Professional, kind and courteous staff make this Hampton Inn a welcoming place to stay. Rooms are very small but clean. The hallways were very warm during the weekend that we stayed in July but the rooms were nice and cool. There were two wedding blocks booked but we did not notice or hear any noise from wedding guests coming or going, which was due to the great soundproof design of the rooms and hallways. Complimentary coffee and tea throughout the day was a nice touch. I stayed in the lobby to catch up with friends in the evening while our children also hung out. The nice man at the front desk gave the kids coloring sheets and crayons! The breakfast area had a decent selection: eggs, potatoes, meat, Belgian waffles, cereal, bagels, yogurt and fresh juice. The dining area was clean and not chaotic, unlike many other hotels that we've been to. Would definitely choose this hotel over others in the area. read more

Had a good stay. Didn't use it but the pool area looked nice. Breakfaster was great. Good selection of different items that should cover most if not all dietary restrictions. I don't eat waffles on a regular basis but will almost always get them if the hotel breakfast has a waffle maker. They had a variety of toppings available to go with them. read more

My go-to hotel had rates that were on the high side, so I thought I would try the Hampton Inn over Memorial Day weekend. I am glad I did. This hotel has a Great location (Though hidden behind an abandoned hotel), clean rooms (though housekeeping every other day) and welcoming staff. The rooms are spacious and updated. The breakfast area is lovely and immense, and there is a wide variety of items to choose from. Hot coffee and tea are available 24/7 in the lobby. The indoor pool area is well kept. Rooms come with a mini fridge, coffee set up and microwave. For the price, this is a great place. read more

Meh - a middle of the road Hampton Inn, that doesn't have anything particular which makes it stand out. Set back from the main road, it is behind an abandoned hotel which doesn't make the ambiance that great. Lobby has low ceilings and it feels like you are walking into a cave. Somewhat updated interior, but not of the latest design gives the rooms a bit of a tired and used appearance. Beds are mediocre and the mattresses are not that soft or plush - felt a bit like cardboard. We stayed three nights and towards the end I was not sleeping that comfortably. Air conditioners need to be cleaned, as a slight smell of mold permeated the room when it was running. All in all - not great - not bad - just middle of the road. For the Hilton Brand - Hamptons are hit or miss - the new hotels with the modern layout are the way to go. read more

Check in was quick and easy. Chris was great. We stayed overnight from Saturday to Sunday. The hotel is going through a renovation. We had booked for 4 people but when we got to the room there was only 3 towel sets but when we went downstairs Chris was able to give me another towel. Also when we went to the pool the next morning, they ran out of towels but Jeremiah was able to get someone to refill the pool towels. Everyone was really nice and friendly. The area also had a lot of food options. Would definitely stay here again! I think sally was her name she's a doll give her a raise. as for as the rooms I'm on the 3rd floor the rugs are really old/ motel like style. When you walk into the room it's old and dusted and not Hampton Inn potential. I feel like I checked into a quality inn or motel. Should have paid $80 for this room. We had a wonderful overnight stay during Washington's Birthday long weekend after skiing in Hunter Mountain. Peter from front desk is very courteous and helpful for accommodation. Room is in good size for one king bed. Bathroom is clean and new. The pool is in good size, but crowded with kids sometimes. It is not perfect without a gym in the hotel, but I think I had enough exercise (skiing) for the day. It would be perfect 5 star to have the jacuzzi on site for more relaxation. The location is also convenient to a car wash place if you prefer to do your own car wash. read more

I can not say enough wonderful things about this lovely hotel. I always chose Hampton Inn when traveling to an unfamiliar area bc I am assured of hilton standard quality. The room was comfortable, clean and the staff was friendly and efficient. The breakfast was great. More importantly...I was in Fishkill bc my college daughter was hospitalized and I needed to be close by. The staff was so kind and caring that by the end of the stay I felt as if I was staying with family. My main thought is that the staff must always be this kind to every guest bc otherwise I never would have felt comfortable telling them my personal business. I will stay at this hotel everytime I am in the area. And once again I continue to remain loyal to the Hilton Brand. Friendly staff, updated rooms, and convenient locations with easy access to I84. Hudson Valley Towne Center and Benmarl Vinery are with 30 minutes or so. Arriving to the hotel can be somewhat confusing because there is a building under construction right in front of the hotel so driving around the back is the only way to access the parking area. Digital checkin and digital key is available and is always a timesaver. There is ample Diamond member parking near the entrances. The rooms are contemporarily decorated and small (double beds) but they have managed to place all the essentials in the room including decent size tv, fridge, microwave, desk, and a corner seating nook with a comfy chair. Since this was a last minute booking, there were no king bed rooms available so I had to settle for the two beds. Personally, I am not a fan of full size beds but it was decent for a couple nights stay. The towels are in need of replacement and the AC unit is extremely loud. My favorite part of the room was the view (422) because it overlooked trees which was so serene to gaze upon after a long day. For the breakfast eaters, there is not breakfast with a variety of options. There are many restaurant nearby including a diner with an extensive menu, friendly staff and decent food. For coffee drinkers, the basic options are available, however there is a Starbucks nearby if preferred. read more

