There are young kids running rampant, parties every weekend night... The management cannot do anything even though there are quiet hours it is no use. I have been living here for the past 2 years and I absolutely love it. I'm not sure if I just got lucky, but building 1 is definitely great. The front desk workers are very friendly and will help you out if your packages are missing. When my package was sent to another building, the front desk guy (Leroy) found it and tried to deliver it to my door because he knew that I really needed my package. He didn't have to come to my door, but it was a sincere gesture to come up and deliver it! The parking is very convenient and they offer carts to help you bring up your groceries from your car. The gym is pretty functional- it also has a raquetball court and a basketball court which is nice. I don't use the gym but when I need to, it's there! They also offer zumba classes and such during the weekday. In regards to maintenance, they are usually good about handling things within the week of the request. Sometimes I have to call a few times because they end up not coming, but some days they finish the job day-of. But most of the times they are good with follow up. I live on the lower levels of the building and during the fall season, I have semi-major issues with crickets. I'm not a big complainer so it's a manageable problem considering the location of my apartment. The exterminators come and set up traps and they are usually effective. Otherwise I don't have any issues with pests. Location: Perfect location for university students! I live right across my university so it is a GREAT location to commute from (less than 2 min drive usually! If you don't have a car, they have a shuttle system that will drop you at school or the train station) The apartments are also close to Target, Aldi, Shoprite, Walmart, and literally EVERYTHING. Plus there's a train station about 2 miles down Easton Road so I can go to the city whenever I want. If I want to drive to center city, I can just drive there within 30-40 minutes. This location is very ideal and highly recommended for university students. It is at the end of 309, close to roosevelt blvd, and 10 minutes from Penna Turnpike. There's also Hmart and a bunch of other shopping places available. I love living here because I'm close to everything. Safety: 98% of the time I feel safe living here. There are a lot of old people and families who live in my building, so it's definitely not a place for low-income/sketchy residents. Rent is fair for the amenities provided. I really enjoyed living in Towers. Not every apartment complex is going to be perfect, but I have no major complaints about my time here. The place gave me everything I needed as a graduate student. I would recommend this place to anyone! If you're not sure about living here, just go for a tour and take a look. Classic 1950's design. Was the standard for apartment living until the 90's when it went through a few owners & when that happens small maintenance issues do not get fixed & they turn into bigger problems that are faced with today. I recently visited a childhood friend that returned home and set up shop here. Security now is a bit tighter( in todays world that is good for the tennants ), the apartment still had many original features ( including the carpets..LOL ), but for what he is paying i guess it's a good deal versus others in the area. I sweat the same bathroom features are the same ones that i first saw back in the 60's, which maybe a good thing, many new things are crap and break within several years of purchase. The unit was ok otherwise. But in my mind what you pay for rent here, you could easily afford a mortgage on a house. The complex should consider going condo. read more

