Under Janele's management, there's no order here. Life is so hard. There's no discipline or cleanliness, and everything runs very disjointedly. When I report a problem in the apartment to her, it's as if she doesn't hear me. When I call maintenance, they don't show up for a week. I had a gas leak, and we waited five days for it to be fixed. Also, the power went out in the kitchen because the outlets were old, and we lived without electricity for three days. She doesn't even notify maintenance. The elevators weren't working for two weeks. The carpets aren't vacuumed. When a maintenance worker did come on time and did a perfect job, I asked her to have him come fix things the next time something breaks. But she said he wouldn't be able to come anymore. She's making things worse and worse. It's impossible to get to the tennis court on weekends because she put a lock on it. I think the management here needs to be replaced because the building is very nice and the location is great too. But it's such a mess here that it's hard to live here. read more

One of the worst places that I have ever lived. All kinds of tenants. Many years ago (25), it was great, but new ownership is two young guys who care nothing about the residents. I had to leave after one year. Homeless people have been found sleeping in hallways and some renters are vagrants (immigrants) and do not speak English. Fights in the parking lot among teenagers, smell of marijuana, and for me it was terrifying. 2 young guys own it and do absolutely NOTHING. In order to do laundry, one must take their laundry down to the basement which is creepy and many times the machines are inoperable and will not return your money when dysfunctional. Elevators break down :( I recommend that you seek other residences as you will never feel safe! BTW....packages are frequently stolen! Run, Run, Run, better yet.......Pass and go elsewhere! read more

FALSE FALSE FALSE ADVERTISEMENT! The touring and application process they show you the moves floor and areas but after they lock you in and you get your keys you'll see it's all a cover up. This place is NOT LUXURY living, the manager is never available to solve a problem, she's scared of the people she allows to move in, the people they hire are unprofessional and are never at the desk when needed or when they are supposed to be based on the hours posted, the washers and dryers never work so you put your money in and you have to pay for it twice or move to another machine, you'll save time, stress and money by just going to the laundromat which you shouldn't have to when they advertise a laundry on site! They say the pool is for tentanta only but they have huge parties there and let anyone in on weekends and after hours when the office is closed and the desk person does not make them leave just ingores it, I once found used condoms under the pool chairs the night after they have those parties! The elevator was broke for about a year while I residing there and they were dirty most of the time! They say they offer concierge service but after the office closes and on weekends the person usually leaves or takes extended breaks so you can't get your packages after business hours which is another perk they advertise but don't stick by, they make u pay for a key fob but most if not all the locked doors are always propped open and they don't enforce safety so anyone can walk in. On weekends and evenings it turns into a teen club where they hang out in the amenity building or the basement lounge and trash the place and again nothing is done to change the issue. The parking is horrible, everybody parks where they want and makes up parking spots along the side of building, the trash isn't dumped frequently enough so it pours out of the can and makes the front look a trashy mess especially on weekends and evenings when the office is closed, some of the gym equipment doesn't work. They put people with large dogs and young kids on higher floors so all you hear over top of your head is running all day and they don't help to enforce the issue if you let them know what's going on! Why would you put a section 8 mother of 3 bad a## kids under 10 on a higher floor who doesn't have control of her kids !?? It's just sad because they advertise as this luxury and convenient living but there is NOTHING LUXURY OR CONVENIENT about it! They have a pool but half the summer it'll be closed or broken and they take days to fix it. They want their rent on time but don't hold up their end of the contract ! it's a scam basically, I would only recommend moving here if it's your last resort and you have no where else to go. This place is for people who aren't used to nice things and don't want luxury convenien living ! Don't believe the hype ! read more

