I was in a pretty severe car accident (my shit got ROCKED) and my car was totaled and towed here. No complaints at all given the situation. Staff were super friendly, wearing masks, etc. They don't let you take anything requiring tools out of your vehicle but other than that getting stuff out was easy and they leave you alone. One of the guys helped pry open my trunk to retrieve some golf clubs. The tow yard is as expected which is to say lots of banged up cars but it doesn't feel unsafe, ie no glass or random pieces of metal littering the area that I saw. Overall 5/5 experience that lessened an already very stressful situation. PS Beware big ass trucks driving on Miramar that don't feel like stopping at red lights and plow into your Civic that you've had for a million years. read more

I had a horrible experience with the owner of this towing company. I was in a car accident 7 months ago, this dude showed ZERO empathy, ended up charging us over $2,000 for storage fees, ended up settling it with a lawyer and pay out pocket. This towing company is pathetic, I hope no one has to experience what I had to go through with them. You would think they would drop the fees after the drama and medical emergencies, but they ended up taking us to small claims court. Please avoid this towing company at all cost! read more

they came super quick and saved me from getting smashed on the side of the freeway. eddie was so hot and helpful

Horrible service, as a tow truck driver/operator, you should be well versed in batteries, tires and overall road side assistance. This company will never be used again nor will I suggest them to anyone. read more

Avoid this towing service at all cost! Be CAREFUL they put a LIEN SALE on your car even it only stays with them less than 5 days. It operated like a scam. My car was involved in an accident on a Thursday night and police office ordered this towing. My insurance company picked up the car next Tuesday. Car only stayed in their yard for 5 days including a weekend. And Guardian towing filed a lien sale on the car. Of course they was never able to start the lien sale as my insurance just paid them the towing bill and towed the car away in the third business day. Probably their purpose is to charge an additional $70 lien document fee so they need to put car on lien as soon as possible. This is like a scam. The result is DMV put a license stop on title and thinks there is title dispute and lien in my title. We just found they filed a lien on my title after half year later when we found we can't renew registration. We had to spent hours in DMV to do the vehicle ownership verification to remove the lien this shady towing company added read more

Still receiving a one star because you are accusing us of calling you names after you could have simply directed us in the right direction (IE: going on the DMV website to retrieve the title for $2) rather than being an unhelpful associate. Not only that but you were EXTREMELY RUDE Bella while your boss was so much more professional. Working in the customer service industry is a pain but understanding your customers and having some sympathy for certain situations could go a long way. Secondly, I find it absolutely ridiculous you claimed we didn't want to pay after I insisted we pay before you guys close so you wouldn't rack up the bill. Even this you didn't allow. You were and still ARE rude (clearly) and I'm appalled you tried to defend your case and neglect the fact at how unappealing you were. You didn't smile, very rude, and had a horrible attitude when we plead our case. Rather than being kind and understanding as we just had OUR trailer stolen you were an absolute miserable person to help us. You guys also claimed we were missing the title name yet forgot to disclose we could receive the title information on the DMV website. Did you also forget when we tried to retrieve the title and asked what time you closed you said, "You guys better get your title quick, we close shop at 5 better hurry up before I lock doors." Please do not try to hide the facts. You were absolutely rude. You were unhelpful. You guys knew it was a stolen trailer and had 0 sympathy. Your place is extremely unprofessional and I've heard from many locals the crap system you guys run. Ali was much better than you Bella. Learn how to smile it goes a long way. Our car got stolen from our parking garage a couple days ago and after being found was towed by them. Told us it would be $250 to pick up the car after hours or $300 in the morning. Came the next morning to pay the $300 and the car would not turn over. Offered to tow it to the house or park it on the street where they put it in the red zone. They only told us what was wrong with the car after AAA started towing it. Overcharged for a stolen car and ended up paying more. ***update*** "...you're right we did put it in a red zone, just because we know that your tow is arriving shortly" We never discussed with this business what we were going to do with our vehicle after they placed it there. As we sat on the street accepting it was placed there to be put right back in the their system. Changed from two stars to one star for poor management in customer service. read more

Hands down the best towing company in San Diego. Honest, professional, timely, and an absolute pleasure to work with. Highly recommend. A+++