We've been here for LESS THAN A MONTH and our vehicle was towed (despite the fact that we pay extra monthly for a parking pass) when it was parked in a LEGAL spot. Linda at the leasing office is horribly unprofessional and it is apparently clear that this management company DOES NOT care about their residents enough to rectify this situation. I do not recommend this place. I agree with MANY of the other reviews regarding the unprofessionalism of the staff, unresponsive maintenance and bad traffic/ illegal activity. I saw drug paraphernalia in the stairway and the halls/ elevators smell of marijuana and garbage quite often. Staff is very nice when trying to convince you to move in, though they are very unresponsive- you'll have to keep calling them for any updates. After you move in the office staff can be extremely ignorant. Gate security will let everyone in with No questions asked!! Very poor customer service across the board. I had recently inquired about this place spoke with someone in the leasing office for a Move in May 1st unfortunately we were told that we still needed to put down a $500.00 deposit without even seeing the apartment because its rented out so put down deposit, I was interested in viewing the area because I do have Small Children I witnessed a drug transfer in building 1 (which would be the building I would be moving into) and did'nt like the traffic that went in and out of building 1. Don't even think about moving here! My experience here has been the absolute worst. I had a 12-month lease, but this place was so terrible I moved out in just 10 months and just paid them until my lease was over. Listed below are the reasons I will not recommend the Towers.... Residents must pay all utilities (Including trash, sewage, cold water, electric, hot water!) Limited parking (and it becomes way worse during the snow season) Snow removal barely cleans the lot and will leave mountains of snow in front of people's cars The Roaches The mice ALL the staff here are rude! You will see unprofessional emails that go out to the entire complex that do not look as though they have been approved through management. It's always loud (I couldn't work from home!) Maintenance broke things in my apartment and left my door unlocked/open all day There was a fire in my apartment and maintenance blew me off. An Electrician came out 2 weeks later and confirmed my neighbor 2 floors up washing machine leaked within the walls and created the fire behind the walls. Neighbors are loud/ Children run through the hallways My car was severely side swiped in the Parking lot twice (I have pictures!) Christopher Benitez, Peggy, and Mary Houser in the office did not handle this situation properly. The hallways always reek of trash. Every morning people who do not live in the apartments drop their kids off in the lobby so that their kids can go to the local school in the Cheltenham school district. During the summer months random kids will be in the pool. So many kids that you will think it was a summer camp. Security is a joke. They will let anyone in! People often tailgate to make it through the security gate. People often come through the loading dock and side door (because they are never locked) Random people in the hallways. People always walk onto the property and into the building. Never on time- I scheduled to do my final walk through of the place with maintenance right before I had to go to work and they never showed up! I had to call Sheila Crockett repeatedly to send someone (but I had to miss work because they showed up so late) This place is a complete scam! - I paid all final bills one week prior to the termination of my lease and I was told I was going to receive my full deposit back. As expected from this place, I only received a portion. The excuse I received from Joyce was it went towards utilities. Now I must go back to corporate to get my remaining $60 they stole!!!! I can continue to go on with what is wrong with this place! The take away here is this place was a terrible from the very beginning and not worth the money and stress! There are so many things wrong with this place, starting with the maintenance staff and the leasing agents. My roommates and I moved into a "new" apartment only to find out that half of the amenities were already broken. The front door wouldn't close properly, our bathroom sink was clogged as soon as we started using it, and our dishwasher would not close because it was falling out of its pocket. Eventually, water built up in our dishwasher and was leaking all over our floor uncontrollably. The 24/7 maintenance staff didn't show up until the next day. We have called maintenance 6 times to fix our dishwasher, but all they do is tweak something so it only works for a few days. We do not understand why we are paying ridiculous rent prices for amenities that don't work and staff that can't ever do their job properly. Don't live here. read more

Having lived there for 3 years, I can judge this honestly and have the experience with each department to justify this rating. I must say that it was not a enjoyable experience however as a college student on a budget, you don't have many options in the area if you don't have a car. Management and Leasing Agents: horrible to work with, and absolute disaster and uneducated group. Initially when getting the apartment, the layout was completely different from the room we were given and had no washer or dryer despite being told so (we'd been told via conversation but found out it was not on the lease). Every year our rent increased by $100 dollars without being informed so we ended up being charged late fees a few months into the year which we had to pay back (horrible situation)!!!! Security - a joke, and provide no feeling of protection and I often smelt drug smoke down the hallway (sadly from a young family who had small children). A few years ago there were many drug busts in the building and I even had the opportunity to be asked to get out of the elevator since a group of policemen were heading up. Maintenance - Having lived there for 3 years you and expect some things to break, but all three A/C units broke, one of them broke numerous times and was not replaced. read more

