Town was an incredible dinner. Lilly our server (and bartender) was amazing and made the experience even better! We had the Short Ribs, Bay Scallop Casino, Dragon Roll, Tuna Tartare, and Tuckernuck Clam Chowder!

We had a really great meal here. Finding a place that's open for a casual dinner in November on Nantucket can be a bit of a challenge. I'd actually never been to Town before, but we walked by and the music was playing and it looked so inviting, that we popped in. Our server Kat was so friendly and attentive. We loved chatting with her and she helped us pick perfect dinners. We started with the mussels which were so good (that broth and the sausage!) I opted for the beet salad and my boyfriend got the lamb which was absolutely incredible. Definitely a nice, casual spot to grab dinner and a drink!

We had such a great experience with Malcom! He went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. The chips and guacamole were average. The clam chowder was really flavorful. I thought the bolognese and shrimp scampi were good sized portions and there was a lot of work involved in making it. Small restaurant and the female bartender was a bit snippy but overall great experience

Small and cozy place, perfect for a dim lit dinner. Their service was quick, and our waiter was very attentive. There is indoor and outdoor seating. I would recommend their steak!

More than just sushi.... We enjoyed the ribs and all the other food that came. We will be back again.

Very, very good!…read more Great service, dining selection, and the pricing was just right. Had the Pork Ragu and it was incredible! Yes, as advertised it certainly had some heat, handmade pasta. Sauce was spot on, not too little and not too much. A dish done exceptionally well! My bride had the pressed chicken and she loved it! Fresh and flavorful! No negatives whatsoever.

This place has a really nice vibe- it could feel high end if you wanted it to but can also be smart casual. It's cozy, dark, and there's a sense of intimacy. There's an outdoor patio dining area that is enclosed and also looks private - no street view! I had the lucky the cat cocktail, which I thought was delicious. The focaccia bread? So soft and buttery, served with more butter (which had something in it but I'm not sure what, but it was so airy and yummy) as well as oil. It's on their regular menu too! Next, the tuna crudo appetizer was great. While my friend didn't enjoy hers because of the amount of oil the tuna was sitting in- it was very heavy- I'm rarely going to be upset about raw tuna! It's also in the normal menu. My entree was the cacio e pepe bucatini which was not on the regular menu. I thought it was great! My friend had the halibut which she really enjoyed. And for dessert, the apple cider donut was sooo good. It was such a nice way to end a great meal. I can't wait to come back next year!

The small plates were all $25+ and while the small plates were actually larger than one would think, nothing blew me away. The cocktails are also expensive, pricier than drinks I recently had at The Pearl & Straight Wharf. Pics were from a few years back, but I most recently dined this year (2026) and had the octopus, little gem salad, the clam dip and fried broccoli. While all good, I wouldn't say a dish stood out as fantastic. (Granted, we didn't order any of their more "main dishes". This is definitely a spot that seemingly is more fun with many mouths to feed and try bites of many things. With just my husband & I, we were limited to the same bites of a few dishes. The service was great and the vibes also. The bar is bustling and upstairs is so charming. Overall, a solid night out. I do find it to be more expensive than their neighbors and not quite sure the food lived up to those occasions, which is why the 3 stars, but regardless, a nice night out. Fun Fact: Back in the day, this spot was an Italian restaurant called DeMarco's and I used to be the hostess! (This was 30 years ago and now after writing that, I feel quite old).

My favorites were the little gem salad (everything just worked so well together and I loved the cubed cheese croutons) and the lumache pasta. The Parker roll with caviar was pretty good but sad we had to share. The fried broccoli was fine. The steak came overcooked - we asked for medium rare but it came out medium - still not bad though. I will say it wasn't super comfortable inside. The chairs and booths were uncomfortable and tables were very cramped so although the food was good, we were sort of itching to finish and leave. The restaurant looks like it used to be a house, which seems to be the theme around here. Overall, definitely one of the better spots to eat on the island!

