I'm so disappointed with the service I DID NOT EVEN RECEIVE! They are contracted with AAA. I have used them in the past with no problem. I waited an hour for a tow truck which was fine but the driver wouldn't even take my car. I had told them that I had broke my oil pan and the oil came out of the car. I also asked for a flatbed truck since my car is lowered. The guy came looked at the car and the oil on the ground and straight up told me he won't take it. He told me he didn't want to take it because he didn't wanna get oil on his truck. He was so rude and unprofessional. Then he told me I need to call someone else because he WILL NOT take the car. I overheard him on the phone explaining he didn't want to clean it. He legit left me here stranded after I waited and told me to call someone else. I then had to call AAA to tell them what happened. They lied and said the guy told me it was a liability issue since the car is low and they didn't want to break it more. This was definitely bullshit since he said it was because of the oil. I agreed to sign a waiver and they said someone will be there in 2 HOURS! I waited two flippin hours just to get a call that said they won't come at all because I'm a liability. Like I said before I have cracked my oil pan before and AAA called towex to get me. I have had no problem before? I never had to sign a waiver. The guy was just a rude ass who didn't wanna clean oil. Called AAA for roadside service. They sent out this company and their driver (STEVE) middle eastern dude:. My problem. My truck was stuck in the muddy grass. (No traction) just needed to be pulled back literally 2 feet. First thing driver says before getting out of truck. "It isn't gonna be covered under AAA. " I said why? He said it is further than 50 yards away. I said.. you're crazy!! It's 20 FEET ..max!! He didn't want to be bothered it seemed. Instead all he did was get out of the truck to take pictures. And tell me he couldn't do anything. I told him. You're what's wrong with people. You CAN help. You just choose not to! It would ya e taken 5 minutes to hook up the winch and pull my truck out. Thank you, Towex, for a painless resolution to a flat tire. The driver arrived within THREE minutes of my call to AAA. We thought the flat was from hitting a bad pothole but he discovered a large piece of metal embedded in the tire. He was able to repair and refill the tire on the spot in about five minutes. Because the hole was so large, he recommended that I take the car to my tire shop to make sure it would be okay to continue driving on it. I just witnessed Toe Ex driving like a crazy animal on the 805 S. After he was uncomfortably tailgating me, he used an exit lane on the right to pass me and another car in front of me. He drove over a median to merge back onto the freeway while nearly hitting the vehicle in front of me with the back of his tow truck. Yikes! So I was bringing a customers car back to them not realizing that her vehicle had 30 miles before empty. I was not familiar with Rancho Santa Fe at all... Made a turn here and there looking for a gas station to find the cost one was 5 miles away only problem was I had been driving on 0 miles till empty for the last 10 minutes so 5 miles want gonna happen. Pulled over called AAA they said about 30 minutes, ugh ok. I was delivering the vehicle after work so I was a little frustrated in myself lol not stopping when I had exited the freeway. Sam installed the correct battery, cleaned the terminals and connectors and generally made certain that everything was OK. Battery was good one day, would not start the car the next. Called AAA which sent Towex. The tech jump starts our car, runs the test perfunctorily ignoring every indicated step such as "Rev engine and hold" -- but does get a printout showing test results which he takes with him -- and leaves telling me to just drive the car for maybe 30 minutes to recharge the battery, telling me "usually that's all it needs the first time". He doesn't leave any paperwork with me. As instructed, I ran the engine and drove the car (without stopping) for 30 minutes. Parked the car. Tried to start the car 45 minutes later and -- of course -- battery dead. Avoid this outfit if at all possible (unfortunately AAA might send them). read more

Worst towing experience ever! These people refused to tow my truck, the said it was to heavy. I spoke with the dispatcher at aaa, and they said it was fine. The driver showed up looked at it and said it was oversized. An hour and a half later it was picked up by a smaller tow truck. When I called to complain the pretended the phone didn't work. Awesome! Take my advice. Any time you're dealing with a tow service, be sure to call them back to remind them of your situation. It's very common for them to completely forget about you. When that happens, the 30 minutes they told you it would take becomes over an hour :( read more

They said they would take 1/2 hour to pick me up. 55 minutes later I called & the guy had trouble finding my name, then said they would send someone in 1/2 hour & I was only 3 miles away, so I cancelled. Not happy with this Towing Service at all-they filed a lien on my car after an accident even though I had given them a release to my insurance company. When I called to get it straightened out the answer I received was "I wasn't here that day". I asked for someone to call me and no return calls. Would give zero if I could. AAA had these guys come out to check my battery on two separate occasions after stalling. I was told twice that my battery was fine by these guys and provided with a receipt that showed the "read" was battery in good shape. My mechanic told me differently. One of these instances was today. I called AAA again and asked for a different company to provide the service. The other company's battery diagnosis agreed with my mechanic. Bad battery.