I come to visit a family member everyday here and I first started to come it was nice boy has it changed . No matter what time if the day I come no matter what floor I visit the place reeks of WEED there is presently a sign around the building stating that they do NOT tolerate people doing illegal drugs JOKES! Management sent out a letter and it's posted to tell residents to report other residents that smoke weed. That is very dangerous , my family member will not be renewing their lease . My family member was denied a new apartment when her lease was over in September she was not given a reason but her rent increased and was told she can not get another unit BUT she can stay in her 800 sq ft apartment and pay 1627.00 . Between dog poop on the pavements , the ramp in the back with trash and people old furniture piling up I think it's best to say I need to move my mid age out out at the end of her lease . She wants a bigger unit and gets a large pension check every month but because she has paid her rent late because she has to either send her credit card number on line (she will not do or she needs to drive her payment to another location ) they do not accept rent payments on site . Her checking account was linked to the payment portal but each time it said was accepted a d gave her confirmation but it turned out each time her payment was never withdrawn. I will say the place is nice but it can be way better and the rent they are charging is crazy . If only she could move to building three it's very nice there a different class of people are there (classy) . It's terrible you have to get white carpet . The hardwood floor units only have the wood in the common area the rest is in the halls and bathrooms . Why are people made to choose carpet why can't it be eco friendly with earth materials . I have lived at this apartment complex for several years, and the longer I live here the more I watch it decline. Firstly, I live on the ninth floor and the elevator buttons were broke for one and a half weeks. I reported it to the concierge twice and then to the office. When I called the office back they put me on hold for a half hour and no one ever came back to the phone. In addition I've had my door mat stolen twice by people who were drunk on my floor. That same night I called the concierge about the noise and they did nothing. To make matters worse I called the General Manager twice to discuss my concerns and she never returned my calls. You should not judge an entire group of people by the poor actions of some. Also, the Towers at Wyncote does not and never has accepted Section 8 or subsidized housing. You may check with HUD if you doubt my word. All residents go through credit and background screenings when they apply. I certainly did. Didn't you, Ms. Georgine? As for your comment regarding the place going down hill...did you notice they added a huge guest parking lot when parking became tight after Summer? Did you notice the new playground near the gym that was installed in late Fall so that the children whom live here would have a place to go? How about the grocery store that was added last year or the Dog Park? They sure seem to shelling out a lot of money for a place that's going down hill!! I think you need to realize that people are people. Some are good and some are bad. This has absolutely nothing to do with race, color, or economics. My daughter visited a friend at the towers few weeks ago. She registered her car and obtained a visitor pass. When entering the parking lot she was told only to display visitors pass on dashboard. Less than 2 hours later her car was towed, fine was $250.00. She is a college student at nearby university. Repeated calls and an email to management have gone unreturned. I am writing this to warn others. Could be set up and someone making money off of it. There was no attempt to locate my daughter and resident of tower was unaware. I am staying in this apartment for last 2 years. My apartment unit is good one with nice view from balcony. It was remodeled one when I moved in. Over all maintenance is satisfactory. Rent is too high but I thought there are good amenities also. But please do not get lured by the list of amenities. The theater which used to have 2 movie shows in a week, now has only one show. They do not take enough time to update the movie schedule on Facebook or even on notice board in each building. The shuttle service is good but not very dependable. You won't get notified about the changes in the schedule or even cancellation. And another big issue is rent increases by nearly 5-7% at each renewal which for me too much considering already high rent. read more

We have really enjoyed the time that we lived here at the Towers at Wyncote. They updated our apartment before we moved in and we also have a stacked washer and dryer in the apartment which is extremely convenient. There was a pretty severe fire in our building not too long ago which was scary but we thought the Towers handled it well. They ordered food for us as we waited to be allowed back into the building and I think they handled the situation as professionally as possible during the situation. read more

alert, alert! they now rent to section 8! so what used to be a premier community is riddled with bad-behind children, scarf-wearing "women" and very poor behavior. dirty diapers in the elevator, smashed basketball rims, weaves in the pool, vandalism. unfortunately I live here and can't wait to get out. they offer "deals" to get people in, but these deals are unsustainable and people move right out after 3 months. all that glitters is not gold, it looks nice, and used to actually used to (as short as 6 months ago) be a nice place to live, but now is not nice at all, unless of course you are incredibly common. I fortunately am not common - I have home-training. So I will not renew my lease. Let me start out by saying that this apartment community is decent. It's large, it has acceptable amenities (except the "gym" is outside of the security gate, and when it's snowing and cold, you don't want to walk outside and walk between 5-10 minutes depending which building you live in), and it's near a Target. That's where the pros to this community stop. The reason I give this property a one star is because of its management and security staff. To start with security -- yes, it is a gated community, so you do feel relatively safe, but this property is on the border of the ghetto that is North Philadelphia. The security staff is lazy and incompetent. When guests arrive, the security staff at the front gate will be talking on his/her phone and make you wait a few minutes until they sign you in. It also seems that the security staff does not any other words/phrase except, "I don't know." As for management, they will reel you in to sign a lease. I was more than happy to do so because I got lucky and got in touch with one of the nicer leasing agents at this property. However, besides him, the rest of the management/leasing agents don't know the concepts of appearance and customer service. Where are the smiles? What's with the tone of your voice from the beginning? When I once went in to ask for a copy of my lease, one of the agents gave me a blank stare and became defensive. I was only asking for a copy of my lease, and not his lunch! Another time when I asked to speak with the manager, the agent in her monotone voice and her unwelcoming stare asked what problem was. I think the more proper way to approach a resident is to ask, "What may I help you with?" Isn't that customer service 101? I think there are a couple managers here, but don't count on Stacy to help you with anything. She will cut you off, and will not let you finish your sentence. Rather, her solution to everything is, "nope!" I'm glad I only stayed there for a year - thank God I relocated! One last thing -- for the price, it's overrated. There's low-income housing here too, so to think that you're paying way more than possibly your neighbor is also unsettling. Check out Lafayette Hill, Chestnut Hill, or even Jenkintown. There are plenty of decent properties that are within the same range and are in a far better location. If you choose this apartment -- good luck! read more