Went to Wingbowl this past weeked and I refused to stay at the Roach Ramada so I booked a night here. Its behind the Ramada and central to the main drag of Fishkill. Hotel is clean and has hot coffee 24/7. Breakfast was included and I was oh so hungover happy to see it have hot scrambled eggs and sausage along with the typical 'cold' stuff. They have a pool which is right off the lobby but no hot tub. My opinion- idk why hotels bother with a pool if you don't include a hot tub. Pools attract the kids, hot tubs attract the adults. Come on now! You also couldnt access it with your own room card like normal hotels; you had to ask the front desk to open it. Wtf annoying. Rooms were fairly small and had weird architecture in the way that the wall most definitely should have been built with one large window or two small ones. Instead in room 215, we had one small window which had the lovely view of a solar panel or the hotels emblem. Aka we had a view of nothing. No biggy but it was funky and could feel hella claustrophobic to some. Heat/air worked just fine, microwave and decent size mini fridge that fit two, one gallon zip locks of wings and an 18 rack of bottle brews. Room seemed fairly clean as well, and no obvious stains or signs of wear. Overall, a cheap stay and place to crash if you need it. But I'm still annoyed at the lack of hot tub. read more

I also learned that Hampton Inns are owned by Hilton. So, their rewards program works here. rooms are nice, but like a lot of newer hotels... no lock on the bathroom door... weird? i need a lock. the risk of someone seeing stretch marks on a big flabby mess... is far to great... which reminds me! The location of this hotel is actually very convenient. It is right off of the highway directly behind the Ramada inn. You do not see it right away off of the road because of the Ramada inn in front of it. The one thing I do have to say is that the Ramada inn does not look that great so I did have some concerns being so close to a very run down hotel. When we arrived the staff greeted us warmly and gave us a little goodie bag. We went up to the room. The room is clean and very well organized. When we took our showers later on in that evening we all felt it was a little weird that there was no door for the shower there was a glass wall but that was only covering half of the shower. So when you turn the shower on water was getting out all over the floor. It also was such a weird feeling having the door area wide open. I also noticed a HAIR on the wall of the shower before getting in. One thing I also did not like and I noticed this at a lot of hotels is that the smoking area is directly out front. I really dislike walking out of a hotel and having to smoke in my face. I also find it unprofessional when employees are smoking in the smoking area. All of that happened on this day. In the end I'm not sure I would stay at this location I would find a different Hilton nearby. read more

Long story short, this was One of the worst stays in my past 7 years of traveling. Lost two star for bad customer service(Rude woman in the morning hours), Second star, hall ways in front of the rooms smell like some one deaficated on the carpet, third star, thin walls so I heard the couple few doors down fighting for over an hour. I have stayed at Marriott across the street and it's day and night difference. For few more dollars save your self the headache and drive there. Definitely never staying at this location. read more

Booked this hotel after reading reviews on priceline that made the hotel stand out among other ones in the area in this price range. Overall, VERY disappointed. Shabby, outdated carpet (forest green!), old tile (pink!) and dirty/grey grout in the bathroom and aged/dated wallpaper in the hallways and room. When a hotel TV offers more adult channels and pay-per-view than actual movies, it's a bad sign. There are so many other hotels in this area in this price point and I stayed based on positive reviews online- really not clear how that's possible! I don't think I'm particularly demanding, but I do expect something better than motel 8 when I'm paying $125+. read more

We actually stayed here after checking reviews from another site. Glad I didn't check this one because we may not have stayed here! I thought this place was fantastic! The price was unbelievable. The rooms were immaculate and spacious and the staff was considerate and helpful. The pool was awesome for the kids. I've paid a lot more other places and gotten a lot worse. The more than continental breakfast was an added bonus. No, it wasn't fresh restaurant breakfast, but my husband and daughter and the rest of our friends were thrilled to be getting this thrown in. Overall I can't imagine finding a better bargain for the money. Check what others say on other sites. This place gets great reviews. I will stay here again when we are in this neck of the woods. I stayed here twice when I was in town visiting family. The hotel is very conveniently located right off of Route 9 and 84. The hotel was impeccably clean, the decor was modern and fresh, and the rooms were very comfortable. The staff that we met were friendly and efficient. We had to walk past the front desk to get to our room and each day the staff would greet us and say hello. On top of that, the continental breakfast was quick, easy, and good. The menu changed slightly from day-to-day which we liked. We had options of waffles, sausage, potatoes, eggs, yogurt, fruit, cereal, muffins, toast, coffee and juice. We usually hit breakfast near the end, and it was always still hot and fresh. I was very satisfied with accommodations here and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else next time. read more

