Yeager executes her role--which often teeters between ombudsman and enforcer--with exceptional professionalism. She has certainly earned every bonus possible! The maintenance team is prompt and effective, and most tenants are friendly, considerate, and respectful. Like any apartment community, Brookview has its share of challenges. There are occasional issues with vehicles speeding through the parking lot while blasting loud music, groundskeeping debris being blown onto parked cars, tenants leaving garbage bags and pizza boxes in the hallway outside their front doors, and residents leaving emergency exit doors cracked open despite the building's climate-controlled interior. Likewise, the units are not well insulated, and although the building is generally quiet, I can hear nearly every footstep my upstairs neighbor and their pets make. The property is pet-friendly, and most pet owners are responsible. However, some dog owners do not clean up after their pets, and some dogs whine or bark incessantly when their owners are away, sometimes daily. Some cat owners allow their cats to roam the grounds freely and leave cat food and water in the outdoor common areas despite the property bordering a park with abundant wildlife. I have personally encountered red foxes, groundhogs, owls, squirrels, and other wildlife on the property. As someone who is highly allergic to cats, I haven't appreciated unexpected encounters with roaming cats on my terrace and patio furniture. Likewise, I believe leaving cat food outdoors only attracts additional rodents and wildlife. I also experienced rodents entering my apartment through openings behind large appliances. After I reported the issue, maintenance promptly moved the appliances, sealed the openings, and resolved the problem. What stands out most is how professionally management handles these ongoing challenges. They deal with these issues every day while continuing to lease and manage the property effectively. Both Ms. C. Yeager and Ms. A. Baker are outstanding professionals whose responsiveness and dedication make living here a much better experience. They deserve recognition for the work they do.

You will never get a hold of them, they are never present and to not hold any of their employees accountable. The words "I don't have time for this" were said on multiple occasions, in response to a visible black mold infestation. On top of this the buildings are quite literally rotting away, I had my shower wall fall on me. Nothing is fixed right, they simply glued a thin plastic piece over the hole where the wall fell and called it a day. Hands down a painfully negative experience all around. Would avoid at all costs.

The offending office manager was female and has a pattern of ridiculing tenants, building straw-man defenses when something is brought to her attention. Trashing people, basically, as seen in one of the responses to a person who suffered neurological and heart and lung consequences of the hidden mold in this unit. One must wonder who is living in the unit now and whether proper remediation was performed before they sought more money moving someone unknowingly in, as was done to all 3 of us and our dog. They were brazenly about money with no regard for safety, even as they hid the issue as was evident by moisture-detection disks that they had hidden in the unit, out of sight (discovered upon move-out). I was the one who meticulously documented and sampled of all of the areas of mold, which were MANY. See photo for evidence. I have at least a dozen more images. We were advised to contact the Attorney General's office for the horrifically angry disrespectful character-assignation style of by one of the office staff members, whenever a tenant approaches her with a problem within the rental or property. Tenants were throwing trash off of their balconies, losing car parts to thefts, mail boxes broken into and mail stolen (two pre-paid SIM cards were taken from mine, but I never bothered to notify because by that time, it was so common and management's angry reply was always: "call the police" .. even as they put out notices routinely to the tune of call us if you see anything. Utterly contradictory. In my case, I simply cancelled the plan on the sims and started over with the provider). Distressingly, the office manager who takes great pleasure in mocking disability, whether medical or otherwise added to a very difficult time in this experience. This was unprofessional behavior that should be taken very seriously. The pattern of hot and cold was unstable behavior, irrationally out of nowhere, could be simple or major matters. Also the exaggerations of tenants' questions to her, misinterpreting the simplest of inquiries as something that it's not. Shifting attitudes and policies. One moments it's ok that residents are tossing trash on the grass, attracting wildlife to come too close (coyotes, rodents, and bugs), and then it's not. I observed conversations with others that went off the rails by the manager freaking out without provocation. It was not a place I'd want to lease ever again, and I hope that those who live in mold check out how dangerous that can be. Check online pages about indoor mold toxicity. Hope that they will not ridicule future renters who may find the mold sooner than we did. We left because we knew something in there was toxic, but didn't see the mold until moving things around during move-out. They aggressively fought and we paid the money they wanted, just to get out of the drama of them, but never again. Renters beware. Several have said that the management team spends a lot of time 'faking reviews.' This is just hearsay, but I wouldn't be surprised, given the reality of the experience and conversations with other tenants.

It was brand new and always clean, the Management and staff were super friendly and helpful, and there were community events every month! But with the change in Management 2-3 years back, it's become a terrible place to live. The Management team only cares about the bottom line, and will stop at nothing to get as much money from you as they can. The constant shortage of parking spaces at the complex creates daily issues for both guests and residents, and they'll have your car towed instantly without even a warning (I know from experience, unfortunately). Instead of offering solutions (like giving more tenured residents a reserved parking space at a discounted rate), they seem to ignore the issue and just accept it as a way of living at the complex. (It's not their problem unless you pay extra for a reserved spot each month). I've watched my parent's dog about 3-4 different times a year as they were away on vacation, and each time, Management consistently argued I should be subject to the pet fee and monthly pet rent, or else I'd be breaching the Lease contract. (Again, another money grab to get the most money as possible out of their residents). What once was a clean and luxurious complex has become disgusting and sad due to Management's negligence and inaction. Dog owners consistently leave feces within the hallways. There's a constant smell of marijuana in building 3000 every day. Car break-ins were happening in broad daylight. Public amenities like the fire pits are always broken and unusable. Management does nothing about these issues besides sending a vague email to all residents which never solves these problems. But all these problems pale in comparison to the inhumane living conditions we were living in - Building 3000 has a persistent mice infestation that we experienced on a daily basis from January 2025 through our move-out date in May 2025. After informing the Management team in February 2025, their only solution was to bring in their "pest control vendor" to put more traps down in hopes to resolve the issue (something we've already been doing for the past month with no success). The severity and prolonged nature of the infestation made it so bad that we ultimately decided to leave and find better living conditions for ourselves and our two-year-old daughter. Despite the health risks and poor living conditions, the Property Management team and Leasing Office never offered alternative solutions, condolences or compensation of any type during or after our stay. We thought the nightmare was over after moving out in May 2025, but this past week (5+ months later), we received a notice from a debt collection agency on behalf of Park Square to collect a $200 "additional balance due" to cover cleaning costs (something they verbally agreed to cover due to the mice infestation). You read that right - $200! They'll stop at nothing to get every penny from you, and they don't care about the residents at all or improving quality of life at the complex. Whatever you do, avoid renting from Park Square. Also, if you're aware of a strong legal/counsel practice in the area with experience in these scenarios, please contact me privately as I look to pursue legal action.

