The place has the vintage flavor I am looking for in a diner. The menu has a great selection of plates and cuisines. I had a Portabello Mushroom Burger with sweet potato fries. Really good! read more

Townsquare Diner - Diners Near Me - Wharton, New Jersey

Just had breakfast here, for the second time. I won't be going back, because NOTHING was good. Coffee: meh. Tastes like they're diluting it to save money. Maybe I'm just used to Starbucks, but weak diner coffee is not worth the money. I didn't even finish the cup; I ended up going to Dunkin Donuts to get some actual caffeine afterward. Fruit cup: gross. Melon might be in season, but not this melon. Some of it was crunchy, some of it tasted off. The grapes were soft. This might very well be the worst fruit cup I've ever had. Omelet: tasted off. Rancid? Used rancid butter? Also, it was dry and overcooked. And they made it thin and spread out, I guess to cover the huge plate, instead of making it thicker and, oh, I don't know, maybe NOT DRY? I had to add salt & pepper to make it edible, and I regret actually eating it. Toast: also tasted off. Maybe it's the butter that's rancid. Also, I asked for "whole wheat", but got "over-the-top-multigrain-full-of-seeds". I didn't finish this either. The service was good, and the diner looks nice and was clean, but food it kind of an important part of the diner experience. How hard is it to serve a fresh, well-cooked, tasty breakfast? read more

We come here often, the food is usually pretty on target. There's been a few times it's just been OK. But for the most part it's a very good diner. Friendly service. read more

We travel from Brooklyn upstate with some frequency and we stopped off at this place once, and after that we've made it a tradition. A really nice traditional diner, reasonable prices, food that's reliably good, and always cheerful service. We all like it and I recommend it. read more

Ordered contactless delivery and our food showed up quick and still hot with all the condiments we needed. Everything was delicious and hit the spot! read more

Service is quick. Waiters/waitresses always friendly. Damn good cup of coffee. Generous portions. Best Taylor ham sandwich in Morris county. Lots of meat and perfect char. read more

Love that this place is open late and serves delicious cocktails! Service is polite and friendly too! Huge menu! We've never had any complaints! read more

Stopped for a late lunch, great for service but poor for food quality. Deli Sloppy Joe sandwich was made with stale rye bread, dry and tasteless roast beef, very dry turkey, exceedingly bland Cole Slaw and a microscopic amount of Russian Dressing. Had to send my sandwich back twice requesting FRESH bread...took 3 tries for fresh bread. Onion rings were very good. If the waitress hadn't comped my sandwich I would have given 1 star. read more

Good food good service. I will definitely return. They even have free cookies at the register

I decided to try this little diner out when I saw the check-in discount. I'm glad I did. I've eaten here a half dozen times already. Mixed experience here. The food is pretty good...pretty consistent. The staff, however is a hit or miss. Most of the wait staff are courteous, but sometimes you get someone grumpy. I mean, if you don't want to be here, you shouldn't have came in to work! Same goes for the manager. There's an older gentleman at night that doesn't want to be bothered. On the other hand, there's a younger (40s) manager who is always upbeat and friendly, greeting everyone with a smile. Of the diners I've been to here in Morris county, this one is definitely above average. I will definitely be back. My favorite is their Chili burger. Of course anything with eggs off their breakfast menu is a safe bet as well. Tip: Mimosas are overpriced. Three sips and it's gone! read more

Okay, wow. The dead Canada goose in the parking lot that's been there for two weeks didn't do much for my appetite. When I sat down, things didn't improve much. My friend ordered a burger that looked gray and sad instead of medium. My salad was not unlike one you'd find in a school cafeteria. I know this is diner food and not to be too picky, but this is NJ, the diner capitol of the world. We can do better and in such a key location as this, customers deserve better. And someone call animal control and get rid of that dead animal in the parking lot! read more

Townsquare Diner - This is the booth where I ate the salad that I wish I didn't eat. - Diners Near Me - Wharton, New Jersey

Excellent service by Kylie. Had the "Dana bowl" at her recommendation and was not disappointed! Lots of flavor, more than I could eat.

