    Dubai pancake
    Pamela L.

I started coming to this restaurant when it first opened (around 1990) because of the muffin tops, menu selections, complimentary mini size bakery basket and food quality being consistently good. When the area developed (high rise apartments and Oracle Park) parking became insane. The restaurant and area lost its charm, so I stopped coming. So when I happened to be in this neighborhood, I decided to try the restaurant and see what changes were made. The only difference inside of the restaurant is that the bakery area is now replaced with a bar. The small pastry display looked pitiful. The pastries didn't look appealing - muffins were below the cup line topped with sugar sprinkles and the slices of cake look like it was just sitting there. Other than that, the decor looked the same. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was greeted by a friendly server and sat at a table with complete views of the bay.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food was served temperature hot with a smile. Server came frequent to see how I was doing and if I needed anything. The Dubai chocolate pancake was absolutely delcious. It looks awfully sweet but it wasn't. The pancakes were fluffy with nice brown bottoms. Presentation was awesome. I definitely would order this again. The chicken fried steak was good but needed more gravy. The server bought me a bowl of gravy and once I had that, it was more delicious. The gravy was homemade, creamy with bits of sausage. The over easy eggs were cooked perfectly - not too runny nor hard. The hash browns were the best I had for a long time - it wasn't greasy and was crispy as I like it (I did ask for crispy hash browns) - not overcooked or dry. The muffin was too floury and dense for me. It was not what I remembered it to be - fluffy, soft insides with a semi crispy outside. Overall, if you are in this neighborhood, give the restaurant a try. The food is just as good as I remembered it 15 plus years ago but I would definitely would not recommend the bakery goods.

Townsend is one of my few go-to's. They have a reliable brunch with great options. Everyone I take here loves it; every dish is great. The food always comes out quickly, and the servers are on their A-game. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are a lot of tables inside and a few outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The theme is the Giants. Cool spot[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Great small local brunch spot! Never heard of it but stopped by after a 5k run. Had to wait about 30-40 minutes on a weekend but not bad cause the area is great for waiting if the weather is nice. The portions are HUGE and I got the chicken fried steak. It was SO SO SO delicious and tender, typically I only eat about half of brunch plates but I ate the whole thing. The hash browns were also very delicious. Prices aren't bad either! I need to come back again.

Eggs Benedict with bacon and avocado
    Apryl P.

Food was ok, the hollandaise on my eggs Benedict was cold and congealed-very disappointing. Hashbrowns were completely burnt on the bottom so I was only able to scrape off the top layer. The bacon was chopped up into tiny pieces making a very chewy consistency, I prefer crispy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was ok, but it was so loud in the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Waitress asked if I wanted a 2nd mimosa, I said no thank you and she brought one anyway. Very convenient location before the game. Probably won't be back.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Basic breakfast spot with a beautiful location.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]My husband ordered food and I just wanted a coffee while sitting outside enjoying the nice weather, view and crisp air.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Waitress said the cappuccino was very good, so I ordered one thinking let's keep this morning simple. The coffee was not only awful but cold. Big disappointment didn't even have the energy to complain or ask for another one.

Came here for brunch before a Giants game with a pretty big group. The service was speedy, and I really appreciate that they bring out everyone's food around the same time. I got the montecristo waffle and a mango mimosa. The food was alright, in line with your typical diner food. The chicken and potatoes were blander than I had hoped, and the jam really didn't help the dish and was kinda just thrown on in a big glob - I would ask for no jam if I got this again. Overall a solid spot if you're trying to eat before the game, but I wouldn't really recommend it otherwise.

Came here on a Saturday morning before a day in SF. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Got to sit outside where they have a few outdoor tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was great and the food was solid. Got an omelette plate and it was tasty. The hash browns were crispy and got sourdough toast for the combo. All the food was solid and the service was quick.

Date: Sunday, June 8th, 2025 Time: 10am Party of: 3 Meal: Breakfast / Brunch Reservation Made: via Yelp about 2.5 weeks prior *GLS Sparkling Wine ($10) x2 *Granola & Yogurt ($12) *Side Bacon ($5) *Ale Battered Fish And Chips ($18) *Chicken Cobb Salad ($18) The hubby and I were going to a Giants game with a friend of mine. We wanted to make it for the promo item, so we decided to meet up for brunch first. We got here right on time and waited about 5 mins for our table. I wanted some veg, so got the salad. It had a good amount of toppings, tho I did ask for them to put the blue cheese on the side and they did not. I didn't mind, but I was sharing the salad with the hubs and he doesn't like blue cheese. That was the only bummer. Otherwise they gave it to me with ranch on the side like I asked. Close enough to the park to have a meal and walk over. REVIEW #3785

    Combo breakfast
    Nishtha C.

Went for a sunday brunch. I got the orange juice, which was definitely freshly squeezed and husband got the peruvian latte, which was also amazing. I got the combo for breakfast with waffle. The waffle was way too salty for my taste but everything else was quite good. Husband got crab cake benedict, which he enjoyed a lot but didn't like the house potatoes as much coz they were very unevenly good. Overall a good experience with some flaws.