So I was recently in a car accident and had to have the police call me a tow and this is who came. They were hoe salty really nice. The tow guy who came was polite and worked quickly. I did end up having to pick up the car later that day unfortunately but the office woman I spoke to was very polite and answered all my questions. The only thing that I didn't like was she was the only person in the office to help so it took me about 30 to just sign my paperwork so I could take my car. read more

I was ther on a Friday, told the employee I'll be back tomorrow to get my vehicle. She just said ok, knowing there not going to be open. There hours listed on Google maps are not accurate they are really only open M-F. Because of this my vehicle had to be here an extra 2 days for no reason. If it's after hours their number that's listed is no help. There is no one there to help and they want $100 for anything after hours to do with your vehicle read more

Complete crooks. My car was needing towed out of a ditch but the truck that arrived wasn't large enough to tow it supposedly. The driver reeked of alcohol and did nothing as we waited 2.5 hours for the other truck. Then they wanted $550.00 to let me have my car back stating that even though the truck that was there wasn't bug enough that it was out of service this whole time and I needed to pay for it. I own a 1973 DeTomaso Pantera and decided to take the car to my work in Mira Mesa from Temecula one day. Everything was going well and the car ran flawlessly the whole way. However, when it came time to return home, the typical problems that go along with a car like this reared their ugly heads. A few miles from the office, the car decided to misbehave, producing two very loud backfires and a couple of jets of fire out of the exhaust before giving up completely. Fortunately I was able to get the car off the road safely. The car is not something you can just hook up to a dolly or nose up and drag the car home. I can only use a flatbed for towing. So, after a few disappointing calls to some other companies in town (including one rude lady who said they'd be happy to get me a flatbed the following morning), I got a hold of Guardian Towing. My experience was nothing short of amazing. In less than 20 minutes, the owner of the company was at my car with a flatbed truck. My beautiful, yet highly temperamental Italian classic exotic was handled with extreme care during the loading and securing process. The tow clear back out to Temecula wasn't cheap, nor should it have been. However, my biggest take away from that tow was not the price, but rather the experience which has left a lasting impression on me. During the long ride back home, we exchanged tales of cars, motorcycles, poor decisions we'd made that got us some expensive traffic tickets, and even some personal stories. All in all, the experience was worth more to me than the cost of the tow and I couldn't be happier with the handling of the situation. read more

Car was towed there after a car accident. They agreed to credit (1) day of Storage ($41.), so I could get Title of car from OC to have it towed out to a salvage yard, as agreed too by Ali the Manager. Then went to pay bill and they claimed it was only, if I give them the title and not the Salvage company I had agreed to sell the car too. DO NOT USE THEM!!! A buddy of mine called his road side assistance number to help get his car off of a dirt curb he was stuck. I was called when no truck showed up after 2.5 hours. Even though the call was cancelled through the insurance company; Guardian did show up. It was a good thing they did, as my straps weren't enough to get his car off the curb. With another phone call and turning the "assistance request" back on, Davis picked up my buddies car and got him on his way. 1 star off for not voicing your professional opinion and telling me my straps wouldn't hold... Thanks for showing, despite the insurance company cancel, and thanks for looking out for the safety of everyone involved! If I ever need to call I will ask for your company! Sláinte! read more

I called since it told me they were less than 5 miles away from me. I had a blowout and was on the left hand side of a very busy freeway. The dispatch lady who helped me took down where I was on the freeway, and the direction, exit, etc. and stated it would take 15 to 20 minutes. She also stated the hookup was $80 and $8 dollars a mile. After 18 minutes the tow truck driver calls and states its 15 to 20 minutes before he arrives and then gives me lip when I question this with him. He showed up 18 minutes later after having to turn around because he stated the dispatcher did not tell him I was on the left hand of the freeway. I called back the company only to find out dispatchers are everywhere and there is no headquarters or common dispatch unit. After the tow truck driver puts the vehicle on his flatbed, and we get in the truck, he states its $85 for the hookup. read more