Im going to post the worst parts of this place first: -management tearing down walls for "renovations", then cutting the fibernetwork for verizon wifi on the whole floor -management destroying your floor saying its a renovation, then leaving it looking like an abandoned psychward and smelling like throwup on the entire floor. I havent had internet in over a month, and verizon says they have had problems with the 100 york maintenance cutting fibernetwork wires that do not belong to them and that they know should not be cut. -bug infestation. If you move here, cover your drains and air vents. You can even see in the front office that they have bug traps, specifically for fruit flies, but they have never addressed the issue. I personally have taken my pet and left the apartment to do a bug fogger, and returned to find many alive insects. -pipe bursts in their (many) empty apartments that are not addressed until it hits an occupant - they are also NOT PET FRIENDLY for renovations and contacted me in the middle of the work day to start them. The told me I needed to relocate my cat that dqy. I proceeded to take the day off work, as well ad the next two days off. I returned after 3 days that they were supposed to be working to find that they had not even started, as they improperly copied my spare key and could not get in. Again: THEY DID NOT TELL ME THE KEY DIDNT WORK AND THEY COULD NOT GET IN. I had to give a working key for them to print. It took an entire working week, and they refuse to recompense me because they couldnt get in the room and then proceeded to not even call me to ask to get into the room-- and proceeded to send me legal documents as to why they arent liable. Complete negligence and false advertisements. The website is decieving, you will be placed in the run down building that is a part of this company but recieves no care and is never featured in advertisements shown on their website. Horrible management, many amenities are over exaggerated on website, but are less than médiocre in person. DO NOT move here if you have trouble with mobility-- the elevators are out of order more than 50% of the time. Lobby only has a side entrees for wheel chairs and you must climb stairs to get your mail. I would rather stay in a motel 6 Yes, i have contacted maintenance and leasing offices. No they will not do anything. DO NOT MOVE HERE! read more

worst place to live. They do not care about you. Boxes ordered from Amazon are delivered and stolen. Washers & dryers never work. There are 5 elevators 2 are working but everyother week 1 of them goes down or someone gets stuck on the elevator. They have the firemena out to the Manor building constantly. Your car gets towed bu mistake and you still have to pay the $300. They are a disgrace! read more

It's me again. The mice continue to run rampant throughout our apartment. Every time we call the maintenance people or exterminator, they tell us they will come to fix it. Entire day has gone by and nothing. I am tired of being lied to by the staff that couldn't care less about the tenants. The "security" is barely at the front desk and when they are, they're just watching Netflix or fighting with their boyfriends over the phone. The only thing that would make living in this building more tolerable is demolishing it and starting over. 2 more weeks until my lease is up and I could not be more excited to leave this hell hole. If you are considering living here, please. Run. The pictures look nice but they are deceiving. Idk how the staff aren't completely embarrassed to be working here. Nasty nasty nasty read more

The management and staff are all great and super friendly! I love the gym, it is by far one of the best I have seen in an apartment complex. I also cannot wait to use the pool in the summer time. Everything looks great at first glance here, however there are still many issues with this building. We have only been here a few months and have already experienced no hot water, several issues with no heat and smaller minor inconviences. Not to mention the constant sound of smoke detectors going off with low battery signals. When issues do arise it seems as if management tries to brush you under the rug and hope you drop the issue. Communication is still lacking. It also seems everyone is concerned with opening the new loft style apartments, when they still should be addressing issues with current residents and our apartments. They say the building is 60% full, but it definitely seems less. I hardly ever see anyone in the halls or using the amenities building. Overall, I would suggest thinking twice before signing a 12 month lease here. read more

I would not recommend moving here at all! Ever since I moved in a year ago it's been going down hill. It seems they don't care about there building on Washington Lane. They are all talk when it comes to fixings things in this place. The tenants are fed up with this place. There is mold , asbestos, and they have a major rodent problem. They have 4 elevators in this building and only 2 work half the time. There are no elevator working at the moment. They haven't bothered to fix two of them. The other two has been down for over six months. They don't have security when there supposed to in this building but there someone at the other building all the time. You can't get your packages in a timely manner unless you see the the delivery guy. They sell you on the nice stuff like the pool and gym, they have lounges but you can't relax because it smells like mildew and it's a hole in the ceiling, and the TV's in the lounge doesn't work on or the one in the gym work. This place is a disaster. It's pet friendly but there's no waste stations available to clean up. It was so disgusting I had to put a trash can out front to encourage people to clean up after there pet. That's not my job! I don't work here!! Some apartments has heat issues in the winter. I know a tenant that had a hole in his ceiling for 3 months. The washing machines are always broke. At least 3 machines at a time are always broke. All these problems and they want to go up on your rent after a year. It's not worth it. They used to have standards in a certain criteria to move in here, now they just let anyone move in. Save your money!!! Do your research on this management company. They been sued on multiple occasions. It's so bad we put together a committee to pursue legal actions against this group. We have over 300 signatures for the petition to take to the courthouse to file the necessary paperwork. We are fed up here and it's time to do something about it. We just want things to be fixed around here. Don't move to 100york!!! read more

