Green Valley Motel - Just part of the grime we cleaned from behind the beds

Green Valley Motel

On the fly a decent stay: for 1 night. The woman gave me a price of $75 but when I arrived the old…read moreguy tried to charge $95. Beware! Rooms are roomy but not well equipped. Water works all over. Old TV. No lamp shades (there was a building in the court yard that was locked that had about 80 lamp shades on a giant pile). No views. No breakfast. No staff. Be prepared to watch your car and sleep with loud clientele blasting music. Review: 3

Lived here for a year. We paid between $1600 and $1400 a month to live here with everything…read moreincluded which is not bad considering the housing/rental crisis in our area, but conditions were unlivable and owners were beyond HORRIBLE!! Obviously no one forced us to stay but it was all we could afford at that. Sooo many issues. From our ceiling falling through from a leaky roof to black mold. Broken window and fridge which owners tried to blame all of the above on us. None of which were actually caused by us. They did this to everyone that complained about anything. None of these issues were fixed or addressed while we were there. Myself and neighbors were and are still sick from these issue. House keeping gets mad when you ask for something. The owners literally stalk you. You are not allowed to socialize with other neighbors. No one is allowed to have a visitor to the point if we ordered a pizza the owners would be outside chasing them off the property!! Owners were INSANE AND SOOO UNFRIENDLY!! some serious control issues to say the least lol ‍. Owners found any reason to act like idiots and I'm not even mad or an old angry tenant/customer I'm just being real. Neighbors found mice in their rooms also, but that's probably partly cause they are dirty people lol. You could hear animals in the crawl spaces above and below you which they also would not address. All furniture is old and disgusting. All linens are disgusting. Had to clean and use all of our own things, because they would not supply anything actually clean, which was fine cause we were actually living there but for over night guests I feel bad! Just BEWARE!! Bring your own stuff or sleep in the car lol. I heard rumors of roaches and bed bugs... but none of which did we actually ever encounter, but we self cleaned our room constantly and sprayed for bugs and put our own traps out just to prevent these things from happening. There is a motel literally walking distance from this one. SOOOO much nicer and cleaner for about the same price. Unfortunately they had no weekly rentals available, if your just staying overnight or a short stay I DEFINITELY recommend staying there if you can instead!!!! Otherwise..... if you don't mind bugs, dirt, grime, mice, mold, stupid, ignorant, thieving guests and nasty ignorant thieving staff the green valley might be the place for you. One thing they do include is plenty of party favors which are to be found in just about every other room. That's about the only thing they include here at this lovely establishment ‍ Good luck and have fun if you choose to stay here! Don't say I didn't warn ya!! ENJOY!! lol.I

There are a few Expresses in the area but this Holiday Inn had a restaurant and was less expensive than the other nearby hotels. Pros Price- The price for a room is the best in the vicinity (for IHG hotels) Spacious Clean Room with Comfortable Mattress and a Water View- As a Platinum IHG member I had my queen room upgraded to a Queen Suite at no charge. Most Expresses do not offer Queen suites. The room was a good size, was clean and had a little room that had a couch coffee table, and office table and chair. The two room windows had a lovely view of a creek just outside. Service- All the staff I interacted with at the front desk provided excellent service. Another IHG member perk (500 welcome points and a drink voucher) Free ample outdoor parking Cons Restaurant- breakfast- The breakfast is not included (unless you're a Diamond level member) and costs $12 per person. Knowing this I opted for the breakfast hotel package which decreased the cost per person. Both days, it consisted of powdered scrambled eggs, tater tots, bacon, pork sausage patties and pancakes. Also there was bread, yogurt, juice, coffee tea and hot cocoa. Dinner- The prices were reasonable for dinner and the service was excellent. My grilled chicken entree and Caesar side were OK as was my Moscow mule. Mixed Bag Decor Apparently this hotel was bought from another chain and is in the process of being renovated. The reception, lobby and restaurant area look brand new, light and airy, modern, spacious and welcoming. The old sections are a sea of brown and beige. The carpets are brand new and it looks they are slowly renovating the entire hotel. I'd give the hotel an overall 3.5 rating upgraded to 4 as they are renovating, working out the kinks and the price was very good. The restaurant was a 2 star experience and I recommend eating elsewhere.

