I hope this helps honest hardworking people like ourselves and wish we could have avoided this terrible engagement we've found ourselves into. They moved their used car inventory down the street...I recently purchased a car from Dakota at Direct Drive (used car brand) I found 2 cars online that I was interested in and called to inquire. I spoke with Dakota and set an appointment to see the cars. Cars were ready to test drive when I arrived. Dakota was super honest about what he knew about the car I was leaning towards. We came to a fair deal without a lot of the haggle and "let me talk to my manager" garbage that usually happens when buying a car. They had to do the detailing and fix a small maintenance issue so I picked up the next day. Dakota went with me to the car to make sure it was in good shape before sending me on my way. I went to the dealership the 1st time, and found the 2 vehicles from the chat. Neither one held my interest due to condition. Trip wasted when all I wanted was a call to see if they where at the dealership. Trying again via chat from the dealership lot, I was addressing my issue with lack of contact, and was told a manager would be calling me. Everything is slow and delayed. I was so happy when I bought the car because the process was smooth. Until my temporary tag is almost expired and told me they can't issue the temp registration and told me I need to go to BMW to ask for extension. So much hassle! I was not quite feeling that vibe this week when my boyfriend & went to the used car lot at Toyota Direct to purchase him a new (to him) car. Buying a car is always a tedious game of poker for the salesman & purchaser--both wanting to get the best deal for themselves. But salesmen need to know their audience. When you show up for a specific used vehicle you found online--you're obvi there to deal for that car in particular. The purchaser has done their research and knows what they want and that's they reason they walked into your showroom. The gentleman who we met with was a little bit too snarky for my liking for me & did not make this a memorable car buying experience. Maybe he knew we were there for this certain car and just wanted to make the sale & get it over with. Maybe he was having a bad day. Regardless, I won't judge too hard but he's not a salesman I'd ever reco for someone going in to explore Toyota or used car opportunities without a certain car in mind. All in all, it was an okay interaction & my boyfriend got the car he wanted. I had the displeasure of dealing with CJ. Out of state buyer trying to buy a car. I was trying to make a deal with him and after pleasantly going back and forth, I told him about other cars I might be potentially looking at and he ended the conversation with a very rude "Our company doesn't care." This place charged me $180 for a diagnostic after my Prius stalled out. They told me my car had "bad gas" in the tank resulting from the gas station mixing the gasoline incorrectly and they would need to take out my gas tank and flush it. They quoted me close to $1,000.00. Their diagnostic sounded made-up to me, so I chose to take my car to another mechanic for a second look. Sure enough, a component of the electric system needed to be replaced and my car never had "bad gas". I was lucky I was only ripped off of $180 instead of what could have been a couple thousand dollars for work that never needed to be done. I'm not taking my car here anymore. read more

TLDR: Don't come here if you actually want your problem diagnosed correctly. Karley has a long way to go with courtesy and customer service skills, Mindy inserts herself into conversations. Cliff is the only guy at the place who cares about anyone or anything. Every time I come to this place they can never correctly diagnose my car. At this point I should learn my lesson and not come here. The staff are pretty rude, specifically Mindy and Karley Bowers. Karley will try to replace things in your car that do not need replaced and is very condescending in her customer service attempts. The girl employees stand around the desks and talk about customers in a negative way and it made me feel uncomfortable knowing that they probably talked about me like that when I left. Jeremy tried to care as a manager, but did not succeed. I came in March for my AC and they made me replace the dials (didn't need replaced) but it turns out my compressor was bad the whole time. He couldn't do anything for me bc he didn't know why I didn't come back immediately. Maybe bc it was March and I didn't need my AC/ couldn't tell if it was working? What a cop out answer for someone who doesn't want to take accountability for his employees poor judgement. Well I had to pay 1300 for the dials that didn't need replaced and 1500+ for the compressor. The only nice guy who cares about customers that works here is Cliff. Can't say I'll be coming back to this location though, they don't deserve your money. Sad it took me several times to realize it. Will be posting reviews elsewhere! read more

Scheduled an oil change and their techs took over two hours. Service writer (Randy) was nice but inept as he could not not print out my paperwork (which I need for my company vehicle) so I called back two days later. After three calls and reaching Randy's full voicemail, I still can't not receive an emailed receipt. I will not shop (I purchased a 2017 Tundra) or use this service moving forward. And since this is a company vehicle, I'm not paying for the service but they are so bad, I won't be back. read more
