If incompetence were an Olympic sport, Loyal Towing would be standing on the podium--medal polished, anthem blaring, and absolutely no self-awareness in sight. This rating is solely for the office staff/dispatch. Honesty and customer service is not part of their business model. In speaking with Brenda and/or Karen, basic questions were met with lies, attitude, or indifference. Their best tow driver whom delivered my vehicle also expressed concerns about their unprofessionalism and condescending behavior. The reason for the delay in arriving ? Pure fiction. Dispatch stated "there was traffic" and it really turned out to be that they added another vehicle pick up to my AAA service call. The tow driver stated that the office staff was not truthful and should have communicated this to me. When the truck finally did show up, my vehicle was not on a flatbed and the experience got worse. My vehicle was towed for 70+ miles on a wheel-lift. It was picked up first and placed on a flatbed, then transferred to a wheel-lift upon pick-up of a second vehicle. Just awful. In speaking with AAA, they were livid and advised me to inspect the vehicle for damage as a flatbed was requested on the tow order. If you enjoy being treated like a second class citizen, this is the company for you. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and look literally anywhere else. read more

Local law enforcement using this towing company should be ashamed of partnering these dishonest people. I had to get a release form from the police department prior to getting the vehicle back. However being that it was Sunday and Monday the police department and dmv was not open to get said release form. This towing company did not care. Even though it is illegal to charge daily impound fees for days each day they are closed for business, like holidays and weekends. I spoke with a worker named Nancy, she gave me a price for how much it would be for the 3 days (including the weekend and holiday) and total cost. I was then charged an extra $70 for a "lien fee". Even though no lien fee is stated above in the prices and services for Coronado police. And was told " sorry no Nancy works here, pay the $505 dollars or don't get your car back" after I handed all documentation. The police department was so appalled by this and how the towing company will charge you $120-150 just to grab anything out of the vehicle, even documentation like registration. the Coronado police station waived their fee for the release form and will be dropping this company's contract because of how frequent this happens. Finally, do not sign the paperwork without reading the last line where it states you cannot take them to court for the illegal price charging and fees. So they are aware of what they are doing. Truly disgusting behavior and very unprofessional. They will only act the way because they know they get income from local law enforcement so they don't need to be honorable or even decent. Absolutely horrible experience with Loyal Towing. I scheduled a tow for my Tesla Model S days in advance, confirming with their representative that they had all the necessary equipment to tow a Tesla with no power. When I called on the day of the tow to confirm, the same rep suddenly changed her tune, saying, "Whatever equipment the driver has is whatever he has." When I pushed back--citing Tesla's own towing requirements--she abruptly canceled my tow without informing me, and I only found out through AAA. When I called back to ask why, she spoke over me, refused to give me her name, and then hung up. Because of this unprofessional and petty behavior, I lost half a day's pay waiting for a tow that never came. If you're looking for reliable, professional service--look elsewhere. I will be reporting this company to Tesla. Avoid at all costs. read more

Picked up my vehicle and noticed fresh rub marks on my car and when the manager arrived he immediately began accusing me of trying to rip them off and just began escalating the situation by saying "get the Fu**" out of here, while still holding onto my vehicle after storage fees were paid and the vehicle was to be released. A simple question and concern raised created a hostile environment where I had to repeatedly ask for my keys so I could leave with my vehicle. Very unprofessional business, Price gouging, clearly quoted us a flat rate over the phone and once the service was provided the fees skyrocketed and at that point there was no choice other than to pay it to get my vehicle. In the absolute fiasco that my evening was yesterday, Loyal Towing and their driver Andy were absolutely outstanding to deal with. To give some backstory - around 4 PM, I requested a tow through AAA, which was assigned to another company, Advantage Towing. Without notifying me, Advantage canceled my towing request, then canceled a second request sent through AAA as well. Their reasoning? The vehicle cannot be towed without "specialty equipment", when all we needed was a flatbed due to the vehicle being quite low to the ground. So - after over four hours of being stranded while getting the runaround from both Advantage Towing and AAA, AAA finally reassigns my tow to Loyal Towing shortly after 8 PM. Within minutes, I received a call from Loyal Towing's dispatcher, who was very nice and friendly, and a call from Andy as well to confirm the location. In less than 30 minutes, Andy was on site (with a flatbed!), had the vehicle securely loaded up and ready to go. He brought it up to the shop, unloaded it with care, and sent us on our way. Whole process took an hour! Without Loyal Towing, I'm pretty sure we'd still be sitting down there waiting for a tow that wasn't coming. And absolutely huge shoutout to Andy for being so pleasant to deal with in the midst of the fiasco caused by AAA and Advantage towing. Daniel is responsible for my single worst experience with triple A. I was waiting for 2 hours on the side of the road. He called, told me he would be there within the next hour. A lovely neighbor saw me waiting and invited me in for water. He called at 3:19 to say he was here. I called back at 3:21, asking where he was, and he said "we waited for 20 minutes for you, so I cleared the AAA request. He was incredible cold, and said "We got this call from another tow company, so it sounds like you have been flakey all day". After a miserable experience with AAA It all turned around when Alexis arrived. He was not the flatbed tow I needed but he knew I had been waiting since 10am. He came to take the pictures and get all the paperwork ready in advance. He was very kind and didn't seem to mind dealing with a cranky old lady. Soon after Adrien arrived with the flatbed. Thomas - you are the man!! I'm sitting here at mission bay park, trying to enjoy a few mins with my wife and puppy while in the car looking out at the water, and the car won't start. Thomas got here in 15 mins, jumped it with his jump box (which I'll be buying - $60 purchase, all info I knew nothing about until Thomas told me) and I'll be ditching my pathetic jumper cables.
