My vehicle was towed from my residential complex despite being in compliance with the lease requirement that vehicles be moved every seven days. My car was cited and later towed after being parked in multiple locations, confirming that the vehicle was being actively moved. At the time of the tow, the vehicle had been parked in its most recent location for only two days. Prior to the tow, I contacted the towing company directly to express concerns about receiving tow warnings even though my vehicle was being moved within the required timeframe. I did not receive assistance or clarification at that time. Based on the pattern of repeated warnings and the tow across different parking locations, enforcement appeared to rely on the presence of prior warning stickers or vehicle recognition rather than a verification of a current parking violation. The tow paperwork also classified my vehicle as "non-operational" despite the fact that it was being driven regularly and cited in different locations over time. After the tow, when I contacted my leasing office, the staff member was unable to locate a record of the tow in their system. I had to call the towing company myself to confirm my vehicle was there. This raised questions about authorization and documentation. When I requested documentation from the towing company, the tow authorization relied on a "first observed" date that did not account for the vehicle's movement or the multiple parking locations involved. After I escalated and questioned the legality of the tow, all towing and storage fees were waived, confirming that the tow could not be supported. I still had to take time off work resulting in lost wages and had to pay for an Uber to the the location to retrieve my vehicle after their bad faith and negligent tow. I'm leaving this review to note concerns about verification, documentation accuracy and enforcement practices. Frustrating evening... I went to USPS in Coronado around 4:15pm today, and around 4:45pm my car got towed from the USPS parking lot. I parked next to a big Ford F150 - that had apparently had been there since 10am. Someone in the post office called Westen Towing to tow the truck, and the idiot driver mistook my 4 door sedan for a Ford F150 truck! #WTF Both USPS & the tow company admitted that the wrong car was towed, and I would not have to pay to get my car... however they forgot to tell the cashier! Dangerous, Unprofessional & Intimidating Experience I recently had an extremely disturbing experience with a driver from Western Towing in Oceanside driver name is ROBERT. In my personal opinion, this was the most unprofessional and reckless tow operator I've ever encountered. The driver was aggressive, hostile, and verbally abusive, even cursing at me and calling me names when I questioned what he was doing. The way he spoke to me as a woman and homeowner was unbelievably disrespectful. Worst of all, he attempted to tow a vehicle while my friend was still inside the car and another person was underneath working on it. The level of danger and carelessness was shocking -- someone could have been seriously hurt. His behavior escalated to the point where he made intimidating gestures, throwing up gang signs at us & acted like he was trying to start a fight with my friends, and tried to pressure and threaten us by saying I could "get kicked out of my house" if I didn't admit fault and allow the tow. It felt like pure intimidation and abuse of authority. Because of how reckless and threatening the situation felt, the police were called. When officers arrived and saw what was happening, they ordered him to put the car down immediately. That alone tells you everything you need to know about how out-of-line this situation was. This was hands-down the most unprofessional, unsafe, and hostile experience I've ever had with any service provider. I strongly hope this company reviews who they hire and trains their staff properly -- because what I witnessed was completely unacceptable and dangerous. read more

This company towed a vehicle that had been re-parked in the same place and belonged to a disabled woman. Not only that, we have a note with the office so if the tow truck checks in, they know she is disabled and can not regularly move her vehicle. This clearly did not happen. As a result, they made off with her vehicle and most importantly, her wheelchair. She was on her way to an appointment when she found out and had to be taken to the appointment without the chair. The young man behind the window was extremely nice. I wanted to take a picture of my car. He walked me to the back allowed me to take a picture. go back up front I paid and got my car back. So my story with western towing is my car was parked in the wrong spot of a parking lot. They towed it. So I went to retrieve it but the short Hispanic girl, was just rude. I had my car towed while visiting a friend at her apartment complex. When i went to go pick it up I noticed scratches and scrapes with white paint on my driver side door and mirror! There was also a big clean spot where they tried to wipe it off. Had I not checked my vehicle before driving away I would've been stuck paying out of pocket for the damages. There is no accountability or responsibility for anything on their part. I find that very shady and deceptive especially for a business. The whole experience has been absolutely ridiculous. I am all for people facing repercussions if they do not follow the rules. However, this company is a predatory towing scam. We saw multiple spotters scavenging the shopping plaza in several locations. They are like vultures watching your every move. They "patrol" or "satellite" their victims and tip tow truck drivers. This is unethical and illegal. However, this company tries to trick the system by having "Parking Enforcement Employees", which is just a BS fancy title for the illegal spotters. I made sure to get to their facility ASAP to avoid any additional unreasonable fees. I arrived at the towing company 10 minutes after they took my car. I have the time stamps of my Uber ride and the alarm on my car app when they took my vehicle. They gave me a bill of $390.00. When I asked for the breakdown of this atrocious charge, they told me there is a $60.00/day fee for "storage". I told them there was no "storage". My car wasn't even on their facility for more than 10 minutes. They argued back saying when a vehicle touches their property, it is automatically considered "storage". Unbelievable. They really try to squeeze out every cent they can out of their victims' wallets. They charged me another $100.00 for an "after hours release fee". How does that make any sense? You guys supposedly close at 5 PM, but are all here "working after hours" in the middle of the night. Of course it would make sense to charge a $100.00 after hours fee for every vehicle you find. I bet there are more employees working "after hours" than during "open" hours. I saw 6-7 of your employees working diligently in the middle of the night to get their share of the extra profit. If your company followed the rules, then I wouldn't complain. However, as witnessed and experienced by the other victims on here, it is obvious that your scam company uses shady techniques to profit as much as possible. To the employees working here: I know you guys are trying to make a living, but does it really feel ethical to work for a company like this? What they don't tell you is that the second it "hits the lot," it's considered "one day storage." I asked the attendant there how one could pay just $270, and she says that never happens. So change the damn cost to $340. Had car towed, and when I got it back, there was damage on the passenger side. Entire length of the back door and on the aft panel was a quarter size hole in the sheet metal with a 12" gouge that followed. If there was a 0 rating, that's what they'd get. read more