Often times they say that they have already completed your request for maintenance and they have not. The front office does not answer your calls. You have questions in regards to your bill and no one returns your phone call. The lack of communication and professionalism at this place is horrible. At this point. I will continue my lease until it is up, but renewing will not be an option. They have now added on additional fees that were never added on before. We pay for water and sewage and trash and other additions like insurance and property fees that were not originally a part of the leasing agreement. Last, but not least, we lose water often, trash shoots are shut down, and security is a joke. You can get into the doors without any key or fob.

Little did I know that some minor maintenance would be the least of my worries. I had been living in the apartment short of two or three months, when the real problem came. After a long day of work I'm watching a movie and my boyfriend see's a mouse run across the room. I'm immediately upset and frightened at this point. I Have Never Been More Scared In My Life!!!! So, first thing the next morning I call the front office and they just acted like they were in disbelief and they would take care of the problem. Well......I can whole heartedly say it's been months and I'm still having the same problem. I have spoken with the office manager Megan and Regional Manager Karen at Scully company. They have since admitted to the older buildings as being infested with mice due to the construction around the apartments. Plus further inspection of the apartment, they have hidden holes where the pipes run for the heating, under the bathroom sink, behind the stove, etc. So it's like the mice can just go from apartment to apartment (because you can hear them all in the walls and kitchen area). I have spoken with several other tenants in the buildings and they have seen mice in their apartments. When I ask for a resolution they offered me to move on a sister property (which seemed like the simplest resolution but also was a hassle, seeing as they said everything would transfer over but when I called their property manager she said you have to go through the whole process of applying over again). So not only do I have to look for another place, I have to go through the process again, and as a healthcare worker find time to afford to move all my items somehow into another place. I'm very disgusted with management and Scully at how they are handling the situation. Mind you I haven't heard from the office in two months now, No follow up, No checking in, No Nothing!!! I want to say that the maintenance men have been absolutely AMAZING!! Also, this area has a very bad problem with ants. Really bad. If you sit on the benches in the yard area, you will have ants crawling on you at some point... not just maybe one or two.. but quite a few. I used to sit out there with my cat who was an outdoor cat.... after a while, I had to stop doing it because there would always be an ant crawling on you. They get in if you open the window through any crack... and you have to open the window in the winter and early Spring because the apartments get so hot otherwise as there's no circulation. I've lived here 7 years and I have never even turned the heater on in the winter. You have to open the door into the hallway and/or open the windows outside to get it to a normal temperature. Is the price affordable? Sure. But I can't get them to stop my neighbor from stomping around and they're using COVID now as an excuse to not address it or fix routine maintenance problems such as the ceiling fan with is so clogged with some (I have no idea how to describe it but it's unclean and is almost like lint from a dryer). I can't turn it off... it's on when the lights are..... but they said, "we'll be monitoring your requests to decide when we come...." and apparently roaches entering the apartment from under the toilet is low priority for them . They also have plumbing problems here too. When neighbors run their garbage disposal, it clogs up somewhere down the line and it ends up backing up in my apartment... This has been happening for years. They've come a few times to fix it too... and they have fixed it... only to have it clog again later. I have to scrub out the tub every few days because the dirt that's left behind is almost like some kind of sediment. I put down clear pads on the tub to avoid falling because they painted the tub from a drab green to white by PAINTING it and because I nearly fell once... these clear bath pads are now brown... that's how much sediment and grime comes from the water here. Seriously... this area made the news due to the army base just up the street on NBC News dumping chemicals in the water... It made the news twice in recent memory. Aside from that, the neighborhood is relatively safe.. but just be mindful if you end up in C building on the lower floor... there's a reason I moved out..... if the only thing stopping roaches from crawling out from under the toilet is caulk (that breaks apart if the toilet is moved even slightly) and they won't fix it, you'll run into them too. Yes they were a thing the year that I was born but it's really time for PA to stop selling outdated apartments at an overpriced rate and just do away with them. Maybe it's because I'm from NY where yeah you're paying an arm and a leg for rent but no one would dare sell you an apartment that was last renovated the year that I was born. The amenities are awesome but the price for these apartments are outrageous. You could get a more modern, luxurious apartment with the same amenities, if not better at the KOP Town Center. If you're looking for a luxury apartment with luxury amenities than maybe look at the Town Center. If you don't mind paying 2,400 for an overpriced "upgraded" apartment that still feels old, then this is your place to be. They do have great amenities and a door man but for the price that you're paying, you're better off going to The Ave and Omnia in the KOP town center