If you've never stayed at a Home2Suites by Hilton, they are one of my favorite of Hilton's brands. The rooms are always well appointed and spacious and the interiors have a modern feel. For my stay, I stayed in a king suite, which includes a nice sitting area, mobile desk, large screen TV, kitchenette (with refrigerator, dishes, dishwasher, sink, and microwave), and convenient closet for hanging clothing items and dresser for folded items. The staff here work hard to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible, including texting a few times to check in throughout to ensure you're enjoying your stay. Like most Hilton's, they have a snack shop in the lobby area with a self serve check out (where you can charge it to your room or to your card). I appreciate this so I can get a little something to eat on days where I'm spending a lot of time in the hotel working. The parking lot is well lit and felt safe. I was able to park in front under lights on both occasions that I stayed here. Get to it!

After getting into town, we stayed at Home2Suites for 9 nights until our apartment was ready…read more Obviously it's never ideal to be in a hotel for that long, but our time in temporary housing was made more comfortable with all the amenities offered by the property. First, they are pet-friendly. We have a small dog, so this was important to us. There was a $75 charge posted online, but it was actually $125 because we were staying so long (so ask about this if you have a longer stay planned). There are dog waste stations on either side of the property, which is nice. The room itself was very spacious. We had a room adjacent to the stairwell so it was a bit bigger than most...instead of having the curtain separator, we had a separate wall to the bedroom, allowing for privacy when one of us needed to work or have a call. The rooms have dishes, a microwave, and a full-sized refrigerator, along with a dining room table, a couch, and a large bathroom. There's no heat source in the room, but you're able to check out a burner or check out utensils to use the grills outside. I am ashamed to say we didn't use the pool, but it's available. There's a workout room we used, and then lots of common seating to eat meals or take calls. Breakfast is another highlight. The menu is similar, but rotates: there are croissants, egg, some sort of meat, and a few types of cheese, along with one of three unique aiolis/sauces. Because we were there so long, breakfast got old for us, but for a weekend trip, you won't notice repetition. There's a waffle maker and fresh yogurt to help with variety. I would actually eat breakfast and then make a yogurt parfait with walnuts and granola to enjoy as an afternoon snack. For longer stays, stays with several guests in one room, or if you love having (more than a continental) breakfast included, this is a great choice!

We stayed here for two nights over Thanksgiving. It was a nice hotel. The hotel says Poughkeepsie,…read morebut technically it is in La Grange, at the very edge of Poughkeepsie. It is still very close to anywhere in Poughkeepsie. Everybody At the hotel was friendly and helpful. The entire property, including the room and the bathroom was spotless The TV got a good picture, and the beds were very comfortable. There was a microwave and a large fridge The hot breakfast in the morning was very good. Eggs, breakfast meat, yogurt, hot and cold cereal, the usual suspects. The hotel is right next to a set of rapids, and there's a beautiful view from the breakfast room. The only two minor things that caused me to take off a star, is that first of all, unlike most best westerns we have stayed at, this one has no guest Laundry. We had to send ours out into town. Secondly, there is a computer for guest use, but when I tried to use it, there was no mouse. The desk clerk looked around, couldn't find it, and just told me, "I guess there's no mouse. It's hard to use the computer without a mouse. Other than those two minor things, it was a good stay. The price was very reasonable. Never saw a breakfast like this. Two raisin bagels, not waffle batter, no eggs and breakfast meat,…read moreno yogurt. No NOTHING. And it is not because they had a huge crowd come through. When we arrived there was heavy smoke coming out of the the toaster. HEAVY! No alarms. Told the staff member and she just looked at me blankly. Fire went out in 15 minutes by itself They awoke us at 7:45 AM to see how our stay was going! DEFINITE NO!