At first glance this seems to be a nice hotel. Check-in process went smooth. Check-in staff was cheerful, peppy, friendly, and quick. Check-out process was another story. No one in the morning shift at 6am knew how to do check-out process or print out invoice. Staff Person that knew how did not start work until 8am. No on-site gym. Decent hotel, but I'm knocking off a star for the over-zealous housekeeping staff. The room seemed clean although the couch seemed to have a slight odor. They do not have actual dressers in the room just some weird wire racks that look like they are for produce. The bathroom is spacious with a few minor drawbacks: the way the shower is designed water unavoidably goes on the floor, there is no lock or even secure closure on the door (not too big of a deal for me since I was only there with my boyfriend), the low-flow toilet doesn't flush that well, and there is no fan/vent for privacy either. Bed was comfy and I slept well. The free breakfast wasn't the best I've had but was not even close to the worst either. Overall, I wouldn't mind eating there again. My big issue was with housekeeping. I will preface this by saying I am very protective of my personal belongings and uncomfortable leaving them unattended around strangers. Because of this, I usually leave up the do-not-disturb sign at hotels. However my boyfriend seemed really into having housekeeping come in when we went out for the day so I tried to assure myself they were only going to come in and make the bed, take the trash, replace towels...maybe a quick vacuum or wipe down of areas where we didn't have our stuff. So I resisted the urge to pick up all my stuff and hide it and we went out. When we came back I found that they had touched literally ALL of my stuff. They put my bathing suit in a weird place (surprised I noticed it since we didn't wind up using the pool), moved our dirty laundry (which I didn't think was in anyone's way and it seems extremely odd that they would touch that), moved our luggage (not such a big deal), moved all the toiletries left out in the bathroom (also odd and not something I want strangers touching), moved a couple of small cases that were in no way in anyone's way, took a bunch of stuff my boyfriend left out on a desk and packed it into a bag it didn't belong in and put it into a cabinet, and practically hid my second pair of shoes (I really thought they threw them out or something and was about to call the front desk). The situation made me feel uncomfortable and like my privacy was violated. The do-not-disturb sign will be staying up from now on. read more

The stuff that matters was done right.... The staff are friendly and efficient. My King room was immaculate. The bed was neatly made and very comfortable. The bathroom looked modern and was also immaculate. So why only 3 stars? Whoever designed the bathroom should be condemned to spend eternity sharing the room with 3 toddlers that keep opening the bathroom door! I want privacy in the bathroom! The NON LOCKING NO LATCH AT ALL sliding bathroom door does not offer that! The low flow toilet had to be flushed twice each use just to get a small amount of tp to go down. And the shower.... OMG. The non moving glass only covers half the shower. To turn the water on, you have to walk directly in, and stand right under the shower head!. The other option was to take the shower hose down and only get splattered on the lower half of your body as you adjust the water temp! Add in that an awful lot of water winds up on the floor and you have a terribly designed shower! read more

I'm a gold member for Hilton and stay at Hampton Inn quite often, so I may be a little biased. I stayed here recently on business. It's located behind the Ramada Inn, which could make it a hidden treasure. The outside and common areas were clean. The room was clean with an ample supply of toiletries and in-room coffee. Bed was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The woman working the front desk was able to direct me to a local park for a jog, then provided me with silverware when I brought dinner home. The morning woman working the breakfast area was very friendly and carried on a conversation with guests. Breakfast was your typical Hampton Inn breakfast. I only had the oatmeal and a yogurt before heading out to work. There is a fitness room and a pool, but I did not use them. Overall a very nice hotel and if I'm in the area again, will stay here again. read more

Well Hampton Inn and staff know how to treat a bridal party and wedding guests. I had all of my family staying here. Anna was very helpful in setting up a room block. I called around noon and was able to check in early. The staff offered to hand out welcome bags or cater after parties. We didn't need any food but we hung out in the common areas around the lobby with no issues. The kids loved the pool. While we were out, housekeeping set up fresh cookies and champagne for the bride and groom. read more

Dan at the front desk was a lifesaver the first weekend in August we had a wedding to attend and trying to save some money I decided to go with the hotel (and I use that term lightly) the couple had blocked rooms at. Well that was disaster of a place and I'm still trying to fix it. But Hampton Inn and Dan saved the day. The hotel was friendly courteous and best of all CLEAN!! Will never use this Inn again. Had a king bed room that had two towels and two face cloths. My 73 y/o father was told he didn't need anymore towels. Really? Upon check out he requested a printed receipt and was told Hilton is paperless. Being in his 70's he doesn't do digital. They then requested two breakfast go bags and was told that was for business people on weekdays only. When I called to sort this out I asked for a manager. Did I get to talk to said manager? No, despite being told the manager was in fact it n site. The same clerk that gave my elderly parents a hard time about a printed receipt said she could handle my concerns. Excuse me, you were the problem. I still proceeded to discuss the situation and was told that they left happy, and that nothing was wrong and everything was up to Hilton standard. FYI, no it was not! To add insult to injury after telling her I would make it a point to avoid this particular Hilton property, her reply was , and I quote "guess we won't be seeing you again" Thankfully I know this particular Hilton property to be the exception I only stay at Hilton properties, not only will I not recommend, but I will drive drastic lengths to avoid the place. Rude staff, high prices and minimal basics. Heaven forbid you need an extra towel a breakfast go bag or want to speak to a manager.