Gave this place 3 chances. NEVER AGAIN 1st time, not a lot of people and waitress was no where to be seen had to get up and get my own refills 2nd time order was wrong and service slow as ever 3rd time HAIR IN MY food and waiter looked high I rather travel a few miles down the rd to Jefferson diner. This place needs to get their act together read more

Tonight is Thursday and I just got my state income tax return Thinking about it I wanted a prime rib dinner I looked it up and they only have specials for the prime rib dinner on Wednesday. the last one was the "best I ever ate" I can wait till next Wednesday read more

If I could leave 0 starts I would... food was terrible , the steak was disgusting, it tasted like it was watered down in dirty water and they charged me for 2 eggs although I didn't even ate them. The waiter was terrible. She never asked what we needed or came to check on us. She had a nasty and rude attitude! Who treats customers like that? Never again.... read more

A good selection of food, like every good diner should have. We had both the breakfast food. They offer Taylor ham, which you need to try when visiting New Jersey. The French toast was good, and so was the French toast panini Taylor ham, egg, and cheese. Finally, the next day we had the excellent bacon, egg, and cheese on a hard roll. Good service as well. The burgers that others were eating looked pretty good as well. read more

Great diner. Yelp didn't steer us wrong in helping to pick this diner. The Sunday Special: Prime Rib was HUGE!!! You get lots of food for the value. Clean, and extremely well kept but beware they have mirrors everywhere. ;-). GREAT STAFF TOO!! read more

This diner is what it is. Nothing special...there are better and there are worse. What it is...is convenient. So when I met a friend there for coffee and ordered an apple turnover, I was horribly surprised to see it full of mold. The waiter didn't seem too upset, and when I suggested he remove the rest of them from the display, he didn't. His only comment of note was that he took it off our bill. Really? The whole meal (just coffee and dessert) should have been comped, but that's my feeling. read more

Townsquare Diner - I don't think a caption is needed. - Diners Near Me - Wharton, New Jersey

We loved this place! Ownership is very involved and it shows. We were camping down the road at Mahlon Dickerson and had our small dog with us. They allowed us to eat on the patio (if we were discreet) which we were. We ate twice there during our visit and both times the food was fresh and prepared well. The hubs proclaimed the chicken parm excellent, and I enjoyed the fried sea scallops. When you eat fried food, you can tell when oil is changed regularly. Our fried food (scallops and french fries) were lightly fried to perfection and fresh. The challah bread to die for. The first night we ate there, I left my purse under the table. Didn't even realize it until the next afternoon!!! Called them and immediately, the gal on the phone said, "I'm so glad you called!". Apparently, my purse stayed outside overnight under the table on the patio and the next morning another customer found it and turned it in. Wow. And I have to mention our wonderful waiter, Adrian. Delightful young man! He is getting great training at Townsquare. We travel to this area annually and we will definitely be going back. read more

We went there for supper and I ordered the corned beef and cabbage, the corned beef was about 70% fat, I don't like to send things back so I cut the fat off. This meal was almost $22.00, I think that was a lot of money for this type of meal. read more

Loved meeting the Townsquare Diner family there. Food was great selection of diner food, so no surprises there. I'll come back before a Costco trip soon. read more

My husband and I had a really nice lunch. The egg omelettes were fresh and tasty. The coffee was delicious and the service good.

