A friendly place with good food. If you come for lunch or dinner, alone or with family or friends, you will have a positive dining experience here. The food is plentiful and good, with fresh ingredients, served by friendly wait staff. Parking is plentiful, and there are booths and tables. Liquor is served, as is wine. I've eaten here about a dozen times, and I have yet to buy a beer, wine, or cocktail. The diner is handicapped-accessible. This is the BEST low key diner near Mount Arlington. My friend and I came here after we missed the hotel brunch after a wedding. It is clean, pretty, well staffed, great service and DELICIOUS. We got the matzo ball soup and split and omelette and Benedict. HIGHLY recommend. read more

I ordered my usual: GF french toast w/ fresh fruit. Today the order came out and it looked very flat & greasy (oily). I asked the waitress if this was definitely GF. She assured me that it was and started to play it down as "that's the problem with gluten free"... I assured her that I always order this and today it looks terrible and is very soggy in an oily, greasy way. She offered to get me a new order of it. At first I declined but after two more small bites I asked her to please put in a new order. The new order was brought to me by the owner. He asked my to try it. Again, it was flat & greasy/soggy. He blamed it on the bread. I don't agree and told him. I pointed out that there's no reason for the french toast to be soggy in a greasy, oily way, because of the bread. I ate the fruit and didn't eat any more of the F.T. The bill came. The F.T. was on there (I was a bit surprised & disappointed) so I brought it home to see if maybe, just maybe, it would be a little better if I toasted it. No such luck. Very disappointed today. Lots if variety here. Salad is decent and the onion soup is tasty. They also serve alcohol which is unusual for a diner. Nice servers. My only complaint is that the food is never hot. The baked potatoes are always lukewarm. Perhaps they need heat lamps? read more

VERY BAD MANAGEMENT! When I received my food there were several short curly hairs resting on the top of my cheese on my tuna melt. I totally lost my appetite after seeing this! I never took one bite. I immediately notified my waitress and she took the meal away. When I got to the register to pay for the other items we ordered the meal with the hair in it was still on the bill. I notified them and they refused to take it off the bill . They didnt even apologize and were VERY rude and unreasonable told me not to come back. VERY BAD MANAGMENT!!! read more

I remember this place as a kid and let me just say i wasn't a big fan of it so when my boyfriend and i came back into town and he said why don't we go to the diner near shop-rite i was scared to eat there. the first thing i noticed when i walked in was WOW! everything looks great! they got a "make-over" and it really does looks great. the food taste better and even the staff seems to enjoy working there. Ate here for lunch b/c of the 4star review. Conveniently off I-80 Rt 15 S. We were greeted and seated by the hostess promptly. The place was very clean and shiny with mirrors reflecting back light from the windows. Several flat screen tvs were tuned to the Olympics w/the volume turned off. Our waitress was very pleasant, attentive and friendly. My husband ordered the cheeseburger, son ate pastrami sandwich and I got the NEw Yorker (Corned beef and Pastrami, melted swiss, mustard on panini). Food came quickly. Husband complained burger was too charred for his liking, and son said pastrami was greasy ands soaked through the bread and couldnt pick it up. The New Yorker was ok. The portions were big, so we eneded up doggie bagging remainder half. Prices were decent. Go to their website and show them 10% coupon and they'll deduct it from your bill. read more

This is my favorite diner in New Jersey. I've been here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on several occasions. Their eggs benedict is absolutely delicious. Another favorite of mine is the steak & cheddar panini. Service is always fantastic. Place gets very busy, so I take comfort in knowing the food is always fresh. Diner is standard fare. I have had great meals here and some mediocre meals here. Our most recent trip was this past Monday. I got the Greek Salad with chicken. It was good but I wish that the lettuce was a little more green than just the yellow parts. My wife and I had to return our iced teas because they tasted off. Two weeks ago when I ate here the iced tea was great. I have eaten here breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfasts are always good. Lunch and dinner can be hit or miss. New to the area so we wanted to try out this diner. I had the Lemon Greek Chicken, they give you the smallest pieces of chicken that has all bones (more bones than meat) it tasted most of oregano with no taste of lemon at all. my husband had the spaghetti and meatballs, his 2 huge meatballs were raw in the middle, sauce was way to sweet. Didn't really care for the decor, mirrors on the wall and when you look into them you can see people behind you eating or staring at you. Our waitress was nice enough but I'm guessing game she was new, when we ordered she asked me what came with my meal (and proceeded to.ask me where it was on the menu). We went around 9. The guy gave us the dirtiest look. Sorry. Yes, I know it was Xmas eve but YOU were the ones that said you were open. If you didn't want any customers than you should have closed earlier. The food is okay. The food at this place is definitely better now than it was years ago. How a diner that's been in business for however long they've been around can't CORRECTLY cook hashbrowns or two eggs over easy is beyond me. Friendly waitress, but the hashbrowns were not browns at all, they were shredded mashed potatoes essentially. The eggs over easy were basically raw underneath. Saw the great reviews and decided to stop in. There is a page of cocktails on the menu, so I chose one. A Grey Goose Martini with pineapple juice. Couldn't taste the vodka at all. Decent enough diner but the location stinks, you have to drive around for a u-turn on 15 and it's a busy road so that can add a lot of time to your trip. Food is solid but nothing spectacular, service was pretty good. Can't really complain. read more

I've been to about 20 diners in NJ/NY/etc. This isn't the worst, but it's not nearly the best. Their eggs (which is what I tend to order in diners) are spongy and relatively tasteless. The place is clean though and the staff is nice. But their eggs, man... sponges. My wife ordered steamed vegetables and they were clearly just a freezer pack that had been reheated. Which makes sense, I guess, because it's a diner and most people don't order steamed vegetables there. read more

Staff seemed untrained. Food was lacking. We ordered mozzarella sticks that came warm on a bed of brown gooey lettuce. My wife ordered an omelet with fries and toast. The omelet was over cooked, the toast was more like butter bread and the fries were soggy. I ordered the Kota panini it was not pressed or toasted enough, soggy, overstuffed.
