There is absolutely no reason why this hotel doesn't have 5 stars. We bought this hotel hours before we arrived because we wanted to stay overnight in the area and it was actually the cheapest. My husband bought it and I didn't really look into it until I was amazed at what I saw. First of all, when you get here - you realize there's a Walmart a block away across the street, a gas station you can easily walk to, and you have five guys and chipotle for fast food - I'm sure more but it was dark out, so I couldn't really see. So we walk into the lobby and it's pretty, very big area because it's also the dining room. They give us a map to park the closest to our suite. So we walk up the stars to our second floor suite and it's absolutely stunning. It has a living room, dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The price we paid under $300 was unreal. I wish more hotels looked like this! They had a dishwasher for the dishes, closets, the sofa even had a bed to it as well. There was nothing upsetting about this place. They provide shampoo and conditioner that smelled decent. the only thing that's a little weird is there is no privacy on the first floor room, they have French doors with no curtains - so if you're staying with people, I'm sure that could be awkward - depending. We just had a great night stay and the bed/pillows were so comfortable. The breakfast was nice, there was all sorts of basic options from oatmeal to cereal to eggs and potatoes. They also had a variety of tea's. For the weekend people were trying to find tables, there is sofas around to eat your food, but who wants to do that? Might have to go back to your hotel if you want a table - it's a little apartment anyway, I'd rather eat with my family. The people at the desk were great. Just make sure if you have a lot of bags or someone handicap in your family that you let them know you need the first floor because climbing up the stairs will be a pain. If I could rate this place, I'd give it a 100/100. Besides hotels in Vegas, definitely one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in! read more

We've stayed here the past 2 years while driving up the east coast. It is not the best place I've ever stayed however they take dogs and dogs not charge a huge fee for them. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The hotel is quiet and seems to be in a safe area. The room itself is set up as a studio apartment with a full kitchen, sitting area, etc. Having a big fridge and freezer is awesome when you travel with drinks and cooler packs. I just wanted to take a moment to share the wonderful experience I had at BW Fishkill during my stay from January 1st to January 4th. This trip was a much-needed quick getaway from NYC with my daughter and our dog, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. We stayed in room 114, which was not only accessible for my daughter but also incredibly spacious and well-equipped with everything we needed. The entire staff was exceptionally friendly, and the premises were immaculate. It's evident that the team takes great pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality. The location is also terrific as it is close and even walking distance to different restaurants and Walmart. I'm thrilled to say that we've already booked a return stay, and we can't wait to come back and enjoy another fantastic visit. Thank you for making our trip so memorable! read more

2 stars is a stretch honestly. I came for an extended stay to visit family and this ended up being the last part of my trip, and boy was I ready to go home. Let's start from the beginning. The front desk staff is warm and welcoming, but the manager of the staff is not. We arrived early (2pm) after driving 2 and a half hours and was told there was no early check in as the rooms were getting cleaned and inspected, so we decided to cross the highway to the shopping plaza to kill time. When we came back 5 minutes before check in we were told our room still wasn't ready however several people came after us got rooms right away! This should have been our signal to leave but we were exhausted and just wanted to unpack and unwind since we had a person using a wheelchair, a service animal, a senior and a child. Ok, so now it's 4:30 we get our keys into the room and we're greeted with a puddle of water on the kitchen floor, a bunch of sunflower seeds scattered throughout the space, dead spiders in the bathroom, tiny sewing needles on the windowsill, and 2 kitchen items even though we have a full kitchen. (2 plates, 2 forks, 2 knives, 2 pots) Mind you, we paid $1k to stay here for a week, this is what we were greeted with. We called the front desk to have someone look at the dishwasher they came 3 days later ran it again and told us to call again if it was leaking...lol what?! It leaks after every cycle... they were able to fix the nob on the closest and that was it. We called to see if someone. Oils bring kitchen supplies, 2 days in a row the phone rang and no one picked up. The next morning after the free breakfast basic buffet, We then asked for more cooking supplies, aka a spatula, cutting knives, spoons, we were given some that came from the breakfast buffet that were quickly washed in the back and when we got back to our room discovered they were rusty and the teflon was chipping from the frying pan, as if someone was playing basketball with it, and using rocks as the ball. Mehhh this place was the worst, it is pet friendly which is the only plus, but it honestly feels like ikea renovations, with sketchy people living there long term. Lots of Men and truckers all along the property and look in the windows people have plants and window fans like they live there year round!!! There is so much more that happened in a week, That honestly I don't even have the energy to detail anymore. Would not recommend. read more