I never lived here and thank goodness for that. We were moving to the Philadelphia area for my wife's work. Our house sold amazingly fast and we needed a place to live. 100 York had the location and space we wanted to live in while we tried to wait out the crazy housing market. We filled out our applications and the fee was immediately taken out of our checking accounts (including $50 for our daughter at who was going to live with us during the summer). All told we paid a $400 application fee. And then we got a message that we did not complete all documentation so our application could not be processed. And we looked at the application which assured us all documentation had been completed. And then another message it was not. We wrote 100 York. Nothing. (Still nothing, more than a month later). We called. Nothing. And so with less than two weeks before the moving van was coming we made calls to other places. And found a temporary we are very happy with. Ironically the day the moving vans came 100 York called us back. I would like to congratulate them for getting $400 from my bank account. And to let them know I am very happy I did not rent from them. $400 is a small price to pay for avoiding a long term commitment with these shysters. read more

I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy to deal with the management at 100 York. After some unforeseen circumstances, I had to break my lease early on. The process took months and the management at 100 York and Metropolitan Properties were all unprofessional, lazy and rude. No phone calls or emails would ever be returned unless I called every single day and left messages, because no one ever answers their phone. When I would get a email back from the property manager, she would answer one question and ignore all the rest. When I came to move in I knew I would be doing a little bit of cleaning, but the amount of cleaning I had to do to the space was beyond ridiculous. It seemed like it had been renovated and they didn't bother to protect anything from getting paint, caulk and dust everywhere. There was paint and caulk in the carpets and on all kinds of areas it shouldn't have been. There was even trash/scraps of wood with nails UNDER the carpet. Been here 5 months since then days with no heat and hot water now no elevators working going on 2 weeks .Looks good but not kept up will not renew lease read more

Would NOT recommend anyone live here. We moved out after our 1 yr lease was up in May 2018. It seems nice at first glance...newly renovated, has nice amenities like gym, pool, pool table, movie room, etc. All that stuff doesn't matter when there is not heat for days at a time in the heart of winter after you are paying you rent and utilities on time! And they offer putting you up in a hotel that is further out in the suburbs which is already inconvenient since its not your home. But even more so when you work downtown and now your morning commute is now longer. The ac also didn't work for a while in the summer. So yes, it is newly renovated...again doesn't matter when there are constantly things going wrong like pipes leaking into your bedroom and then it taking days for it to be repaired while it leaks down the walls to the cable walk hookup (which was damaged during the repairs and it was another headache for that to be fixed) and from the ceiling drips into a large garbage can next to your bed. Again the hotel offer for a few days . That happened once in March and again in April. Lastly, it's bad enough that these things happen but when management is dodging your phone calls and complaints, even more annoying. I even made an appointment, as I was asked to, in order to meet with management. When I arrived on time Jessica (management) walked past me waiting and when the front desk person told her I was waiting, she told her to she would have to call me later, again never talking directly to me but to the front desk person. And I didn't get that call later. It took a lot more requests before I got to sit down with someone else as Jessica again was avoiding me as far as I concerned. We sent several emails, most were addressed but several were not, mainly the ones that they didn't seem to have an answer for. I could go on and on about how dissatisfied we were. I urge no one to rent from this place until they get their stuff together...when that will be, who knows. read more

I strongly suggest that you don't live here. Look passed the fact that it's a "nice" apartment and that the location is pretty good, if you like the downtown lifestyle in the suburbs. There is NOTHING that these people do right. Heat in the winter? Don't count on it, it takes 3 weeks to get that turned on. AC in the summer? Don't count on it, they tell you that it's a luxury and that it's "unfortunate" that it's hot because it's not being turned on until Memorial Day. The Management is horrific, rude, and exceptionally inexperienced. They treat you like you live in a dorm and that you're not paying rent to live there. The Maintenance is equally as horrible as the management, since they never know what they're doing and there's a good chance that you will have to track them down to do anything or if they do it, it won't be done correctly the first time. Word of advice, don't let the pretty model apartments fool you, it's really not worth it. read more