I read one comment about the kids running all the through out the building I experience that while we were there touring. Building 3 was horrible I was not in press at all.. Then again, if the owner instructs his staff to leave trash in front of his tenants doors, in a luxury apartment building, I guess you can't expect much from the staff! I WISH I GAVE THE REVIEWS MORE THOUGHT BEFORE MOVING. MANAGEMENT IS ANGRY AND BITTER AND STEALING! I've lived at the towers for 6 months now, and this has been the largest waste of money. I chose it because it was pet friendly but the person showing me the apartment never mentioned restricted breeds. I signed my lease and gave her two checks. one I thought was a pet deposit. After signing my lease i was told I would receive a copy. Never did. I still have ALL the emails requesting the lease. So a leasing agent decided to stop my partner in the hallway in a very unprofessional manner, never disclosed her name or an identification card, just simply kept yelling shes management and demanded lease documentation along with following her all the way home( mind you she's been our neighbor 6 months). So I call the leasing office to put in a complaint for that incident. I was met with rude customer service. They never looked into my complaint just wanted to back date me for my dog without investigating. If i was hiding a dog why would I walk it? Why would I put in a complaint? So now I'm being evicted because I'm being "combative" by wanting to know what happened to my $250 that was for my animal? Not to mention the pet addendum I signed. FOR ANYONE WHO WORKS WITH PROPERTIES, YOU WOULDN'T MAKE A TENANT SIGN ONE UNLESS THEY HAVE ONE. Also Mary Houser is the WORST there ! I left her a message the day of the incident and NEVER got a call back until I left a note requesting to stop being harassed, which inturn got me evicted. AND FOR EVERYONE WONDERING WHY THE QUALITY OF PEOPLE WENT DOWN ITS BECAUSE ALL of those nasty leasing agents bypass credit checks and allow anyone to move in with a $500 secret deposit. I love living at the Towers at Wyncote. The apartments are spacious, with large rooms and I have a remodeled open concept floor design. The amenities are inviting including the lovely pool with outdoor cafe so if you get hungry you can purchase a snack without returning to your unit. I also enjoy the fitness facility and free Zumba classes 3 times weekly. The Residents Assn. organizes fun activities and trips to nearby sites: plays and shows in NJ, Sound and Sight Theater in Lancaster, Sands Casino, museums, etc. The existence of a residents groups helps build a sense of community. In addition, the Lindy organization is very supportive of the group. Finally, I appreciate the fine men and women who serve on our Concierge team. I want to especially acknowledge Frank M. who provides outstanding service with a smile and friendly word to share. Frank has been known to knock on my apartment door with an important delivery which is greatly appreciated. Frank is pleasant and professional, an asset to the staff. As a retiree, I am enjoying my living experience at The Towers at Wyncote and highly recommend residency here. read more