This not a review of the quality or service of this Bestwestern . More important this is a review of their procerdures, their responsibility their accountability, and their lack of assitace locating a 600 dollar package that last known to be received by them and is still missing after 2 months . I recently had a package (pictured )delivered through UPS to a buyer / tenant at this Best western Hotel on Schuyler Blvd in Fishkill New york . It was delivered on February the 18 . April 11the buyer claimed a chargeback on his payment and claimed it did not arrived . I tried to contact him but his number was no longer working .I did see that the person who signed for the package was The General Manager . I called on April 12 to inquire about the package and the receptionist said they could not release any guest info . When I asked her about a " name " as an employee she said he was the General manager and he was right beside her. She then put him on the phone . I then inquired about the package At first he said he couldn't recall the package . I refreshed his memory as it was a very large 60 lb boxed stereo from the 1990s .Very hard to forget. He then said he did recall the package clearly but couldn't recall what happened to it .He then said something about he thought it was returned . With further questioning he next stated it was returned and they do not steal . Before I could ask if the buyer took delivery or how it was returned ? He got quite defensive and said I was of accusing him of theft and hung up . I have repeatedly tried calling and messaging to get more informastion from the Manger or the buyer . They do not respond to my messages or calls . They do appear to be conversing behind the scenes ,as I eventualy l heard fromthe buyer first time after 5 weeks of trying ,immediaytely after messaging the manger that I would be reporting this to corporate . Corporate has been notified but I am still waiting for them to respond . Pretty sure this is standard procedure as far as receiving at this hotel , and a regular occurance between the Manager and occupants how did this happen ? read more

We were in town for a wedding, and this place served as the barebones necessities for what we needed. We were quite happy with the king suite itself, and the price was reasonable. But the rest of the hotel and services were a bit less than ideal. The whole place had a bit of a dingy feeling - they said they "didn't do housekeeping on weekends," and when we asked for extra towels, they said they would deliver them, but never did. I'm not sure I can recommend this with a good conscience. read more

When we walked into the lobby we were greeted by Brandon with a warm and friendly smile! It really made my day because after a long week, it was a huge relief to know that we'd picked a good hotel for a brief weekend visit with my family. After checking in and chatting a bit with Brandon about the rooms and the breakfast and coffee service, we found our room and were so happy to see how clean and spacious it was. The kitchen area was nice and fully stocked and the clean dishes were in the dishwasher ready to be used. The bathroom was spotless and I was so impressed by how shiny all the silver fixtures were! You could tell that someone took care to clean and polish everything. THIS made me so happy because my 1-year-old grandbaby was staying here too and having a clean space for him is so important to us! The next morning, we went to the lobby for a nice breakfast of eggs, sausage, potatoes, and waffles. There was also coffee and all kinds of juice, fruit, water, etc. Everything was fresh and clean, and I was once again impressed by how friendly the staff was! Cedrick was busy checking the food and took time to talk to me and ask me how I was enjoying everything! It really made my day to see how wonderful everyone was at this hotel, and I look forward to using this hotel again for family visits and to recommending it to everyone! The room was nice and the staff was very nice. But the mattress was way too soft, the towels were thin and a bit scratchy, and the shower was the lowest flow I have ever encountered anywhere. Manager take note! However, I don't want to take away a star, because the suite, with a full kitchen and a couch, was pretty nice and the suite was clean. There is a sort of courtyard, with a gazebo, barbecue grills, and an outdoor fireplace. The free breakfast was more than adequate. read more