Today is 10/02/20, nothing has been fixed. It has now been 4 weeks. No exterminator or mold removal. I have contacted a tenant rights group. Oh and Ariel C., I am definitely a current tenant call your property manager and ask about the complaints I spoke directly with her about on 9/30/20. read more

Please do not rent here. The power outage happened for at least 6-7 times in the past few months. In the time of Pandemic, when many people are working from home power is the basic necessity. I myself have lost 3 days of work due to power outage. On top of that money spent on eating out due to no electricity is added money spent. And they won't even take responsibility. They said the power company PECO is responsible. and PECO says it was never their issue. Irrespective, it is the apartment's management responsibility even if its a 3rd party issue. They will not compensate in anyways. and when I told them that I have to break my lease a month earlier than I am supposed to(due to pandemic), they said I will have to pay till the end of the month. One hopes that if you expect your residents to understand your issues and live through all power outage stuff, you can also understand resident issues and sympathize with them. People do not have the extra money in the pandemic to spend. And yes, they have mice problems. I stay on the fourth floor even then I had mice in my apartment and their pest services only come once a week. SO you have to wait for them to come and till then live with the mice. read more

I moved in this apartments 6 months ago the staff was great and everything seems right until the new management took over. Plus I am just hating the experience of talking to the manager. She is rude and unprofessional. She would never have valid answer for your question. I completely advise not moving in here. read more

As a new resident this place is the worst. Clearly this will end up in litigation and I welcome it. No hot water, no safety, GAS LEAKS, CRIMINAL illegal garage lock out. BROKEN DOORS TO A SECURED AREA. WATER DAMAGE NOT ADDRESSED. HEAT OPPRESSIVE. Constant electrical trips that are being reported today. Paint and lead chipping regularly. Son has had to be rushed to emergency appointments because of the heat issue. And when u complain they retaliate...by locking my child and myself out of the garage WE PAY FOR. Moved in April still waiting for a MAILBOX KEY. Property Management is useless and clearly complicit in the criminal illegal garage lock out and will be held personally responsible for the criminal act and damages to myself and son. ZERO STARS THIS PLACE SHOULD BE CONDEMNED. Security prefers to pluck their eyebrows in the hall mirror (no where near the front desk) instead of being at the front desk. read more

f you're apartment hunting, my advise is simple: STAY AWAY! There's always a bunch of apartments available, tells you how popular they are! On the move in date, we had a huge leak in the ceiling that needed extensive repairs, and no one bothered to check the apartment beforehand! Then they had another similar unit available for same day move in. Building is old, no isolation, gets real hot in summer, AC breaks sporadically, repairs are happening all the time. Winter is just as bad, no central heat / air, and no thermostat in unit. Kitchen cabinets outdated Toilet was coming off the floor Hallways smell mouldy some days Could not wait till we moved out!!! Also, nonsense security at the door, ID and sign in all visitors all the time? Why? That's coming out of your rent too totally unnecessary It gets worse, proves they just want to make money! We give the notice to move out, sign the papers, all good.. then a couple of months later get a $3000 bill because they withheld the fact that the move out fee which was paid in full had to be paid prior to the 60 day notice, which we would have done if we knew, except no one mentioned it and we met with the leasing office staff at least twice to finish the moving out paperwork. Due to their incompetence, we get a $3000 bill because now it looks like we did not give the notice on time based on the payment history, trying to explain that we would have paid it on time if we knew and it was only two days late from the date they really wanted it was useless!!! Even though the move out paperwork was signed and there's a whole email trail proving we gave early notice, they insisted that we need to pay the fee. Tried to reach corporate, nobody answers the phone, emails, nothing! Bill goes to collections and we are forced to pay it as not to ruin our credit! Worst management ever! And the staff who handled the moving out acted like they knew nothing and avoided us, cc'ed them on the emails to corporate and they did nothing, and left many messages to speak to the owner, we are not important enough for them.. I bet they did this with others to make a couple thousand dollars for nothing. Looking at other reviews I'm not surprised at the bad experience, and seems like someone died in that building. Also, good reviews on google seem fake.. they all came in one cluster in the last 6 months in an attempt to save face and the rating suddenly jumped up! On Yelp still a 1 star, that's generous if you ask me. STAY AWAY! P.S. to Business manager who is responding to the bad reviews with a generic "sorry you had a bad experience", don't you give me that on here! Please give me a number to call where someone will pick up the phone and address the issue, otherwise deal with the reviews that come to you from your horrible management! EDIT: after the expected generic response from manager to call the number so they can address our concerns, no one is answering the phone or returning our messages. Thank you for the continued proof of how low your standards are, and how unimportant your customers are to you. ARIEL C, please answer the phone instead of copying and pasting the same sentence to all your bad reviews in an attempt to make it seem like you care! read more

