I made an online appointment on Friday the 10th of October for Monday the 13th. I received a conformation email shortly after submitting the request. I also received a "friendly" reminder text on Sunday about my appointment on Monday. Fast forward to Monday morning I arrived 15 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment at 8am. Imagine my surprise when I see a sign on the door that states they are closed. Amazing customer service. (sarcasm) I'm sure others had this same issue. This was my second visit to Henry's. First time was for suspension alignment on a built street rod that greatly improved drivability of vehicles. This trip was to installed five sets of tires and tubes for a British Touring Car going to a judged show soon. The front desk was great again in understanding my requirements and assigned Bud to the task. I can't say enough about how great a job Bud did both mounting and balancing my tires. He cared for and protected the condition of my old wheels as if they were from some high end expensive automobile. the British guy helped me this weekend and sent me to Warwick to get another tire because I needed two. The manager at this store was unprofessional and sold me a used tire with a nail in it when I tried to pay he just left me outside for a while with no words. I came back today and the British guy is here and took care of the nail as I explained I've been having to fill the tire all week due to the nail which I know now but when it was put on they didn't test it for water. 5 star review for customer service simple. I brought my Mercedes in last year for brakes. I expected to be sold a full set of brakes and rotors but they suggested just doing the rear because the front had about a year left on them. This month I brought my car back and they did the front, almost a year later. They charged me about half of what the dealer would have and also replaced the brake sensors in the front. Took five trips in and in the end I got one tire which I had to pay full price for. At first, the owner would not take responsibility that his worker who had put in the wrong valve. It didn't matter in the end that I was right. It took five trips, and I would never go back again. And I would encourage all my friends to go around the corner on East Main Street at a place called Boutique where you get much better prices and service. read more

I had a recall on my explorer today. While I was there, the man at the front desk talked me into an oil change special for 49.99 that came with a tire rotation. So I say sure! He calls me back to tell me that 3 of my tires need to be replaced I asked for some quotes for when I picked up the car. Oil change was done and I go in and somehow that $49.99 special cost me $85‍ He has some mechanic explanations, needless to say I wasn't too happy. I took my quotes and left. My husband says let's go to the place I got work done on the truck. So, after James @ Henry's Tire Service looked through all my options (way more than the three offered by the dealership) and quoted me hundreds less we decided to go with them. Of course our schedules didn't match up between me and my husband and James offered to have it done today and a few hours later I have 4 brand new tires with a warranty. James explained everything the other dealership didn't. Henry's had prices black and white with no hidden "complimentary" services and when I went into pick up the car I ended up with a $100 rebate again better than the $50 the dealership was offering. This company is a perfect example of why you should shop at mom and pop places opposed to the big chains. Better service, better prices and they don't walk all over you. I called Henry's after a disaster of an experience at another tire shop in Fall River, I wanted to make sure they had the size I was looking for. They in fact did! The first tire shop I went to insisted I only plug the tire even though I had a nail through my side wall. Even I know a tire is garbage when the side wall is tampered with! So Henry's it was! I showed up, the man reassured me that the tire needed to be replaced all together, he took my keys and within twenty minutes I had a "used" tire that looked brand new!! Everyone I dealt with was extremely pleasant, I will definitely go back and refer people to also go to Henry's!! read more

The wait was a bit long... However, I did not have an appointment, and they still told me to come in when I called. There were tons of people in and out. I think this goes to show what a good shop they are running. They had many customers and assisted all. The man I worked with found me a tire in the right budget (I had a flat and only had to purchase one tire) and helped me to think about finding tires for my next purchase. He advised me to look out for rebates and would honor 10% off with Fall River area employee discount. I felt I was in good hands. The absolute worst experience I've ever had with a shop of any kind in my entire life, and that's saying quite a bit. I took my rim in to be fixed. They called me to tell me that the tire was no good and would need to be replaced. I told them just needed to move my car a few miles and that I'd take care of the rest later. They not only refused to do that (which I can understand), but then they refused to finish the job I hired them to do and told me they don't deal with "customers like me" and told me to come get my tire. When I arrived, the manager was immediately hostile and refused to finish the job he started. They also gave me this story about how their welder broke just before finishing the job. The guy I talked to also stated that now I was kind of screwed now because they're the only ones who offer this service. Fortunately I got my property back from them without charge, the weld had actually been completed, and the only thing it needed was to be ground down. As someone who works with metal for a living, this last step in the process is easy enough for me to handle. I think they saw a guy with specialty rims and tires and decided that they could stick me for a much more expensive job, and when I refused to play their game, they tried to turn it around on me and make me seem like the stupid one. They guy I talked to threatened to kick my a%$ on the way out. By the way, I had another shop check the tire and they told me that it was still in decent enough condition. Bottom line, these people are crooks. Don't go to Henry's. read more

First off, let me say, the guy at the front was a ignorant ass!!!  (I felt like I was dismissed because I am a woman) I brought my 2010 chrystler seabring there to have tires installed, my back tires also needed valve stems, the car took literally hours, so the end of the day nears, I call, he proceeds to tell me they have changed the valve stems all the way around the car, I told him I had only wanted the backs changed, I asked the price and unfortunately I didn't have enough money to pay for it, and the place was closing and i needed my car.  so the guy proceeded to put my car back on the lift pulled the new stem valves outta the front tires and put on the old ones back on, so here it is 6 months later, my tire pressure light comes on, so I proceed to put air in the front tire, I then noticed the front valve stems, the thread of the stem was all crushed, the stem cap couldn't even twist on, it just pulled straight off, stem was all bent....shame on them for letting it go like that....weather I had the money to pay for it of not, they damaged the old stems, and then put them back on my car!!!   Iam super pissed!!!  And the guy behind the counter says "well we must have had a lil mis communication"  NO there was no mis communication, I told them JUST THE BACK TIRE STEMS OVER N OVER, so they did what they wanted to do, without consulting with me first......HENERYS TIRE SUCKS, I will NEVER give them another dollar of my business....... read more

Darrin, you said in your post that you could understand why they would not put a bad tire,back on a bad wheel ,back onto your vehicle....because it is a liability....sounds like responsible shop owners to me....and anyone who knows the owners knows that hostile is probably the last word they would use to describe them. The problem shop owners have is everybody thinks they are an expert....I could never in a million years picture the manager yell he would kick your ass...this is comical to me.
