First of all, this Town Fair Tire is finally getting a new store in the adjacent plaza later this summer. This store has been located in the rear of the Gansett Plaza for over 15 years and has been one of the only stores to remain open after many were forced into closure. I came here to get my tire changed and was greeted and served by excellent customer service. Nico was very thorough and explaining everything plus did not over charge me. The service here is excellent giving your car the tires, rotation and any other services needed. Nelson also is a great customer service person who helped me the next day. The plus about here is after you get tires put on they recommend you come back the next day so they can check and tighten bolts, if needed. read more

I have been coming to this location for about 4 years now. They have always been awesome, but a special COVID shout out - just one technician was working today, they had an apt at 2pm but i knew my tire would deflate if i didn't get it over ASAP at open. Asked if i could do a drop off and i would walk home. (Call service is annoying, but not their fault). They got me right in, the tire i had a Warranty on they don't carry any more and the closet style the inventory said, "-2." Thanks to the guy that saw my heart drop and checked anyway, thankfully the computer was wrong and they had one left!! That extra mile meant so much! Thank you! This has got to be one of the worst locations I have been to! Two guys at the front are miserable And don't want to deal with anyone, and it shows. Anything you ask for as far as a tire being plugged they automatically want to sell you a brand new tire. I had a nail that I needed to be pulled out and plugged but the guy refused to do it, so I could get home. Wanted to sell me 4 new tires Instead. went in for two tires a couple months ago, had an appointment, still took about two hours. Inside the store was falling apart and unkempt. They must've misplaced 3 of my lug nuts, so they just threw on 3 regular lug nuts, so now 3 if my studs are rusted. Town Fair used to be a capable and clean giant in the tire industry, but this particular location was a letdown. read more

After having recently hit a curb, I had a leak somewhere in my passenger side tire which triggered my tire light to go on. After being recommended, but knowing it would probably be a long shot, I showed up, without an appointment, to this town fair tire. Nelson, the store manager, took the time to come out and check out my tire and was then able to squeeze me in for a same day, on the spot checkout and sealing of my tire for a great rate! The only way you'll get their advertised low prices is if you order your tires online and have them delivered. I made an appointment and went in, and while online there were at least 8 different tires that would fit my car, I got stuck with the cheapest ones they had in stock, which were $89. Worse though, their website cites free alignment, this, that and the other thing, but my "extra" aka installation and tax came to another $230. So for four tires I paid almost $600. Ask anyone, and you can get tires cheaper, pretty much anywhere. I wish I would have turned and walked out, but unfortunately the thread in my tire was showing and I just really needed new tires. Went to town fair tire in Pawtucket after driving over something in the roadway. Was on my way to a job site with trailer in tow. I explained my guys were waiting for me and I needed service as quickly as possible. Nelson and Leon were so helpful, they pulled my vehicle in right away and patch my tire. We have gone to the store in Pawtucket for years. Prices, workmanship, selection and the staff are great - always have been. But now there is a customer service call center that screens calls, they are awful and the idea is awful but some propeller head at the hone office apparently thought it was a good idea. For example, don't get a slow leak and call from Cumberland to ask where the nearest store is. I think the phone people are based in Wyoming,or so it seems. More important - the process has slowed. There were a lot of unhappy people at the Pawtucket store today -blowing their Saturday. Get it right, TFT. There are many places that sell tires. read more

I went to Toyota they said my tire pressure sensor needed to be changed and Toyota was going to charge me an arm and a leg for it but a friend insisted I went to this location so on I went there for the first time having a slow leak on my tires they were able to help me out but the only problem was that the next morning the same tire that was fixed was on to the ground so I called and went back and they fix my tire right away great customer service best experience ever! When I walked in, I stood at the front desk for about 10 minutes before anyone came to help me. I had an appointment at 4pm and they didn't take my car until 5:19. The man that worked at the front desk was outside smoking most of the time and door was open so some smoke was going into the building. I like town fair tire because they do have the best deals on tires! However, I will not be going to this location again. Nelson helped me so much! I walked in not sure what exactly was wrong with my tires ( other than thinking they are just popped). He walked with me to my car! About 900 ft.. examined it, told me exactly what to do. Gave advice. Took my car to the back. Tried to fix my tires. Turns out they were Unsalvageable. He did whatever he could to make sure that I would be able to get home safely! Stayed open later! And blessed me with putting on my new tires after I had gotten them a half hour after closing! I was here to get a quote on two tires, I was quoted a reasonable price from the salesman. I have been a customer here for 5 years and the salesmen are great. They are very knowledgeable, friendly and they have fantastic customer service skills. I have noticed the store is clean and organized from the waiting area to the restrooms. All the employees are willing to answer whatever question you may have. The guys upfront are great and I wouldn't go to any other Town Fair Tire. Also a big shout out to those turtles! I brought my truck in for service. When I went to pick it up I checked to make sure my GPS was still in the center console and it was missing. When I when in the store manager, Nelson Froia, said that I probably misplaced it or that I let someone borrow it. He suggested that I call the police. I asked for their 800 service number (1800-972-2245) and left. When I returned home I called I called the police and placed a police report. Then I called their 800 number and spoke with Rich Allen to file a complaint. About a half hour later I get a call from some shmuck stating that the store manager wanted to look in my truck and I refused which is completely un true. He argued with me until I finally hung up on him. I WOULD NOT DO BUSINESS WITH TOWN FAIR TIRE AGAIN IN MY LIFE!!! read more