I would give 0 stars if that was an option . The place is horrible. There's mold in several areas of the apartment building, bugs and critters, barely any working air, during the holidays there was no heat and hot water for days leading up to and after Christmas. The complex shows a demo apartment which appears to be flawless and I am assuming they offer the areas that are in top notch condition. The heating and coolant system is controlled by the property. The laundry center has 1/2 working dryers, the washing machines belts break while your clothes are washing which leads to the need to go to an actual laundromat. There had been plumbing problems in which the sinks would overflow causing water damage in the apartments down below. Recently, they implemented the use of parking stickers which put visitors on a curfew of leaving by 7 or risking the car to be towed. Ironically, I pay for parking in a garage, my car as well had been towed. So in addition to paying to park in a garage, the complex must have given the tow truck permission to come into a garage that you need a key fob to get into and tow cars that do not have an identifiable sticker. After retrieving the car for $280, I was told that I would have to pay for a replacement sticker or it could be added to my ledger. Everything advertised is false, the concierge is supposed to be present from the hours of 6am to 2 am, that's never the case. There was also 3 instances that my packages were "lost and or stolen." The doors are never locked so you do not need to use the main entrance to enter. You can just enter through one of the many opened or broken doors. There's at least one door with a missing door knob which is clearly a fire hazard. The elevators are inoperable and on at least 2 occasions, I personally was stuck with my younger children. Basically, stay away, it's extremely high priced projects. Lastly, there is no one in a higher up position to offer any assistance, they take your money and after that they become mute and deaf. The staff at the building lack any empathy for any issues that occur basically due to their lack of managementagement read more

Higher Management and rules are terrifying. Current resident. It's like getting stuck between a hard place and a rock around jenkintown. There really isn't a good managing company around.. not that I know of it. And 100york LLC. Is not a good one. (If you know of a another place I'll be glad to hear about it) From maintenance issues. To no ac on the hottest days, to random charges on your account (that you have to dispute), to eviction notices (because their system screed up), to the office staff literally saying they will not assist in any way as the company policy is not to.. and they've seen the same situation before... Trust me. Its not they aren't being helpful.. they just want to ease your pain.. So, you want to live here? Sure.. if you have no other options.. I wouldn't blame you. This place is terrible. There was no management, everything was falling apart, mice everywhere, fire alarms went off all the time. The elevators were constantly down, floors were falling apart, multiple broken pipes and water leaks, bathroom ceilings falling in from water damage. Since everything is breaking all the time the water and AC or heat and constantly being turned off for repairs. The AC gets turned off in September so they can turn on the heat. Your apartment will get unbearably hot and the heater constantly leaks hot air into your apartment. If a washer or dryer was not working the management expects you to call the company to get it fixed. I lived here for 2 years and the only reason I stayed that long was the location was too convenient. Even when they changed management it was still terrible and they were rude. read more

