It's the small details; the HVAC was well modulate. It never got too cold or hot and stuffy. The carpet was clean and maintained, ceiling tiles clean. There is an impressive guest Breakfast buffet. Beyond the cold dry cereals and yogurts found at some motels. Waffles you prepare, scrambled eggs, pastries, to name a few. There is no onsite restaurant, but there are plenty of restaurants and fast food places nearby. There's a small store with snacks and beverages next to reception. There was a wedding going on, I imagine in a ballroom somewhere in the motel. Some of the amenities are: a putting green near the entrance, well appointed fitness center, indoor pool, business center, free WiFi, an area with children's activities, covered and open air seating area. There are probably more that I'm unaware of.

On peak hours, the wifi will drop connection every few minutes for about 2 minutes at a time, sometimes longer, just to have it happen again a few minutes later. The pool was cold and my kids didn't stay in there long - would be great to have a pool that was warmer. The hot tub was quite warm and 15 minutes at a time was sufficient for me. I was a bit disappointed with the dishes/utensils that they had. The rooms did not have can openers - during my last several stays at these types of accommodations, there was always a can opener in the kitchen area, in addition to a few more items than they had here. We were eventually able to use one but there were staff who said they had never seen a can opener there. Also, for example, the nonstick coating on the 2 pots provided was highly scratched and the cooking utensils were all the ones with the black coating that is now out of favor. The rooms are not "deep cleaned" as far as the baseboards being dusty and there being residual hairs from previous guests in the bathroom crevices. That being said, it was generally clean looking and although the sofa bed has been through some wear and tear, it worked fine. I will say that the painting and repainting team did a great job as the walls that I saw were spotless and without discoloration. The rugs in the hallways could also stand to be updated. I would say that the conditions did not detract from the stay at the price we paid. It was a great value. I imagine that making the updates I mentioned might drive up the price. Anyways, I'd stay again but I might pack a few more things if I was intending to cook. Yes, there is a Walmart right across the parking lot, but I also don't want to buy a bunch of things I already have at home. My family members who have stayed here, recommended it and generally speaking, I was not disappointed (pool and hot tub almost all to ourselves, they provided free breakfast with hot food, generally clean, working kitchen, convenient location).

I made a change to said reservation on the app I used which was reflected on the app but apparently not on the hotel's reservation site which for some reason showed two reservations instead, which I was not aware of. I ended up having to cancel my stay at the hotel due to illness and cancelled the only reservation showing on the app I used and unfortunately was subsequently charged a fee for not canceling the reservation I was not aware of. The app and hotel pointed fingers at each other's system and then said it was my error which I had to pay for and it was not cheap!

I did notice that when we were on the 2nd floor the rooms look like the pictures posted but are a little outdated, where the room we got on the 3rd floor, had a newly updated bathroom/ shower. 2 detractors: 1. No breakfast included, they have a restaurant in the lobby, but no room service or menu that's posted elsewhere other than the lobby. When we went to order they were out of many items and have odd hours of operation. So we had to factor many meals out during our stay. 2. Skunks! There are multiple skunks all over the property, we had to dodge multiple in the parking lot and they can be seen from the courtyard, and they were at the entrance! If you are not looking carefully, you could run into one!

Oatmeal, DIY waffles, a few hot items, fruits, yogurts, etc. I liked that all their items were labeled - as a vegetarian sometimes it can be tricky with hotel breakfasts that like to hide meat in eggs. They had cold brew out as well as hot coffees which I thought was a nice option. Very big lobby/breakfast area. Came back to cookies in the lobby one evening which was a nice surprise.