This hotel is a home. I've actually been staying here the past 3 months while I look for a handicapped accessible apartment for my son and I. I'm very grateful I chose this place to stay. The staff has been so accommodating, especially the manager, Miguel. If you are staying here or plan on staying here, ask for him, he will personally help you out with anything he can. The front desk staff, Grace and Vox, are friendly and efficient and get you whatever you need. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and clean. Everything works. in 3 months I have not experienced any issues in my room. Internet works, the heat and hot water works, oven works, dishwasher works, everything is top notch. The property itself is so well maintained. The landscaping is impressive, flowers and plants in every corner. There is a pool that you want to jump right into. There are new grills just installed and a fire pit for summer fun. Each room has a separate entrance and the whole property is just very inviting and when you're here, you don't want to leave. We had to find a room to stay on New Year's Eve in NY to return my daughter to college on the 1st. We needed a pet friendly location as well because when we realized she needed to return on the 1st it was too late to get a sitter. We booked a 2 queen suite w/ full kitchen and pull out sofa through hotels.com. The room was a decent size, it was clean, and a great price. By far the best place we've stayed in our several trips back and forth to her campus. I would recommend and will likely stay again on one of our returning visits. read more

Stood there for a few weeks,front desk personnel are great! Housekeeping needs improvment, they ran ran out of towels and washcloths, had to wait to following day when they do laundry. The General Manager Miguel, hides from everyone and dresses like a maintenance man, no ID , no shirts and ties and avoids any matter you approach him with and sends you to the front desk and certainly has No manners! he needs to be taught hotel hospitality!!!. His right hand Khalil, takes all the punches for him and they have a huge turnover of housekeepers....the Holiday inn is right down the block and if you dont need a kitchen, stay there, where the Manager and all personnel are nice , hotel is nice and they cater to all your needs! Great location (only reason for more than 1 star review), however, poor quality control. My family and I stayed at the Best Western in Fishkill for a gymnastics competition. We had a suite with upper and lower-level bedrooms. At the end of a long day, we were getting ready for bed. When removing the covers, my wife noticed yellow stains and what appeared to be numerous pubic hairs. Disgusting! Nothing like hair and body fluid stains in the sheets to give you a good night sleep. When we contacted the front desk, they sent someone up who just handed us some sheets and left. No "Sorry"; No "Is there anything else you need"; No offer to remake the bed etc. The next morning at checkout, I asked to speak with a manager; but was told that they had not arrived yet. I showed pictures of the dirty/soiled sheets to the clerk and asked to have management call me. I am still waiting for a call 2 months later. read more

We have used this hotel for several crew members over multiple productions and it is a great, affordable option for the area -- especially for anyone who wants to bring a pet and have a kitchen. Also, it was just fully renovated, so while there are fancier hotel options in the area, this one is a nice win for someone on a budget who wants a nice stay. the worst motel! stay away. dirty room,0 rude attendant. there was a loud noise of some kind of machine. i asked for another room, he acted annoyed and said he didn't have one, although he told me he had 40 rooms. the parking lot was nearly empty. when i asked when it would stop. he said it was the pump and he said it would stop. it didn't. i put music on my cell phone and tried to sleep, as i was very tired from a 280 mile trip . i'm 74 and i could go no further or i would have left. i should have demanded a refund, but i had a business meeting in the morning. No breakfast not even coffee. i was planning a high school reunion of a hundred people in september. you can be sure we will not be at a Best Western. sleeping in a barn would have been more restful. read more

They say it's the little things that add up, and for this property, that affects it in a bad way. The suites themselves were nice, but felt inadequate for six people. They provided only four small and four large plates, but no bowls. Forks, spoons, dinner knives, but no steak knives. Pretty minimal cookware. The suite we stayed in must have just had work completed, because there was wet spackling that fell off a saucer sized spot right above the refrigerator. And they tried painting the handrail to the loft, but didn't prepare the surface properly, so the paint rubbed right off. The downstairs bedroom, while seemingly private, had two clear glass French doors into the room, which completely eliminated any privacy. I'm guessing the cleaning staff was having a hard time keeping up with the maintenance crew, because evidence of the crew's recent work was all over the outside landing and doormat. Then there is the pool - the hours are the strangest I've encountered. It's only open from 10 am to 7 pm. Maybe that's fine in the winter, but way too short for the middle of summer. Lastly, you'll encounter a lot of long term residents. The ones we met we nice, even generous, but that might not be true for everyone, or something every traveler is okay with. If you don't have a lot of options, like in our case, it's fine. But I'm sure there are better places to stay in the area. read more