I was in an accident Friday and taken directly to the hospital. The police arranged towing through these criminals. Their site says 24 hours but if you call you get no answer, just an out going voicemail that says in order to retrieve items from your car outside of M-F from 9-5 (FROM an advertised 24/7 company) you must pay them $100. This is quite literally highway robbery. This is unethical and I can't believe the police partner with these guys. I understand there is a need to make a profit, however Guardian Towing and their reps are a rip off, and look to take advantage of folks already in a bad situation. They worked hard at convincing you they the insurance folks will be there in the morning and them taking the car to their place will make things easy, and look to be shady about telling you the cost involved. Most businesses will give you a pricing expectation and invoice/other, not them... Here's what I got with vague explanation of the charges: - Hook-up $178 - Dolly/FB $47 - Labor/Standby $18 - Storage 2x $76 (keep in mind this was from 12am-8am (8hrs).... - Miscel./City $22 Total $341 Ridiculous! The only justifiable charge is the Labor, stay away from doing business with Guardian Towing. They make it their business to rip you off. read more

Guardian Towing came earlier than expected, within about 20 minutes--an automated AAA service call to tell me the towing service was on the way but the Guardian Towing rep had already arrived! He was a nice guy who quickly changed to my spare, added air to it, and made sure I re-entered the freeway safely since I was stuck in a tight emergency lane on the side. For this great customer service experienced, I'm giving 4 stars. read more

I got into a car accident yesterday and had Guardian Towing come to pick up my Audi. I was pretty shaken up as I was hit pretty hard by someone that ran through a red light. They were very quick to arrive and the tow driver was really knowledgable and professional. Insurance company was trying claim my car as a salvage without even looking at it and sent a tow truck to pickup my car from Guardian. This was after talking with the insurance company and stating that the car wasn't to go to a salvage yard until we got a second opinion. We specifically told a very helpful employee, Amber, not to release the car to anyone without our consent. From what I heard, she stood her ground with the tow truck driver and did not let him take the car, even after him being persistent. Tow yards have a reputation for being dishonest or for people getting things stolen from their car, but that is not the case for Guardian. I trust them 100%. All of my belongings were still in the same place, and nothing was missing. They even had my car parked inside of a garage instead of some dusty lot. Amber is amazing and deserves some recognition for her hard work! I cant thank you enough, Amber! Thank you Guardian Towing and staff! read more

I've delt with a hand full of towing companies and Guardian Towing is by far the best! My mother got in a car accident and got rushed in to the E.R! I was at work while this happened. Beware, they're good in ripping off people in need. I was involved in an accident (not my fault) and they towed my car. They refused to tow it in my garage, so I had no other option. read more

Wonderful company to work with. I was stuck on the freeway and was picked up by their crew. Ali was the driver who was a great help and very fast. These guys rescued my son and I when my car couldn't quite make it to the mechanics and lame AAA had me on hold forever! The operator who took our info was friendly and let us know a driver would get to us within 25 mins. Our driver/hero Matt showed up just in the nick of time, it started to rain. Hooked up the car got us buckled in safely. he was friendly, made my usually grumpy infant son smile, drove safely in the rain to our destination, and gave me some helpful car related tips :) Their rates are reasonable considering how quickly and efficiently they helped us out! So grateful and thankful! read more

These guys refused me access to my vehicle to retrieve my garage door opener and other belongings after it was towed there from an accident scene unless I paid them $100. I initially thought it was a good thing when I learned from police the day after I was rear ended that Guardian Towing had my vehicle. I called to ask about getting my belongings from my car on Friday and was told they are open til 4:30. When I didn't get a rental vehicle in time, I decided not to panic, I could just go get my things Saturday morning. I didn't have anything to park in the garage anyway. So this morning, Saturday, I got my rental car and went directly to Guardian but they were closed! Why wasn't I informed on the phone yesterday that if I didn't make it by 4:30 I'd have to wait until Monday or pay a large fee? And why do towing companies have the power to deny access to your vehicle or property within it? When I called to try to gain access, the man I spoke with was very rude with me. He tried to blame SD police for the problem first, then said it was the law. I told him I didn't believe there were laws restricting when people could access their cars after being towed from an accident scene and there are no laws saying they should charge anyone to retrieve their belongings. He continued to say he could only help me for $100. This is unacceptable. It's bad enough that I was hit, injured, hospitalized, lost the use of my vehicle, and went through all the other bs but now Guardian Towing is holding my property for ransom. I can't open my garage and I have no other parking space and have other items in my vehicle that I need. Way to go, Guardian... way to take advantage of people who are already in a tough spot. You suck balls. read more