I wish there were a zero star rating. I bought 4 tires from town faire online and had them installed in Pawtucket, in large part because of their 'free' snow tire change over policy. As it turns out, they will only change your snow tires if they are on rims, otherwise its $69. In my humble opinion, they should call it free snow WHEEL change over if they won't actually change your TIRES for free. Anyone will change your snow tires for $69. False advertising if you ask me. read more

I've had mixed experiences with this place. Fantastic or horrible .... nothing in between. I go there because it's walking distance from work. I'll start with the good: I had run over something in the road and got a flat. I had been driving on the spare for a while and I finally got a chance to drop off the flat for repair. The tire was kind of old so I asked them to "Repair or replace it. If you have to replace it, replace both front tires". They did neither. There was no hole in the tire. It had just popped lose from the rim. They re-mounted and re-balanced the tire for $8.00 when they could have easily had me spend $300 on 2 new tires. Now the bad: I had gotten front tires put on my car. I drove it for a couple of months and noticed that both of them were wearing unevenly. I brought the car in for the lifetime replacement or whatever it was. They wouldn't replace them because they said my front end was out of alignment. I asked if they did an alignment when I had the tires put on. They checked the paperwork and no, they didn't do an alignment. I said "What happened to the free front end alignment you get when you buy tires? It's on every piece of advertising I've ever seen." They said "You have to ask for it". I asked "Did you do the free balancing and mounting that you have advertised on the same sign with the free front end alignment?". They said "Yes". Things get a little fuzzy here but they weren't doing a very good job at explaining why some of the free items were automatic and some free items you had to ask for. We finally settled on me re-buying my month old tires at 50% off. I didn't really have a choice at that point ...... and..... they did the front end alignment without me asking. read more

This place is a joke. Found a nail in my tire and brought it here to get addressed on Thursday. They said the tire was shot and I needed a new one. Fine. They said the tire would be there the next day and to call around 1 to confirm. Ok, sounds good. As directed, I called back Friday at 1 and was told they didn't order the tire and it wouldn't be available till Saturday or Monday. I asked if I made an appointment for Monday if the tire would be there, they said yes so I booked the appointment. Showed up for my Monday appointment and was told the driver didn't go to get the tire yet. The driver was standing there and in the most unapologetic way possible said he just got back from vacation and was running behind. Was then told I could come back in half an hour and the tire should be there. Seriously. I waited over 1.5 and wasn't given any update. They clearly weren't working on it since I still had the keys and the car was in the parking lot. I went up to demand an update just as the driver came back with my tire. I'm now 2 hours into my wait and they are just getting started. I will never return to this location. They don't care about their customers at all. read more

Pro's: They treat you right with straight talk and great prices. Once I needed some after-market valve stem caps removed after corrosion caused them to stick, and the filed them off for free. Nice! Con's: The place is kind of dirty, and the staff does not seem to be very happy or engaged. Also, every time I go I need to wipe grease off my steering wheel, shift lever, door handle. While understandable, that is not acceptable. (Good thing my interior is black and not white.) A little more polish on the customer service side of things and these guys would get 5 stars from me. read more

Went in because my valve stem was vandalized and need replaced. Was informed I would have to replace the Tire Pressure sensor as well. Went to O'Riley up the road and $60 later came back with the new sensor/Valve Stem. Explained my old one was vandalized and i would like to hold onto it for further examination. Was told Okay. He never bothered to tell the technician and an hour and a half later my car is done and, surprise, they did not keep my old valve stem OR the chrome cap. I go back in to reiterate and get told "Oh just go around back and tell the techs" (not my job) so i tell the techs and they can't find it anywhere. I say "What about the cap?" He asked what it looked like i said "exactly like the three on the other wheels." They found the cap but not the valve. Then i get on the highway and find out my wheel is not balanced. Car is shaking horribly. Now i have to go to the dealer to sort it out properly, should have just gone there to begin with. I thought TFT could at least handle a valve stem, apparently not. read more

As I was talking to Jason he made me feel welcome and didn't pressure me into anything I didn't want. Have been three times. Once for a new set of tires for my SUV, once for a rotation and alignment, and once for a flat repair. Purchasing the new set went fine; they tried to upsell me, but I found the set I wanted at what I think was the best price on the market. The rotation was free, but they pushed hard to get me to buy an alignment (which I did, which cost something like $75). And the flat repair was also free. But the tech told me he couldn't get my spare back under the SUV, so he left it in the trunk. Thanks, guy. The real downside is that in exchange for acceptably low prices, you'll wait FOREVER. These guys say it'll be quick, and you'll spend an hour, 90 minutes, or even two hours sitting in that waiting room. I highly recommend you have a ride waiting and don't wait there for your service. There is nothing else to do in that plaza unless you want to people watch whole families pouring out of brand new Escalades with shiny rims to go into Dollar Tree. In my hours spent in that "waiting room" (a circle of crappy chairs around a soda machine and an old TV on one side of the warehouse), I also noticed these guys don't treat older/female customers well. They don't have good people skills, and don't explain things in laymans terms very well. You have to give them pushback to get exactly what you want. So don't send your elderly mom here, and don't send a friend here who doesn't know at least a little bit about tires, in other words. To add to the insult of the extreme wait time, I watched the front desk guy and a technician leave through the front entrance and go spend ten minutes in the aforementioned Dollar Tree for no particular reason, while four people waited for cars and one guy waited at the front desk. Customer service at its finest! Oh, and lastly, don't follow your GPS to their address. That'll bring you to the back garage. You want to be in the run down post-apocalyptic recession wasteland of a plaza side out front, which you enter through a different street. read more