Wow!! How did i not know this place was here. I can't tell you how many times I've walked pass this place when having my daily morning walk along the Embarcadero. My husband and I came here to try some breakfast and boy was it good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outside since it was a beautiful day out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was great too. I got your traditional breakfast and my husband went for something healthy. Everything was delicious and I look forward to coming back and trying their lunch.

Asked for crispy welcome hash-brown and got it exactly as i wanted. Yum

Went to this place on our morning city stroll. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Love the location! Very neat place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were seated immediately and it was busy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved early morning giggle and chatters and the customers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is a fresh juice bar with veggies and fruits meaning their juice is truly fresh squeezed. Our server was awesome. My husband and I were speaking in our manager and she picked on a few words. A very friendly person and awesome hostess. Kept checking on us. The food was yummy and portions are big. I couldn't finish my breakfast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a very welcoming and friendly environment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Planning to take my kids here soon.

My party and I were seated quickly. Service took alittle longer than usual due to a large work lunch party taking place. Menu is large and even has options for vegetarians. Server was kind and kept making sure we had what we needed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean environment, cheerful atmosphere and kind service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Prices can be a bit steep but it is San Francisco.

    Veggie omelette
    Ria B.

Little did I know this was gonna be one of the best acai bowls in the city! There ample amount of fruits granola and peanut butter and the acai was not blended with other additives just to stretch it out. And the whole thing was around $12! Which is such a steal! Veggie omelette was also solid, well salted and over flowing delicious cooked veggies! Service took a while but it was a Saturday morning so you're not expecting it to be fast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's right next to Embarcadero, beautiful location.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good amount of seating inside too![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Do you need a reservation for Sundays? If none are available, should we find another spot or do you have bar seating or other options?

You can add yourself to our wait list in case there are no more reservations available .

Sam I work in the ballpark and during weekdays can I come in late like 1:50?

Our kitchen closes at 2 PM, as long as you place your order before 2 you should be fine.

    Do you offer vegan options?

    Yes of course. Many options.

Looks like just about the same name but new owners? I was obsessed with the previous place... so big shoes to fill. Do you do veggie sausage or veggie bacon? 🙏🏽

No Veggie Bacon or Sausage but there are many Veggie options.

This place was included on a list of Sunday brunch recommendations. I had seen other fellow Elite Yelpers recommending it, so I wanted to try it. We had the French toast sticks, very good, as well as the classic breakfast dish, my partner had the breakfast burrito. Both dishes were decent, but we were there for the company mostly. The restaurant was quaint and cute, more compact, but had a secondary overflow area in a separate part of the restaurant. There were restrooms on both side, and Causewells served as a chill morning for us with our friends. The location had a cute bar set up for evening link ups, and the service was very friendly. The vibe is more of what you go for the food is decent but won't necessarily blow you away. Try them out and see for yourself. For tourists, or visitors of the city, the location is in the Marina District, so Golden Gate Bridge is near if you'd like to sightsee. This location is also very close to the Presidio theater.

From the very first bite, I knew I had found the IT bagel spot in the city. I ordered one pumpernickel and one poppyseed. The staff member helping me was super efficient and scooped up my bagels in a flash. She asked me if I wanted any cream cheese. I dubiously asked if they had any vegan cream cheese fully expecting the answer to be no, as I didn't see it listed on the menu, but she confirmed instantly that they do offer vegan scallion cream cheese and added a compostable tub of it to my order. She also directed me to the canister of compostable knives available for takeout. I was in and out quicker than I expected. While waiting for the bus, I used the plastic knife I picked up to slice one of the bagels and slather on some of the vegan scallion cream cheese. I was impressed by how glossy the bagels appeared on the outside but how soft they are in the inside. The vegan scallion cream cheese really elevated the bagel to the next level. Idk what they put in it, but it's crack. It doesn't taste anything like the original Kite Hill spread I've gotten elsewhere. Suffice it to say, I think The Laundromat has ruined me for bagels and good cream cheese elsewhere.

I've been here quite a few times now, and it has honestly never let me down…read more I usually play it safe and order one of their burgers with fries which, to be fair, is hard to mess up--but on my most recent visit, I decided to try the monthly special: the Crispy Chicken Tacos. I'll admit, I was a little skeptical because it only came with two tacos, and I was starving. I almost ordered a second serving, but I'm so glad I didn't... or maybe I should have because they were that good. The chicken was perfectly crispy, and you could actually taste the hot honey without it overpowering everything else. It paired so well with the corn, slaw, and sauce, creating the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and fresh. And that squeeze of lemon on top? It brought everything together. Easily one of the best specials I've had in a while. One thing I also appreciated was how extensive the menu is. Since I almost always order a burger, I hadn't realized how many options they offer. My friend and I came with our kids, and everyone found something they were excited to eat, which made ordering easy. We grabbed one of the outdoor tables since we stopped by after the lunch rush on a weekday. The seating itself was nice, but be prepared to share the space with some very bold birds. One especially large bird was absolutely determined to steal our food. Obviously that's not the restaurant's fault, but it's worth mentioning if you're hoping for a quiet, uninterrupted meal outside. I can also see this place getting pretty hectic during peak hours, so if your schedule is flexible, I'd recommend stopping by outside the lunch rush. Overall, though, this spot continues to be one of my go-to places, and I'll definitely be back.