I arrived for check-in later than I expected for a 3 night Thanksgiving stay at around 9pm to a line 7 (!) people deep at the front desk. And I am talking 7 people arriving at the SAME TIME!!!! I prepared myself for a LONG wait (I KNOW from experience), and worried about the woman working the front desk (literally the ONLY person there) and the potential for Karens present in the line before me. To my shock and awe....Xena (the woman working the front desk), took COMPLETE control of the situation and did this double check-in super bad-ass thing that got me up to get my room and get settled. It was CRAZY impressive. She took care of everyone's needs in surreal record time to me...she separated the line into: 1. check-ins and 2. people that need towels or other things.... and my defeated, tired ass was whisked to front of the line and given my key to get me and my 3 kids up to start recovering from a heavy traffic infested 9 hour drive up from Maryland to see my dysfunctional family on Thanksgiving for the first time in 10 years. To be honest I was amazed. Never have I ever witnessed such a young person with the abilities to take complete control of a situation and take care of every single customer when faced with such an overwhelming situation. And she did it WELL and EASILY. Shit! I would have buckled under the PRESSURE. She seemed to be thriving from the pressure!!! I even tried to recruit her into my field of work because my line of work NEEDS young people exactly like her. Over the course of my stay I've, unfortunately, had to go to her for MANY annoying needs (bedding for pullout couch, towels and soap, and an extra blanket for me to sleep on the couch instead of in the queen bed with my son..... She went out of her way EVERY SINGLE TIME....with a smile and what we needed.....and on top of everything...she informed me that the couch I was planning to sleep on with a blanket was actually a pullout sleeper sofa bed....and gathered a mattress topper, sheets, pillows, blanket and pillowcases so I'd be more comfortable!!! Do you get how great it is to have someone go above and beyond because they actually really care??? I've seen it all...but never this.... now even though the people above us were walking around literally all night until 6 AM and I didn't sleep well... I didn't give a shit because for once someone out there seemed to give a shit about their job! With the way things have changed in customer service and corporations cutting back on staff to save money and make profits for themselves... This is a welcome change that she should be rewarded for it because without people like her....shit gets crazy... and Karen's evolve from the mess when nobody cares.... Also in the middle of the night Patricia at the front desk was awesome as well and went out of her way so Best Western...if you're out there...and you read these reviews...take care of people like this that work for you! read more

Great stay until the end. Turned off our key card access before checkout time so we were locked out of the room the morning we were leaving which made packing the car difficult and my fiancé was locked out of the room with our 2 dogs while I was in the shower and she couldn't get in. Once finally packed we headed to the front desk to check out. We wanted to let the front desk staff know about the key card problem and that we were locked out but they didn't seem to care. One of the guys was nice and apologetic but another guy came out of nowhere and was extremely rude to us which was unacceptable and no apology was made just excuses. We weren't even talking to him why was he so ready to jump in and fight customers?? Maybe I should lock my credit card right before checking out next time?? Oh also, my fiancé ended up leaving earrings on the night stand after being flustered about being locked out and trying to pack. Called the hotel once we realized not even a couple hrs. after leaving and they said they would look for them. We knew exactly where they were so they should have been easily found. Days went by no call. We called 4 different times for over a week to get a status on the earrings to no avail. I finally called and asked for a manager and he said "oh yea we looked we didn't find any earrings". How about a call to at least let us know!! So you either 1) didn't look 2) Housekeeping took them 3) Looked but couldn't really care enough to do a good job. The whole staff needs customer service training. Please. Get. Better.