This place is a joke all they want is your money, and what you do pay is overpriced for what you are getting. Constant issues with the apartment. In all locations there is black mold in the building and everywhere; they just paint over it so it doesn't show. Water leaks in the apartment which also leads to mold. I've had them fix the problem once and they clearly didn't do a good job as result it came right back, in the winter months there were rats and mice everywhere and the staff was trying to blame it on tenants. Now today in the midst of summer the power has been out for 24hrs, the food in my fridge is starting to go bad and the whole building is extremely due to no a/c and there is no hot water. This place is not very good at dealing with problems, they either cover them up or put the blame on you. *Warning given read more

Wow where do I start. Well for starters the place is disgusting. Please do not be fooled by the subpar renovations that are being done. The building is infested with mold and mildew. One trip through the laundry facilities and the amenities building will prove this. It is even worse in the apartment units. I was forced to move out due to a severe cockroach infestation in my unit that began when they started renovations. Despite my partner and I cleaning thoroughly every day, the problem got so bad that we are forced to move after only being there for 1 year and they never sent an exterminator no matter how many complaints we made. The office staff are extremely rude but the manager is the worst and has no customer service skills at all. She will stare at you with a blank look and offer no solutions. She is clearly unfit for this position. On the side of the main building close to the tennis court is a wasteland of pet crap that has been there since I moved in. This place is not suitable for people to live in and they take advantage of their tenants. Everyone of my neighbors have already moved out and we are the last to go and we cannot wait. 100 York has been my absolute worst living experience and ironically has been my most expensive living experience as well. I can truly say that the people who run this place are huge liars and this is in no way a luxury experience. If I could personally speak with anyone considering this apartment, I would plead with you to save your money and time and find somewhere else. read more

This is the worst apartment buildings that I have lived in, Everything looks shiny and new but its horrible. The air and heat are always going out. I wake up to cold water, unable to get ready for work. I have put the same work orders in over and over with no result, Now they are adding all these rules to the amenity building, I can no longer have my trainer with my in the gym( Or anyone else for that matter). I use to have a few people over to play pool or have book club in the club house and now i can only bring 1 person in. Which doesn't make sense because i'm always the only person in the building so its not a overcrowded issue. The amenities building is empty because whats the point of a pool table, club house or movie room when you cant have company, I feel like i'm living in a expensive dorm. Management needs to make changes ASAP. I currently live here and if i could give zero starts i would! My roommate and I moved into 100 York apartments August of 2018. Immediately upon move-in we were extremely disappointed, there was no freight elevator even though we were told there was one, we were also told that it was cable ready move-in and again that was not the case. Mice also have been a major issue for us. Between November and February we caught THIRTEEN MICE. Nothing is being done by management to fix this issue. We have spent our own money on traps and repellants to keep them out. I will say maintenance is very helpful, and they note that we have one of the cleanest apartments they have seen so it is not a matter of us being messy or dirty. Currently, we have duct tape over the holes because management is doing nothing to help us. Also the guest policy is absolutely ridiculous. You can have a guest stay over 6 times for the entire month, for the money i am paying I should be able to have guests come as they please. I will say the apartments are spacious and it is extremely convenient being that I go to school across the street, but that is where the positives end. Overall, I would absolutely NOT recommend anyone to 100 York. read more

DO NOT LIVE HERE. Absolutely horrible. Severely poorly managed. I've lived here since 2018 and have had countless problems. The only reason i stayed was because I can walk to school, and they accept dogs. I've had black mold on my bedroom wall (next to my bed) for the whole time i lived here, and was only FINALLY fixed a couple months ago. But they never replaced the base boards after doing so, so mice come up through there into the apartment. Numerous issues with mice as well, mice dropping every where and we are clean people (no trash or food is ever left out, bc they will try to tell you thats why you have mice). Next, power outages even when its not raining, and it will only be the complex without power, no other surrounding buildings. This happened several times over the summer in extreme heat, and while trying to do schooling online. When it rains too hard, leaks every where in the building as if its raining inside. It ruined my bedroom carpet and some of my belongings. We were never compensated for anything, and now as we are trying to move out, they are trying to charge us over $2,000 for not giving enough notice (when we were not reminded this was part of the process) and for moving out a few days before the lease ends?? Makes no sense to me. Save your self the misery, and DO NOT LIVE HERE. The managers are the most unreasonable and unprofessional people i've ever met, and its impossible to get in contact with the corporate company. read more