Awesome place to live! Let me begin by saying a new company came in about a year or so ago. They are making big changes. They are making the Towers look amazing. They have renovated the lobbies, repaved the parking lot, put eco-friendly appliances in and so much more! They always post their renovations and what there doing to improve this place in the elevators. Its nice to always be in the know on what is going on here! The Leasing Office employees are super friendly and very interactive when inquiring information on this place. They worked with me on finding a perfect apartment for my family. We also have animals and it was nice to know they where allowed here! They have a wonderful dog park available for dogs. There are doggie waste stations incase you forget a baggie! The apartments are very spacious, and most have a balcony. There are three different buildings and they all offer so many options. All three buildings have a front desk person as soon as you walk in. Guests must sign in for the safety of the residents. They are friendly and always say hello! The front gate also has a security booth. Guests for one lane and an easy pass option for residents. Very secure. The lobby area and hallways are always clean and kept nicely. They just recently did renovations and it is looking more and more like a hotel! Beautiful! There is also a shuttle station for shopping or just getting around! I have never used the service but they are always running, as I see them around. There is also a gym, (HUGE) with a racket ball corse, basketball court also. You sign in using a FOB. Same system to get into your building. There also is a nice outdoor pool for the summer. A new company just came in about a year ago and changed the pool system so there is heating in the pool for off season. I believe until mid october? They have a lot of chairs and tables for a nice day at the pool! They also have a gated in playground that is perfect for children! I always see it being used (weather permitted) The resident parking is ok. If you don't have a garage spot (pay a little extra) then its every man for themselves to find a spot. They do fill up fast in the evening time. Guest parking is separate. They have a huge lot just for guests. I would recommend getting a garage spot! No snow removal off your car! Speaking of snow removal, they hand out ice scrapers this year for the residents. So nice and very useful! They also have shovels you can used (for free) to remove snow from around your car. If you ever have an issue with something and call the maintenance department they are always there to fix it the next day. Unless its an emergency they always have someone come right away. They are friendly and always fix the problem right away. Unless something more needs to be done they come up first thing the next day and handle it! Very on the ball if you ask me! They also have 24 hour security guards driving around. If you need them for something, you call the front desk and they will handle the situation right away. Lived at the Towers from December 2015 to June 2016- really bad place to live, leasing office is disorganized and could care less about the needs of the renters, common hallways and elevators are not air conditioned, when you contact maintenance they just "patch" problems rather than fix them. So sad how far this great old apartment complex has fallen, used to be a wealthy community now is mostly low income. Everyone was hoping that when Lindy purchased the complex that they could turn things around, but that is not going to happen. Complaints go unanswered, no one cares, you cannot even reach the corporate office to have a conversation about the problems. read more

I have been living at the towers going on 5yrs. now, The new owners are great! Mary Houser the new manager get's a 10 from me, she has always been there for any problems or concerns. The leasing agents , security and maintainence has always been professional to me. There has been numerous upgrades around the property and it's very nice and I'm proud to say I live at the `towers and I love it!!!!! The Towers at Wyncote is an amazing place to live. The staff members in the leasing office and beyond helpful and generous with their time. They are always willing to help at all times. The property itself is in great condition and the facilities they offer are great, especially the gym complex and the pool. read more

Wow, I've heard some doozies before, but the people who wrote reviews really put it out there. I guess people who are lower in income don't deserve a place to live, let alone next to these God awful people who think that the property is on the borderline of North Philadelphia. It's actually in a lovely neighborhood of Montgomery County, close to shopping and near RT 309. Are their nicer properties in the area, of course, but the bottom line is it's apartment living, you never know who your neighbor is going to be, that's a chance you take. As far as parking, it's gated and there is ample parking, but if you park in a parking lot, you take your chances like any other parking lot. Students, God know they are annoying. They are loud and obnoxious and fifthly, but the damn building is next to a University, what did you expect and its a large complex, so DUH....students are going to be your neighbors. I say all this to say, I've lived in worse, the amenities are great and the location is key. Its seems they are trying very hard to make changes, so I am going to stay with it. I just recently moved here and I have to say this is so far the WORST apartment complex I've ever had to deal with. They scam you into thinking that it's luxury apartment when in reality everything falls apart the moment you move in. Not to mention maintenance does not exist here, I've never been treated worse. Before I moved in I had holes in the wall and a door fall off the wall and fall on me! I made a request to have these things fixed BEFORE I moved in, a month later, nothing! All still broken! Made multiple requests since and haven't seen a soul. Now my washer is broken and actually shredded my clothes and there was a brown puddle in the bottom. I've been on the phone for hours and again nothing! I was told by the leasing office I just had to wait... I pay a lot of money to live here and so far it hasn't been worth a cent! My things are destroyed and no one has been helpful or even given me an answer. No one will ever call you back or help when there is an issue. Once you move in you are on your own. read more