Well, at some point I was going to have to post a negative review, right? This was a sad stop. A…read morevery rainy morning, I'll guess other staff had trouble getting in. Still, in a mostly empty restaurant, it took way too long to just get a seat (and i couldn't get a table away from the door, even though I asked), and that was followed by a long wait to even get water, let alone coffee or my order taken. I asked for the Eggs Benedict, but was told they were out. Ok, just the simple bacon and eggs will be fine. Anyway, yes, it was awhile before the food came out. I requested eggs over medium that were beyond overcooked. The muffin? Served without butter or anything to put on it (I guess that's on me for not checking it when brought out). The bacon? The one good thing that morning. It took forever to get someone's attention for more coffee. I was really patient with the young waitress who was there seemingly by herself for the first 15-20 minutes I was there, but attentiveness didn't pick up even when three other staff joined. Then there was a long wait for the check. Finally, when I went to pay, they left with my card and came back to the table without it...a simple error that could happen any time, but just another reason to have had a negative impression of this place.

Chef Emmanuel "Manny" Rojas might be one of the best chefs on Nantucket. This former New Yorker and…read moreMomofuku Ssam Bar alum draws from culinary traditions of every sort, from Mexican and Caribbean, to Korean and Thai. Perhaps in reflection of his New York City roots, all these varied culinary cultures are thrown into the same kitchen, tossed together with abandon, and sprinkled with some Chef Rojas magic, resulting in some of the most interesting, intelligent flavors you can find on Nantucket. The current menu includes dishes like Taiwanese fried prawns, duck wontons and street corn strips with miso aioli, cotija and furikake, which play alongside ingredients like kimchi, water chestnuts, and curtido! Perhaps not surprisingly, given Chef Rojas's Momofuku pedigree, the dinner menu features Korean Barbecue Pork, a large-format family meal that closely resembles Chef David Chang's famous bo ssäm, a slow-roasted, sugar-and-salt-cured whole pork shoulder. KOREAN PORK BBQ ($170; sushi rice - cucumber kimchi - korean bbq sauce - ginger scallion sauce - bibb lettuce wraps) allegedly feeds four to six people. Given the small dent that the four of us made in the dish, even with a few growth-spurting ravenous eaters, the dish could probably feed eight hungry adults. Be prepared for leftovers and meal plan accordingly! At a more recent Sunday brunch, we had the wonderfully culturally ambiguous TUNA TOSTADA ($27; pickled jicama - aji amarillo - charred cipollini & sesame puree - shallot). It was a bit Mexican, a bit Peruvian, a bit East Asian -- and a lot delicious. I'm one of those people who don't get all the hoopla over AVOCADO TOAST, but the Progeny seem to be on the bandwagon. The version served at or, The Whale ($22; cherry tomato - fried egg - everything bagel spice on toasted sourdough) might just win me over. Excellent, ripe sliced avocados came topped with a sunny-side-up egg, lots of tender microgreens, and slightly pan-seared sweet cherry tomatoes. The EGGS BENEDICT ($26; choice of country ham or smoked salmon - poached eggs - house biscuit - hollandaise) were classic and well made with perfectly runny yolk and super rich, buttery hollandaise sauce. But the most delicious thing on the plate was the side of hash browns, a generous slab that was beautifully browned to a crisp on the outside. Cocktails are delicious, though a touch wimpy by our lush standards. Predictably, I'm fond of the entertainingly named UNCLE BAD NEWS ($17; jalapeño-infused tequila, passionfruit, lime) since I'm a sucker for any cocktail with jalapeño as an ingredient.

The food was delicious and expensive. We had the asparagus salad and summer salad. Both were delicious and fresh. Steak frites were delicious and the serving size was decent. Duck carnitas was the hit! The duck was delicious and tender. The toppings (pickled onions, pickled veggies, salsa) with the corn tortillas were just right. You prep your own tacos with all the fillings. This was our favorite and we enjoyed the unique concept to use duck! It was an expensive meal but worth it! Service was great. I took more photos but realized they were quite blurry due to it being dark out and I didn't give my phone enough time to capture the photo. I wanted to eat!!! I would definitely come again.