We are in Dover for the month of June 2014 staying in a hotel down the street from this place. We have had breakfast, lunch and dinner here over the last two weeks and they never miss. The food is always perfect who could ask for more. read more

My favorite diner in an area crowded by diners. Reasonable prices and excellent food, great service, too. Tremendous omelets and great French toast. Best diner in Rockaway area. read more

Slowest service ever. 3 tables were filled and we got order 23 minutes after because our waiter said there was only 1 chef working. Granted it was later in the evening (10pm) not really acceptable for a diner type establishment. Cheesesteak meat was super dry. Won't be coming back read more

My boyfriend decided to take me here on a brunch date on a Sunday morning. Easy parking. We were seated quickly and the waiter was polite. He asked us what we wanted to drink and I asked what type of iced coffees there were, and I chose caramel, though I got plain. No big deal, it still was good coffee that was brewed in-house and did the job. I went on to order a New Yorker, me being from Long Island, though raised in Queens, being very critical about diner food ESPECIALLY my sandwiches. I ordered it with added sauerkraut, russian (they put usually mustard on it, I don't know why) on a hero instead of rye. It was pretty good for Jersey food. It was warm and made just as I requested, the server not having to write it down to get the order correct. My boyfriend got his usual french toast and they had their own recipe that he liked. We left happy and full. read more

Great place for all day breakfast ! Big portions! They have so many options for every meal but breakfast being my favorite..they have a lot of types of pancakes and waffles. I want to go back now! They have yummy challlah bread that comes with your dinner. The hash browns are yummy and everything is made fresh. My friend loved her omelette and they let her sub fries instead of hash browns and they were so good. Service was decent. They give you a 10% discount when you check in on yelp. Breakfast menu is cheap! I'll be going back more often ! read more

There are several diners in the area but this is, by far, the best! They have excellent food for great prices and the nicest staff.

We went here because of the fast service and reasonable prices. We were not disappointed! We often travel to this area and look forward to this being the new place to meet! read more

1. The cup had lipstick on it 2 The homefries were buttery and tasteless 3. The eggs were underdone 4. Belgium waffle wasn't bad but you can't really mess that up. 5. Waited entirely too long after asking for the check . Overall experience was not good and will not be going there again. read more

We had a very nice waitress and the food was pretty good but the manager was kind of rude and we also found it weird we couldn't order a mimosa until 10am. We ordered at 9:50 and he refused. Overall decent diner. read more

Been here quite a few times now. Good family business. Never had a bad meal here. Everything from they're breakfasts to their soup of the day has that delicious homemade flavor. Today I ordered stuffed cabbage and it was delicious! I was in a party of 10 and the orders ranged from omelettes to chopped steak to fried shrimp. Everyone had a great meal and the waitresses were very attentive always checking on us and filling up drinks. Love this diner! read more

The food quality is way below average, over cooked and disgusting. Personally, I will never return to this place. read more

The food is very good especially for breakfast. The service is lacking, our server had the personality of a wet pice of cardboard.I went a few Sundays ago ,it was frustrating because I could see him in the mirrors just hanging out. After taking a while for him to first come to the table, it took him awhile to come back with coffee then to get the order. The food took awhile & he never once came back over to refill our coffee or to check on us. After asking for the check he walked back over to where he had been standing most of the time he finally dropped the check. While we appreciated no being rushed , it was pretty ridiculous to wait for everything. read more

My new favorite diner. Clean. Friendly. Great service. Best of all... GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS! The coffee was good too. Prices are very reasonable. read more

Get the breakfast! This Diner has a a few things going for it. 1. It is super clean. 2. The breakfast is great. 3. The service is usually pretty good. That being said, the rest of their food seems to be okay. Its not bad, just nothing to get excited about. As I said their Breakfast choices are always good. Scrambled eggs, Bacon (sometimes under cooked) and French toast are my favorites. Their French toast is pretty damn good and that is usually what I get. The staff is friendly and service is usually on point. Overall a decent diner experience but kind of lost in the ocean of Diners that already flood Northern NJ. read more

A friendly place with good food. If you come for lunch or dinner, alone or with family or friends, you will have a positive dining experience here. The food is plentiful and good, with fresh ingredients, served by friendly wait staff. Parking is plentiful, and there are booths and tables. Liquor is served, as is wine. I've eaten here about a dozen times, and I have yet to buy a beer, wine, or cocktail. The diner is handicapped-accessible. This is the best place for a meal, with better food than you will be served at many places in the nearby Rockaway Mall. The Townsquare Diner also has very good Greek specialties. read more
